You won't get much customer service here and it may take you time to find your sizes or something you like...but his place is like hitting pay dirt. They also have tents outside in the parking lot. We have gotten so many great things for $10, $5, and even $1!! We usually spend at least an hour when we come looking for things. It is not very well organized inside but you will figure it out. We have purchased everything including fins, dresses, shirts, rash guards, sunglasses, blankets, hats, sunscreen, shorts and bathing suits. They have a few dressing rooms so you can try stuff on. Overall, this is the best place to come to get gear and very decent prices. Just bring plenty of time and patience and you should be able to find stuff you like. read more

This place used to have decent stuff, but now it's honestly a huge disappointment. Most of the shirts look like leftover clearance items no one wanted, and the sweaters feel like they're made from the cheapest, flimsiest material possible. The quality has clearly dropped across the board. They used to have a solid shoe selection, but now it's either picked over or just poor-quality options that don't seem worth the price. It feels like they've completely stopped caring about what they put on the shelves. The whole store has gone downhill less variety, worse quality, and nothing that stands out anymore. Went in yesterday to grab some new snowboarding boots. The guys in there were super helpful, legitimately the best customer service experience I have had in a long time. Patient, listened to my pain points with my original boots and helped me find the best fit that I know will work out so great when I'm back on the mountain. Asked what we were looking for multiple times and he was very pushy. I eventually told him we wanted to shop on our own and didn't need assistance and he just hovered and continued mumbling things. Who is the large, middle-aged man working there that so many people are complaining about? I must say, I agree with the criticisms. My experience with him today left me appalled. I visited the store earlier to purchase over ten items and returned later in the day to buy more. At the register, this man was covering the counter. I separated my items into two piles and politely asked for them to be rung up as two separate transactions. He responded by suggesting it would be better to ring them up together because each transaction incurs a 50-cent fee. I told him I was fine with the fee. He seemed displeased and added, "Well, they charge us a fee too!" His tone was strange--monotone and nonchalant. I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic, humorously awkward, or perhaps had a disability. I smiled and explained that I work for a bank, so I understand transaction fees and the mechanism of it. I further clarified that I needed two receipts because I was buying items for friends and wanted the amounts to be accurately displayed on each receipt. He then replied, "What, your friends don't trust you with 50 cents?" He had a curt, unpleasant smirk, making it clear that he was serious and intentionally being rude. At this point, I was annoyed. I noticed a young woman standing next to him who gave me an uncomfortable smile, as if she too felt uneasy about his behavior. After I paid, she began placing my items into one of the store's sturdy branded bags, which I had received during my earlier visit. However, the man waved her off, grabbed a generic brown paper bag, and shoved my items inside. He appeared visibly upset, and I sensed animosity toward me for reasons unknown. As I was walking out, he said, "I just lost 40 bucks!" Confused, I turned back and asked, "I beg your pardon?" He repeated, "There's $40 worth of stuff in your bag that I just lost!" Shocked, I asked the young woman, "What did he just say to me?" She looked extremely uncomfortable and avoided answering. I then turned to him and said, "Well, it's called business." In retail, carrying inventory always involves some risk. To my dismay, I learned he is the store manager. I don't understand why Jack's continues to employ someone who has received numerous complaints. His behavior is not only unacceptable but damaging to the Jack's branding. read more

I was in Huntington Beach having my car serviced and by luck passed by this Jack's Surfboards Outlet. I decided to stop and I am so glad I did! There were racks of t-shirts under a canopy in a parking lot and most were $5. Super cute styles for my niece and nephew. I asked where to pay and the person working in the lot directed me inside. I had no idea there was a full store inside! I found a hoodie, more t-shirts, and magnets. My arms were full and the entire pile was just under $80. I need to go back again because once was not enough. They also have shoes, bags, surf gear, water bottles, roller skates, and so much more! Prices are crazy good! I highly recommend! read more

I was at a kids birthday party at Bolsa Chica and my wife & daughter wanted boogie boards. I looked around for inexpensive options and founds Jack's Outlet. It was a little further than I wanted to travel but it had the best options. I walked in and the boogie boards were in the front. The clerk asked what I needed & what size and directed me to them. Then today I came to get last minute pants for a party since I forgot mine (I live in Riverside) and they closed a full hour early. It even looks like they we been closed. It's 5:06. I ordered 2 hoodies online and was later emailed that one hoodie was not in stock and they would be shipping without it. I called during business hours to ask them to replace the hoodie but they never responded. They finally got back to me days after my first call saying that if I wanted a different hoodie I would have to pay shipping again. This store is hit or miss - if you're lucky, you'll find a GREAT deal! I've been here a few times and got lucky with an O'Neill dress and Roxy snow gloves a few years ago. My most recent trip with family was kind of a letdown. The limited women's section was filled with pretty bland designs. I also browsed the little boys and girls sections for upcoming birthdays. In those 3 sections, I noticed only Jack's brand was 50% off, other brands 30% off (O'Neill, Quicksilver, etc), and plenty of 4th of July, 2018 US Open of Surf and Christmas designs while shopping in April! Men might have a better shopping experience because there's a noticeably bigger selection for men! Aside from clothing, there are wetsuits, surfboards, leashes, fins, towels/changing towels, swimsuits, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, purses, backpacks, snowboarding stuff, and random small items at the front counter like sunscreen, lip balm, stickers and phone cases. Some of the items don't have a discounted price on it, so just ask staff! We had confusion with an item that was hanging on the sale rack, but the staff told us it should've been folded (not on a hanger) in a pile of FULL priced shirts. No returns. Been shopping here for years and recently bought a new complete snowboard set up for about 1200. First day boarding found out the screws for the bindings were wrong. Shop did not offer me new screws instead gave me left screws from their used bin. 2nd The snowboard transport bag I got was about a foot bigger than my board ( I made mistake having the employee picked it out) tried returning it but it was one size only and it was "used". Lastly, my vans dual boa system boots is defective. Called ask if they can exchange it since it's been less than 30 days. They said once it's used regardless of it being defective or not. No returns. Came here for one thing, and one thing only . . . . . to pick myself up a 4:3 mm wetsuit and nothing else. It gets a might chilly when you're ridin these winter swells, so I had to score one at all costs. I walked in, focused and headed straight for the wetsuit section. I knew what I wanted, but I also knew what I was up against. Jack's Warehouse is arguably the best outlet when you're looking for quality low priced men's, women's and kid's beach and snow gear. Wetsuits are 40% off here, but to get to them I had to navigate my way through obstacles a plenty. The first obstacle was the hoodie section. They had pullovers and zip-up hoodies galore. Most were the "Jacks" brand, but thats quite alright because Jacks makes stylish and quality gear. They have Quiksilver, Volcom and ONeill hoodies too. Hoodies were 50% off so after the discount some were only $20. Several hoodies piqued my interest, but my will was strong so I made it out of there without grabbing something I already had 2 or 3 of. The next obstacle was the snowboarding section. As I passed through this section I noticed bindings, boots, snowboards, jackets, gloves & pants. This is where I felt a little weakening of my resolve. These weren't just unknown brands here. They had some heavy hitters like Quiksilver, Thirtytwo32, Vans, Burton and more at 50% off. A chill in my bones crept in and told me to try some stuff on to warm myself up. Tried on several jackets and pants, but decided to leave the section when I looked over at some Technine bindings and thought I heard dark voices in my head saying "buy us . . . buy us . . . buy us. . ." Then I reach the beach section. I think I'm home free until I see racks and racks of DC and Lost walking shorts; Volcom and Billabong board shorts; Bodyglove and Quiksilver tanks; and Ezekiel and Grenade woven shirts. I'm lookin at all of this and the only thing I can think is . . . . . "Now I know how the girlfriend feels when she's at the COACH Outlet in Barstow." The older man that works here is a Douche. Every time I went to this store he was always in a rush to close. The last time I went to get my online order, he said it wasn't there (again) and ended up finding it where he looked previously. I stayed to look around and I asked if I could try on some items he said THEY already closed the fitting rooms and just to try it on over my sweater. I mentioned I didn't have anything under my sweater and he opened a fitting room with HIS key that was in his pocket. I ended up buying the items but when I had to sign he took it before I was done signing. We weren't even there for 10 minutes because they were closing soon so I rushed. This is an unusual review for this outlet. Our family has been going here for YEARS and have always had good experiences until now. I took our grandkids and son with me to shop for them before they went home(out of state) which is something we usually do whenever they are here. When we got there, 2 employees(young guys) were working and as we found items we were interested in, we found a couple of items we felt required further discount and asked if that was possible and we were offered a fair additional discount than what was marked. Continuing our shopping spree(which ended up over $600), we placed our items at the cash register so as not to be bulked down with our items. When we were finally finished, we went to check out and an older grey haired man was at the register(he came in while we were still shopping) and when we stated that we were offered additional discount on two items, he said "no that wasn't allowed". I specifically said the discount was already offered by another staff member and he replied "that staff member didn't have the authority to do that and he was putting his employment at risk of being fired"!!! Needless to say we didn't purchase the additional items and probably should have just not bought anything!!! Upon leaving, my son walked over to the young man who had initially been helping us and told him he was doing what is right in business and that he should continue to be customer service oriented unlike this older guy who was a complete A**H**E to us. It doesn't mean the store is terrible always, or anything about their inventory etc, so judge that for yourself, but I'm writing about my experience, right? And this was my experience: i went to the Olukai (shoe brand) corporate office. They told me go down the street to Jack's outlet to try some on. So i knew they had some. I called. " hi, I'm looking for Olukai". --(immediately) "Oh no, we don't have that." "That? It's a shoe brand." --"Oh, we don't have it." "Ok....could you look it up for me?" --"no, we don't have it, sorry." (Click) So, I mean, we went somewhere else to look. I'm sure for certain brands etc it's a good store but I have a feeling that you can't count on the customer service, if that's something you're going to need. I visited the store today on 10/20/2018 and by far it has been the worst experience ever. To start off, the original price tag of what the shirt cost is different from what the customer is being charged at the register. The price tag said $25.00 with a 30% discount. Once I paid I noticed that he charged me $26.00 with a 30% discount. Some might say, "it's just $1 difference" but I don't like to be cheated on a price. Secondly, the man who charged me, to which my understanding is the manager of the place has absolutely no customer service at all. Not a "Hello" or even a thank you. You know all those Jack's Surfboard stores? This is a hidden one - where EVERYTHING is 50% off. Yep, you read that right. 50% off. Half price. Two for one. The catch is that it's usually last season's stuff (but what really changes that much in the surfing clothing culture) and sometimes you call tell it's sample type clothing because the sizing will be really off or the button placement is off or something like that. They have a HUGE selection of mens and boys stuff. Only a few racks for us gals but they are worth checking out! Not to mention they carry wetsuits / surfboards / shoes / accessories... all at 50% off. It's sort of hard to find. And check the hours before going they aren't your typical hours. read more
