Amazing Service Experience Yesterday, the screw holding one…read moreof my eyeglasses arms on fell out. Obviously, I can't wear the glasses without the screw in the arm. I tried several repair kits, but none of them had the right-sized screw. I thought perhaps there would be an eyeglass store in Woodinville that might be able to help me. Fortunately, I picked The Optik. I sent an email as well as a text to The Optik. Approximately 20 minutes later, I got an email back from an associate named Lilly. Her email was very pleasant and inviting, so I drove over. A sign on the door indicated that they were short of staff and there might be a wait, but I didn't have to. Lilly was sitting right at the desk. She recognized me as I walked in. She took my glasses and said Please sit down and make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back. Who does this nowadays? In about 10 minutes, she was back out and said that she wasn't able to find the exact screw, but she did find a screw that she cut and used to repair glasses. Remember this: I had no appointment. I had not purchased my glasses there, and she didn't know me from Jack. I haven't had better service from anyone in the past few years than I received from her. Thank you to Lilly, and thank you to the owners at The Optik, who hire the right people with the right attitude and training. If you need new glasses or a minor repair, like I did, I highly recommend that you go to The Optik.

Check in was easy and fast and inside is updated and clean. Plenty of parking. You will do usual eye check in stuff like measuring eye pressure and vision check. The only difference I had with this place was they didn't do dilation. At the end of appointment, they told me that retinal imaging isn't covered and i have to pay out of pocket after exam was finished. It would've been nice to let patients know ahead of time to choose either dilation which is covered under insurance vs retinal imaging for convenience but not covered by insurance. Ended up paying for $40 dollars for the scan and checked out in an hour. Overall staffs were friendly, but the experience left bitter taste in my mouth.

I had a bit of an issue with the new Retina camera (I have sensory issues) as it emits a very high pitched noise (think camera flash charging, but the sound never stops and it's really loud) and they were sooo gracious and patient with me. Incredibly understanding! They let me husband in with some earplugs for me, and I was good to go! They had no issues with understanding this and letting him bring them in for me. I'm also a contact lens wearer, and have gotten many fittings here, and just ordered my first boxes of contacts from them last year as well, and it was great! I got my first pair of glasses done by them last year, and omg I'm in LOVE with them. As a previous patient of Costco, you couldn't pay me to go back there, or anywhere else (they've messed up my glasses so bad, they're unwearable, so I wasted a lot of money) With Comfort Vision, you get what you pay for, and that a very high quality care of your eyes and eye health! KEEP LOOKING... I cannot recommend this place…read more The exams were good until we decided to order glasses. I asked for progressive bifocals with anti-reflective, and transitions lenses. The same type of lenses I have gotten for the past ~20 years. When receiving my glasses from Valerie I mentioned that they have a grayish yellow tint. I'm not a fan of this coloration on the lens as they create a raccoon eye affect. Additionally, I happened to drop the glasses on the floor (from waist height) and one of the lenses popped out. Seems like workmanship might have been an issue. She says she asked for the lab to redo the lens to correct the tint while reinserting the lens. Yet, when the glasses were returned, they still had the coloration added. I don't believe they changed the lens at all. And this is where I have a problem with customer service. When I pointed out that the problem persists I was dismissed and made to feel as if I created the issue and it is not their problem. I asked Valerie if she could just check with the lab and ask for their help in determining the problem. Her response was to yell at me that they have already sent the glasses back once and there is nothing else they can do. Now that I have used my insurance allowance with them I cannot order new lenses with another shop unless I pay out of pocket. Very disappointing. Two other areas of concern: 1. You need a separate appointment from your exam, in order to shop for glasses. The technician (Valerie) needs to unlock each pair of glasses from the case before you can try them on. 2. The parking situation in Chelsea village can be described as "difficult" at best. Paid parking requires that you sign up with personal information that is kept on file. All of this makes the entire experience less than desirable for a repeat. I cannot recommend this place.

I've been a frames & lens customer there for a couple years with no problem until recently. I ordered my glasses & lenses June 23rd, 2021. I waited 3 weeks for them to come in, despite the receptionist writing down they would be in in 7-10 business days. When I called to inquire where my glasses were after 14 days, & pointed out they had said 7-10 business days, the receptionist said she never said or wrote that on my receipt! I have the receipt for proof. She denied it was her who helped me but I clearly know who I worked with! Does she think I'm blind & dumb??? When my glasses finally arrived, I went to get them & she refused to let me in to make sure they fit right or were comfortable. Everywhere I have ever purchased glasses has done a fitting to make sure they were right! I went to my car, go to put on my new glasses & discovered they had ordered the wrong frames! I went back & asked if I could keep the wrong ones until the right ones came in & this same receptionist told me they couldn't do that. Now keep in mind again, they will not let you in the office. They come unlock the door, stand guard through the crack & lock it behind them while they check on things. You're left standing in the sidewalk until they come unlock & crack the door to talk to you again. So I left with my old, wrong prescription glasses & STILL waited, 7 WEEKS later now, for my order. I called the end of July asking where my glasses are & the same receptionist now told me "special orders take longer". THEY WEREN'T SPECIAL ORDERED! She also told me that I could come get the wrong frames & use them until the right ones come in! When I asked why she had initially denied this request, she claimed the conversation never took place & denied she would have said that. Does she think I'm deaf too??? This woman is a flat out liar. This twit receptionist claimed she left me a voicemail that they had come in.... She also claimed she'd left me a voicemail giving me the status of my correct frame order. My phone rings just fine, and I receive daily voicemails. There were no calls or voicemails from her. She lied again. Fortunately, I was finally able to pick up my glasses today.
