When I got to the register the girl (Ava as it shows on my receipt) didn't say a word, no eye contact. A self check out at least says hi and welcome. So disappointed because this is not a cheap store to have this kind of customer service.

I visit Huntington Beach often and stop in here from time to time to grab a shirt or some sandals. Huntington Surf and Sport has all sorts of apparel from brands like Hurley, O'Neill, Vans, Quiksilver, Billabong and Volcom. You can also rent a board for the day if you don't have your own. In front of the shop is the Surfer's Hall of Fame and a statue of surfing legend Duke Kahanamoku. The Surfer's Hall of Fame had its first inductees in 1997 and honors legends of the sport with handprints and footprints on the sidewalk. Huntington Surf and Sport will sometimes set up canopies outside to sell marked-down merchandise.

If you're going surfing, diving, swimming, or just need some good ocean gear, go check out The Frog House. Great people, great service, and a great spot for everybody. They immediately offered to help, checked in the back for additional board options, and took the time to educate us on how to progress to the next board as our skills improve. They also explained how to properly care for and carry the board, which was incredibly helpful as beginners. They quickly installed the fins and leash for us and even helped make sure the board would fit in our car before we left. We will definitely be back when it's time to upgrade to our next board, and we may even return for a skateboard as well. We highly recommend this shop and will absolutely be referring our friends and family.

You won't get much customer service here and it may take you time to find your sizes or something you like...but his place is like hitting pay dirt. They also have tents outside in the parking lot. We have gotten so many great things for $10, $5, and even $1!! We usually spend at least an hour when we come looking for things. It is not very well organized inside but you will figure it out. We have purchased everything including fins, dresses, shirts, rash guards, sunglasses, blankets, hats, sunscreen, shorts and bathing suits. They have a few dressing rooms so you can try stuff on. Overall, this is the best place to come to get gear and very decent prices. Just bring plenty of time and patience and you should be able to find stuff you like.

I used to actually enjoy coming here and could count on finding good deals on decent clothing, but now it just feels like a waste of time. Definitely not what it used to be.

This HSS location has become a staple for me to stop at every time I come down toward the pier…read more The sheer number of brands carried here, the knowledge of the staff, and the fact that they have the sidewalk sale on hoodies, hats, shirts, and more always drives me in as well. They truly have so much to choose from as far as styles you can never see it all during a single visit. From Van's to Volcom to RVCA and more, this is a Beach goers dream store all under a single roof. They can be a bit pricey on regular in store items, but the sales savings equal things put a bit, and the quality and variety is top notch. The only thing holding this back from five stars is the fact that it sits in the busiest part of the beach (for obvious reasons) so parking does not come easy to find or cheap as you either must hike from a nearby housing track track allows parking or use a neighboring lot of meters. I am a huge fan of this shop and will continue to come here for years to come. Also, be sure to check out the coffee shop inside as well, as they too are an amazing little business tucked inside.
