This is a heartless place and there are thieves. My mom was in this facility for 2 years and became ill all of a sudden with an infection the doctors somehow never figured what was the cause and could not save her life. We needed to send her back on hospice to Vista Cove and they said her bed was taken. When we went to pick up her stuff her bed was empty and her stuff boxed up. As I went through her belongings I noticed her wallet with social security card and other personal belongings missings. I refused to sign release form and am disgusted that they can turn their own dying patients away also steal their only possessions. They also need to take better care of their patients I believe my mom would of been around longer if they would pay attention to their patients not wait to the last minute to send them to the ER. If I could give this place a negative star I would. My dad was scheduled to be at Vista Cove for 5 days but after the second day, we took him out and brought him home, this was new years weekend, a horrible way to start the New Year. Just to name a few things the staff funked up...they were giving my dad the wrong medicine, my dad is a aspiration risk, and I told them over & over puree food only!, I come early the next morning to check on him and they have eggs bacon bread and juice in front of him! To make matters worse he can't feed himself so he could only stare at the food! When I alerted the nurse of what was happening, no one wanted to take responsibility, it was finger pointing the whole time. My dad is on oxygen and needs a breathing treatment twice a day.....the morning i got there he had no oxygen on, the second day I came, my dad looked horrible, really fatigued, so I asked about the breathing treatments and he hadn't had one since he left home! I was pissed to say the least! Vista Cove is a fucking Death Facility! If you have a family member you care about just a little bit. Don't take them here, they will leave out worse than they came in! read more

This place went from mediocre to worse. Even basic things such as grooming and meals are a low priority to an overworked staff. I seen them through multiple social workers and have never once accomplished anything we set out to do. It's unfortunate I would write a poor review and I actually don't believe the owners care about yelp. The shortcomings in this place could be addressed easily by even a little more presence by management and by hiring more staff. The other stuff are integrity issues. You have to care about your residents sufficiently to be willing to do more than the bare minimum. The caregivers are nice enough, definitely overworked. The standard of care here leaves much to be desired. read more

My grandmother is left to scream for help in her own bodily fluids we try to help her and they call the police on us and make up lies trying to say we hit them threatened them and lol get this they said we threatens to burn down the building with my grandma inside I think not dumb asses! they try to get arrested for trying to help my grandma they make up lies treat the patients like shit and leave them in there own shit! A few of the people working here do a great job but others are really grievous. for more than two months I asked every day persistently to get cleaned up in the morning before breakfast, diaper changed, and to brush my teeth and comb my hair though after about 7 weeks I only had it done all of 5 times spread out over all that time and they were still bringing meat for a vegetarian despite letting them know every single time. I have been to a dozen of these places over the past 9 years and found there is an epidemic of bad communication. I have lost my I.D card in the laundry at nearly every one of these places including this one and the laundry lady who doesn't speak English insisted she never saw it and it hasn't turned up after 6 weeks or so. Then there was the physical attacks and threats. 2 people, Joel and Charles struck me for no good reason. Apparently crazy people are there preferred parients because they kept them around despite inflicting violence on a poor defenceless guy who has lost all the muscle and it only a skeleton as compared to when at the Hospital before arriving here and the latter of the two has been going into rooms and stealing cigarettes. I look nearly 940mg of Morphine per day (6) 40mg Opana and 8mg Dilaudid since 2009 until I came here where they wanted to give me only Tylenol #4 which is not going to help Hep C. and subsequently I atrophied and wasted away unable to ambulate and can barely push outside for about 10 minutes about 10 times per day whereas I would be able push on a chair 30 miles per day. I thought about calling the Ombudsman but I have found they are more likely to take the side of the SNF rather than hold them to account. Besises, I really don't want to be anywhere I'm not wanted and rather than stir up strife and contention I would rather get on a train and go to North Dakota but the lost my I.D. so I'll have to hit up rideshare or hitch-hike. Also, I have no wheelchair of my own because the hospital lost all of my luggage and a $3k TiLite Evo wheelchair which I had previously used to travel to nearly every town and hamlet in California and back east to Virginia, NC, Tennesee, and had just gotten it all fixed up perfectly with a new $800 Roho cushion. Now, medicare will not pay for an Ultralight wheelchair while at the SNF. I had one ordered before I was medivacced here from the Specialty Hospital in Modesto and they assured me they would send it when I arrive but I never could get them to call in regards to it. I don't want to slander these guys pf accuse them of anything. There is so much confusion in the world and I'm not as sharp as I could be. I'm definitely losing my good attitude. I just hope they would take it as constructive criticism. They are working in the confines of a sick system designed to profit from people getting sick and dying after they have made bricks for Pharoah with no straw all their lives getting paid worthless paper and lied to all their lives. There are some wise old people who if they were out in 'society' would object to what is going on and would recognize it as being worse than NAZI Germany and they would have something to say to the youth which may wake them up and think for themselves and kill their t.v. and we cannot have that so they dope them up and put them away. As I said there are many kind gentle souls working in places like this but there is only so much one can do. If you let go and let God then there's no limit. Medicine grows on trees but people have been brainwashed to look to the MDs who cause more death and injury with their sorceries than drunk drivers and murderers do with their automobiles and weapons respectively. A friend of mine was transferred here in August 2018 from a hospital in Fontana. She couldn't get out of Vista Cove fast enough. Her first day there was a real bad experience and pushed her to the limit of stress to the point of tears in her eyes. She is not a healthy person. She called a friend to come pick her up and take her home against Doctors orders. When they finally got her a room she found cigarette butts on the floor next to her bed and the room had a bad smell. When she called a nurse to come in a clean up the room the nurse smelled of alcohol and seemed a little loaded from drinking. Plus the nurse had a bad attitude. When my friend asked for a wheelchair so she could go outside for some fresh air, she was told they don't have any. Imagin that! A care center with no wheelchairs! I don't like to give bad reviews on the internet, but through my own experiences there are a few of these bad care centers in the Fontana and surrounding cities and something needs to be done about it. I have called "corporate" on a few and one place I was a patient at about five years ago, I won't mention the name, had sent their owner, and managers out from back east in response to my complaint at their website and a letter I sent through the mail. Wow! I heard one whole shift and two head nurses were fired. So be careful and don't assume the large hospital with a great reputation and good reviews on the internet that is transferring you to a care center is using good judgment or has even bothered to check the center they regularly use will be good. I am really satisfied with the care that my mom receives at Vist Cove. The facility is clean ,and the staff is very friendly and attentive to her needs. I would definetly recomment this place to anyone serching for an assisted living facility in the area. read more
