I was delighted with the service and the attention to detail at this fine store. Dr. Schiller, during a regular eye exam, caught a very slight irregularity that could've become a very serious health issue in the future, if not addressed right away. I wish I could give this business ZERO stars! Or even -5 stars. I had a HORRIBLE experience there.... I've been a frames & lens customer there for a couple years with no problem until recently. I ordered my glasses & lenses June 23rd, 2021. I waited 3 weeks for them to come in, despite the receptionist writing down they would be in in 7-10 business days. When I called to inquire where my glasses were after 14 days, & pointed out they had said 7-10 business days, the receptionist said she never said or wrote that on my receipt! I have the receipt for proof. She denied it was her who helped me but I clearly know who I worked with! Does she think I'm blind & dumb??? When my glasses finally arrived, I went to get them & she refused to let me in to make sure they fit right or were comfortable. Everywhere I have ever purchased glasses has done a fitting to make sure they were right! I went to my car, go to put on my new glasses & discovered they had ordered the wrong frames! I went back & asked if I could keep the wrong ones until the right ones came in & this same receptionist told me they couldn't do that. Now keep in mind again, they will not let you in the office. They come unlock the door, stand guard through the crack & lock it behind them while they check on things. You're left standing in the sidewalk until they come unlock & crack the door to talk to you again. So I left with my old, wrong prescription glasses & STILL waited, 7 WEEKS later now, for my order. I called the end of July asking where my glasses are & the same receptionist now told me "special orders take longer". THEY WEREN'T SPECIAL ORDERED! She also told me that I could come get the wrong frames & use them until the right ones come in! When I asked why she had initially denied this request, she claimed the conversation never took place & denied she would have said that. Does she think I'm deaf too??? This woman is a flat out liar. How she's managed to remain employed at Bella Vision Woodinville is beyond me. How many customers does she pull this act on? There is no "corporate office" to contact, all Bella Vision in Redmond did was give me the "General Manager's" email. I emailed her, basically this post, and have never heard a word back from her. Go figure. Communication with this business is zero. Ironically, after I emailed her, my frames MAGICALLY showed up today! This twit receptionist claimed she left me a voicemail that they had come in.... She also claimed she'd left me a voicemail giving me the status of my correct frame order. My phone rings just fine, and I receive daily voicemails. There were no calls or voicemails from her. She lied again. Fortunately, I was finally able to pick up my glasses today. This time, she let me in & made sure they fit correctly. Ironic since she refused to do it originally. I will never go to Bella Vision Woodinville ever again & I caution you not to either. What a disappointing experience and waste of a morning. Biggest warning is watch out for the unknown cost until your exam is over.....You could be paying $275 EXTRA for a contact lens exam IN TOP of the cost of the regular exam. I asked for a regular exam plus a contact lens exam, a retinal screening which I pay for out of pocket and that I understand , but then she said you have to pay $75 to $275 for the contact lens exam. I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN CHARGED MORE THAN $75 FOR A CONTACT LENS EXAM DONE IN CONJUNCTION WITH A REGULAR EXAM BY ANY DOCTOR IN SEATTLE OR OTHER STATE so I said I couldn't sign a blank form if I WOULDN'T BE TOLD THE COST UPFRONT! The receptionist said "THE CHARGE ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF CONTACTS THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBES" I let her know I wear accuvue 2 with a normal prescription and still couldn't get any commitment as to price until AFTER the exam. I called my insurer today and they said they couldn't believe someone wanted $275 for a contact lens exam unless it was some rare medical condition. MY ADVICE STAY AWAY IF THEY CAN'T GIVE YOU A PRICE FOR A CONTACT EXAM LIKE EVERY OTHER OPTOMETRIST OFFICE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE. read more

Do not shop @Woodinville location for frames and lenses. I took my 8 year old there to get a first pair of glasses. The experience was very bad. 8 year old was not allowed to pull the mask down to see how the frame fits. I regret that I haven't left the office and didn't purchase glasses for him in a friendlier place. The frame doesn't sit correctly on his face and I regret wasting $$ at this location I saw doctor Antymis, no issue there. Good prescription. I had my vision exam done here in December of 2011. Yes it was over 1 year ago; however, after my vision exam today at a competing firm, it made me realize how much the service at Bella Vision is not unto standards. Bella Vision charged me $25.50 for a contact lense fitting fee, despite the fact that there was no change to my contacts or vision, just simply because I wore contacts. They stated the doctor had to look and make sure the contacts I had in when I arrived were fitted correctly, something their Bothell office was the ones who prescribed a year ago and took less then 3 minutes to look at. This was in addition to their normal exe exam fee billed to VSP of over $300. The doctor was very short in her tone, made little eye contact and seemed upset during the entire visit. Horrible patient relationships. I would not recommend or use Bella Vision again as a result of my visit to their office, their office visit had me terrifed to go back to a vision doctor again until the wonderful service at Seattle Hill Family Vision today in Snohomish. read more

My wife likes this place.. we have both been going here for several years now as it is close by but the level of service when going in to buy optics for several hundred $$$ dollars seems short many times. If you don't know what you want and you need guidance towards your eyewear for your lifestyle, come prepared and educated. My 1-star is for their contact lens supply and delivery, not the doctors I saw. I found the doctor I met highly professional and very helpful. I've been lied to and misled by the representatives of this shop to retain business and I wouldn't trust their promises of 'you'll get this by date x'. They'll give you any excuses to say why it didn't happen and keep you on the hook just enough so that you don't go to competitors. On my phone conversation with them a week before leaving the country for a month, I explicitly gave them my flight details to check if they can get me my contact lenses by then. They first gave me an excuse that the supplier had a back order for a few months and then immediately reversed their stance once I called Costco and found out I could get the same lenses from them in two-three days. They then said - we'll charge you an extra $80 fitting fee if you order it from someone else. What? I said I don't care about the cash, I need someone who can get me the lenses before I left next Friday. I requested them to remove a hold on my vision insurance if they can't promise me a delivery date, which they gave excuses for, ultimately saying they need the doctor's approval. After talking to the doctor, I was told that I should try two different pairs of lenses and give them an order by Tuesday so that I can get my lenses by Thursday or Friday. I assumed they finally had their act together, and followed the timeline they wanted. I call them for a status check on Thursday, one day before my scheduled flight next morning, to find out that the lenses won't get there until after my flight. While I'm willing to give anybody the benefit of doubt of miscommunication for a one-off thing, their egregious conduct and repeated lies qualifies them for a 1-star. read more

Bella Vision is hands down the best place for all your optical needs. From their AMAZING customer service, ease of scheduling, to the sweet and kind Dr....Bella Vision has it right. The high end brands they carry for frames which are reasonably priced, add a bonus that many offices don't offer. Most importantly, the service that I received as a new patient was what impressed me the most. Sadly, it's not as easy to find these days. Keep up the great work Bella Vision!! Please don't judge this location off of the old reviews. Dr. Amaraweera is new to the Woodinville location and she is fantastic. I followed her from the Redmond location. Worth the drive every time. She takes the time to listen as I have a sever eye phobia. Normally when I have to get an eye exam I shake and have passed out before. I just left after my exam and I am fine. The team is comforting and walks you through everything. You don't feel dumb or taking up time. Eye glass selection is wide. My significant other will be switching doctors and locations. :) read more

The staff here are always helpful and friendly but this review is 5 stars due to the office's exceptional coronavirus precations. Every customer has their temperature taken before entering and all employees keep plenty of distance. Each pair of glasses you try on is placed aside to be disinfected before the next customer. You can tell they take patient safety seriously, but everyone there is still super friendly and casual. Customer service out for every penny they can get, personel were argumentative when it came to having a pair of frames replaced due to damage even though they were covered for two years, we had to call manufacturer to prove they were guaranteed, never to return- also- very expensive, main lady in charge had the worst breath I've ever had the unfortunate experience of being exposed to- terrible read more

I was just in this morning. I made an appointment to have an eye exam, and potentially get new frames. I arrived 20 minutes before my exam to fill out paperwork. From that point forward I was ignored, and basically left to wait for almost 45 minutes beyond my appointment with no notice, no simple "hey were running a little behind", nothing. Then when I asked about why I had been waiting so long I got nothing but attitude from the receptionist. Don't go here if you have any expectation of service or getting in on time or anywhere close. I wound up leaving with no eye exam and won't ever return to this disorganized and unprofessional establishment. read more

Update: After giving my initial review, I received a call in January from the office manager, stating that they have reviewed my problem and have decided to change their return policy for an exchange of the frames I did not like. For a local place, they have a good selection of frames. I saw Carl Zeiss posted everywhere, it's obvious that is who they go through. Explains why it's expensive to begin with. It doesn't hurt to ask questions you know .. speaking of which .. The young woman at the front desk obviously knows enough about insurance and lenses .. I've never been asked if I'd like an itemized receipt before; that is smart to ask since people go through "benny" accounts these days and like to wait until the end of tyhe year to accumulate. Organization and articulation in customer service .... .. finally! After going through all the optical places in the city, go here. Just the service alone will be worth the extra bucks .. if not, be cheap and get glasses you know you will gripe about later. read more

I was nervous starting with a new place, as I loved my previous one. But due to insurance requirements I needed to move. It turned out I was very happy with the results. Everything went easily and everyone wonderful to work with. Only problem was my own, as I forgot to check hours open and didn't notice they were closed Monday's when I went to pick up my glasses. read more

My friend told me about this place and I had already got my exam somewhere else so I only bought glasses from here. But the staff was great! Hayley helped me pick out glasses and sat down to go over all my options, told me about my insurance, and even gave my kids some crayons and something to color so that they weren't bored. My glasses came quicker than I thought too! I will definitely be coming back! UPDATE. My wife went in for her exam, didn't need glasses but said that the doctor was great. I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere. The female doctor was very unhelpful and did not follow through with emailing me the printed prescription she promised. The office staff are very young and unprofessional. The Woodinville location has a mirror behind the front desk where anyone can see the personal information of the patient being viewed at that time. The worst is their additional of hidden or not mentioned fees. Truly horrible experience. read more
