Customer Since 2015: 4/25/22: I, at one time really liked this business for my glasses. After seeing another optical specialist from my health plan, there was a discrepancy about the prescription performed on the glasses I purchased from Levin a year ago. I took them back to the Perry Hall office where they were done originally and explained my concern that the prescription check performed by my optical specialist on my pervious pair did not match what Levin had performed. I was informed by Melanie that there were no issues but she had no problem wanting to schedule me for an eye exam with their optician. I questioned as to WHY I should have another exam even after showing her the recent prescription from my recent optical specialist. After some thought, I agreed to accept the appointment ONLY after it was agreed that I would NOT be charged for the exam via conversational agreement with Melanie. After more though about the scheduled appointment, I later contacted the main office and spoke to Nicole, was referred to Gabrielle at the Harford Road office and explained the matter. I was asked to come in and my glasses were checked by David who was gracious to show me how the prescription was determined. Then, it was suggested by David that I schedule an appointment with their office(Parkville) and be seen by their specialist House on 4/25/22. I stated to both David and Gabrielle that I was already scheduled for an appointment at the Perry Hall office and that I would not be charged. David stated that in other words "he would honor that request'. I do not recall ever speaking to Gabriele about arrangements for making a claim with my Eye Plan for the appointment because I ONLY spoke to David about it at that point. On 4/25/22 I had the appointment with specialist House, thanked Gabrielle and David for being so kind and working with my issue. David also suggested that I'd come to the Parkville office for now on if it's not a problem going forward. With enthusiasm I said 'yes'. 5/2/22: I was notified by my Eye Plan via email that a claim was made by Levin for the 4/25/22 appointment. I then called the Parkville office and was explaining to Gabrielle about what was discussed about the appointment and why a claim was performed by their office. Before I could finish discussing my issue, Gabrielle accused me of not letting her explain why and 'she also stated that "I hurt her feelings, because they were trying their best to assist me". Before I said my last words, Gabrielle continued to say "If I don't like it here then I should go somewhere else". I stated that then 'going forward in the future that maybe I should then' because I was not about to get into a shouting match with her. My biggest concern is 2 things: 1. I stated to Gabrielle that IF she had informed me that a claim was being performed and the copay was being waived, then I would not have made the appointment as I stated to Melanie at the Perry Hall office. 2. Accusing me of 'hurting her feelings and stating that "If I don't like it here then I should go somewhere else"? NOTE: They all at Levin were gracious and kind to me in the beginning, but this issue with Gabrielle really changed my confidence in this business provider of services to me, the customer. AGAIN: I do not recall ever speaking to Gabrielle about arrangements for making a claim with my Eye Plan for the appointment because I ONLY spoke to David about it at that point. The most helpful eyecare I've ever received has been from Levin and the staff. Highly recommend their services.

I went to this place of business and was deeply disappointed in the customer service me and my two children received. From the moment we walked in the door. The lady working behind the desk was very nasty to me. The whole transaction with her was nasty. I felt like race was a issue here. I chose this place because it is local in walking distance from my home. I was happy with there selection of frames but unfortunately we never got to get glasses because I left due to the second class treatment me and my children received. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. I will not go in to detail but I wIll say if you are black and your children have red and white insurance cards this might not be the the place to go for eyecare. read more

Awesome. Dr. Levin himself examined my eyes and told me exactly what was going on specifically with them. I had been on a perpetual cycle with Pearle/America's Best type places that don't really work with you to tell you what you need. I was helped in selecting a frame that would be covered by my insurance, instead of being told to just pick one and charged through the roof. They also were able to fit my frames to my face right after I tried them on with the lenses. Great customer service. I would highly recommend. read more

I've gone to this office for routine eye care since I moved to Maryland 7 years ago. I am always treated with respect. Sure they get busy from time to time and can't talk as much, but that's typical for any business. Give it a try...it's worth it! read more

Went with my husband to get his glasses and shades; the shades were fine, the glasses came back wrong, they sent it back, it came back nothing was done to fix it, they sent it back, he called today to find out since it is over 3 weeks, they were kinda off putting told him they will call back still waiting on a call back. What ever lab they are using they are not good, and he paid close to $800 with insurance for both; you would think they can get it right, or at least call with some news. read more

I was just reading a comment that was below and it's so funny because I felt the same way when I started going to this place. About 2 years ago when I first walked in there I felt like you know kind of out of place because of my race that's what I thought was going to be an issue but I overlooked it so today I recently had an appointment. The receptionist. That works there has Always been rude but I wouldn't say anything but today she like really took me there and I just want to put it out there if you have a job that you have to deal with the public. And have a bad attitude don't take it it's bad for businesses I really think that people should take a better look at how they to engage with the public I feel like wherever you go no matter what color you are you should still be treated with respect I don't care if you're paying $0.01 for your services you should be treated with respect you're still human read more

Eyeglass wearer but put contacts in for a friends wedding and have a terrible eye phobia. After 2 days of poking around in my eyes and not being able to get them out, I went in to see Dr. Levin. I felt like a total idiot coming in because I couldn't get my own contacts out, but Dr. Levin was so sweet and told me it "happens all the time", which I'm sure isn't true - but made me feel much better. He even offered to have me come in again and go through putting them in and taking them out so I could learn how to do it correctly. It's obvious he really cares about his patients. read more

The staff, from the time you check in to when you leave, is wonderful. They are all courteous and I never feel rushed. All my questions and concerns are answered. Dr. Levin called the next day to see how I was doing since I had started a new eye drop. I would recommend them highly. I was seen in the Perry Hall location. read more
