I dropped my car off when they opened on Tuesday, 1/14...with them saying my car door would take 3-4 days. Well, those days quickly passed with not a call or an update. By the time Saturday, 1/18 came - I finally had to reach out to them. Left a message, heard back from them on Monday, 1/20, saying that the employee who was managing my car, unexpectedly quit and essentially they were trying to pick up the pieces. How frustrating is it for you to leave your car with a company, have to follow-up with them days after your car was supposed to be finished, then find out they don't know what's happening-which means they haven't even started on your car! Urrrrrgh! So they call back on Tuesday saying my car should be ready Wednesday, which wasn't the case at all - it ends up not being finished until Friday, 1/24!!! So now, although my insurance company is paying for the rental - I'm paying for SEVEN extra days, which of course counts against my insurance policy (in terms of the total costs for this accident) since I was responsible for the accident. When I try to request the owner consider this in terms of my final payment, he basically says he'll only take off $50 since my insurance company is paying for the rental! No other compensation was offered despite the poor customer service and almost triple the delivery time than they initially told me. I finally get my car and not only has it NOT been vacuumed or cleaned (EVERY other time I've taken my car in for auto body repairs - the shop makes my car look better on the inside and outside than when I dropped it off as a courtesy), they also left the papers over the mats that are usually removed. Worst yet, the door was installed incorrectly!!! So if you are in my passenger front seat, you can't get out! Like a child proof lock, when Lexus doesn't even have childproof locks for the front passenger seat!! And, there's a little piece on the inside of the door that should be tucked in, but it's just hanging loose as if they just didn't care about the quality of work. And, they claimed that I'll need to return in two months to have the door buffed. I have had parts painted and replaced at other places and NEVER had to return two months later for anything! This has been an absolutely awful experience and given how much I paid for this auto body work - I'd recommend you take your car somewhere else. I was extremely disappointed in the poor communication, poor customer service and the terrible workmanship. Do not waste your time here. The facilities might look good but that surely doesn't reflect their service.

The staff are unbelievably nice and I can tell they do their jobs with pleasure. I dropped my car off on Monday and received several text updates throughout the process. I was told it would be done by Thursday and indeed it was. I was reminded via text and someone called to confirm as well. My car looks GREAT (see before and after pics). Not only did they fix the outside but they thoroughly cleaned the inside and outside of my car and made it smell so good! They also checked my battery and told me it was bad and that I should get it changed soon. They charged it up for me so that I could have a few extra days to replace it. They did all this as a courtesy AND to top it off, they gave me flowers! My husband is being shown up by a car repair establishment lol. I called Tinley Auto Repair wednesday at around 5 pm and they informed me the key was mislabeled as a toyota, when it is a subaru, and that caused confusion. I was understanding about that, and asked about having my key delivered to the body shop. I was told that they would contact my bodyshop and have the key delivered. I visited my bodyshop thursday at around 10 am and was told that Tinley Auto Repair did not contact them yet. i called Tinley Auto Repair and was told that "We are a small shop, and we only have 5 people working here, i dont know when the key can be delivered" to which i understand that, but i was informed my key would be delivered the day by them, and that they were going to contact my bodyshop. she took my number down and told me she would call me back. I called back at 11:30 and gave my name and asked "i am just trying to figure out whats going on" to which the response was "uh, with what?" i asked "when my keys will be delivered" and i was put on hold, and then she came back and explained the situation from the beginning, which she had already explained to me. I asked when my key would be delivered, and she told me "can you stop? i dont know anything about this, i was just informed of this, this morning" when that is not true, i had called the day before and spoke with her and was told my keys would be delivered for me. she rudely told me the keys would be delivered and then hung up, i called my bodyshop and was informed that Tinley Auto Repair was asking them to come pick up my keys, and now suddenly they are a 4 man shop not a 5 man shop?? also they called my bodyshop AFTER i called them at 10 am. i called again at around 2 to confirm my keys were delivered, and i was told yes and then hung up on. thursday, i left a google review stating my experience and the rude customer service. the company responded, with what i feel is a dishonest response. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain how my keys were mislabeled, and that its not your fault! because you know of course its not your fault. but to say that you guys handled everything yourself, and that my bodyshop appreciated you in this is craaaazzzyyyy. and nothing addressing that attitude on the phone.... so if you value any form of customer service or trust, do not come here! or dont get into an accident in tinley park :)

On April 28, 2026, I brought my wife's 2010 VW Beetle in for service at 8am to fix the driver's…read moreside window that would not go all the way down. Around 3pm, I called to see how the work was going, I was told they would call me back. Received a call back that the car was ready for pick-up. The window was fixed no parts needed just a bent regulator in the door panel. When we returned home, we noticed the door panel was NOT installed correctly (SLOPPY WORK) and the top of the window sill had a little grease on it I had to clean with a cloth. I called them back and to let them know the door panel was not installed correctly and would be back in the morning. We returned to Tinley Auto the next morning and the door panel was correctly installed in (10 minutes). On the way home, I stopped for fuel and pushed the gas button on the lower left driver's side door panel, the VW trunk opened. When I pushed the trunk button, the gas door popped opened. SOOOOOOOOOO, I had to call them "AGAIN" and mentioned the wiring wasn't hooked up correctly to the door panel. Drove back to Tinley Auto so they could correctly hook up the wiring to the gas and trunk buttons. I mentioned that they should knock off some money I paid for labor and this aggrivation. I haven't seen any discount for what I paid to get this LOUSY SERVICE! I WOULD NEVER USE TINLEY AUTO AGAIN AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, THEY DO SLOPPY WORK!
