They do not dispute the services with us. The activity director promised several times to send us payment for our services and has not followed through. The executive director, regional administrator and the activity director have blamed the lack of payment on their corporate office. Supposedly, they are going to correct the situation, but they have not done so for months. This must justify why they are totally unable to get small invoices paid, do not follow through about providing an answer about sending payments and then do not send us payment. Are they having financial issues generally? Who knows. This is a disservice to the elderly who live there as well as to the honest vendors who provided them with services.

Right before I walked in to meet Raena, the community specialist, for the first time, I said to my sister, who accompanied me, "I have a good feeling about this place." And I was right! Raena was knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. She answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. The community is clean and relaxed and visually appealing. But more importantly is the culture of the facility. I witnessed employees joking around with each other more than once! They were happy at work - imagine that! The residents were happy as well, and both the employees and residents were welcoming to my sister and me who were strangers on a tour. The community has activities every single day, a doctor that visits once a week, a hair salon, game rooms, meal service, laundry service, a 24 hour receptionist and I could go on and on. On move in day we were all a little nervous, but my family member was welcomed with open arms and that welcome has not stopped yet! I can honestly say that she is getting personalized attention (and love) from the staff and all of the residents have been so very kind and encouraging to her. Mary (Community Liason) has been an asset to getting my family member settled. She has honestly gone above and beyond and is still, 3 months later, helping my family member adjust. Brian, the owner, is extremely caring and dedicated and has filled in on several occasions when he had a sick call from his staff for which he couldn't find a replacement. Having worked in senior living for over 16 years, I can say with certainty that I would never place…read moremy mother in this memory care facility if I had a choice. With the exception a few care staff and kitchen staff who were compassionate as is staff member one being named Z and the other Ameriline the rest of the team appears untrained and disengaged. While they may smile, the nursing staff behavior is often aggressive, and they routinely ignore alarms and resident concerns. The cleanliness of the rooms is unacceptable--dirty laundry is left on the shower seat . Residents are denied autonomy, including the simple choice to remain in pajamas if they wish; instead, they are forced to dress regardless of their comfort or preference. Most troubling is the lack of personal connection. Staff make no effort to understand who the residents are as individuals, which strips away their dignity and humanity. I witnessed deeply concerning conditions during mealtime, but the list is too long to detail here. They did finally listened and now my mom is comfortable in her pajamas. The most distressing moment was finding my mother undressed, lying sideways in her bed, with two soiled diapers discarded on the floor--and then being confronted by the caregiver when I raised concern. This experience was heartbreaking and unacceptable. I strongly advise against entrusting this facility with the care of a loved one.
