Very disappointing that after multiple phone calls to confirm the flight he never showed. After three phone calls this morning, 45 minutes after we were supposed to take off the pilot called back to say oh sorry my mistake I screwed up. That's it. Thank God we found another flight in San Diego to take but I would not recommend flying with this guy. If he can't even figure out how to get to a booked flight on time, how in the world can he fly a plane?

We struck gold coming across Laila and could not have asked for more. Our trip included a wide range of activities to include diving, zip-lining and a luau. Accommodations were carefully chosen to give our family the most comfortable stay we could have. Fast forward to the Fall of '22 and we were in planning for a 2 week European Vacation over Spring Break '23. Laila was extremely attentive and energetic throughout our planning and had so many great ideas that we had no doubt we would get the best experience possible. Honest discussions helped us to hone in on what tours and attractions would best suit our family and I think we nailed it. Her estimates were spot on and we were not caught off guard by any cost adjustments or fees. When the time to leave for our trip came close, we ran into some snags that started to wear down on us. Strikes and protests in areas we were set to travel began to cast doubt that our trip would be a success and then I was alerted by our airlines that our outgoing flight was canceled. Just days before departure! I immediately reached out to Laila and she responded rapidly at an hour I wouldn't expect anyone to be up reading emails. She was able to find out what caused our cancellation, confirm an alternate departure flight and prevent us from losing a few days on the trip we thought wouldn't be possible. During our trip, her service only grew better. She kept communications with us and was kind enough to make sure we arrived at our destinations on time. We were even welcomed by a lovely gift from Laila in our room that was honestly a highlight of our trip as it reaffirmed us that we had been well taken care of and our enjoyment was firsthand. We are a family of 4 in our mid 30's and I understand that not many people my age reach out to travel agents. I do not think I could have confidently created a trip this enjoyable and stress-free on my own while tending to my normal day-to-day. This stop has ample parking right at the corner of Rancho del Oro and Oceanside Blvd. they have a covered area to buy tickets and a porta potty if needed. They also have bike lockers. Let's all think of ways to reduce our carbon footprint and take public transportation!

I absolutely love public transportation! If you're disabled, you can take your disabled placard…read morereceipt, an award letter from SSI, or a Medi-care card (not Medi-cal), or you can pick up a form at the Oceanside Transit Center - they may even have them on their website - and have your doctor fill it out. You can get a Compass card with your picture on it, which is good until the expiration date on your disabled placard (you just need to renew more often), three years after the date shown on the disability award letter...OR for three years from the date on your doctor's letter. You can get a monthly transit pass for $18, which allows unlimited rides on any Breeze bus, the Sprinter, and any of the buses anywhere in the San Diego area. You can also use it to obtain a round trip ticket to San Diego and back to Oceanside for only $5 (which makes day trips down to Old Town super fun and cheap...wi hour traffic! Students can also get a discounted pass for a very reasonable price. I love the Rancho Del Oro station, because you can park in a big, well-lit parking lot and take the Sprinter to Escondido. It's a little out of the way too, so you're not having to deal with a lot of cross traffic. We've got a great transit system here in San Diego county, and as long as you're honest (Transit police aren't always on the Sprinter to check your pass, but they make surprise checks, and the fine is NOT worth the gamble!), it's really easy to navigate your way around the whole county for very little money. It's a great way to show your little ones the way public transport works, and who doesn't love buses and trains?!? Come on...it's a TRAIN! If you're on at the right time, you might pass another one headed the opposite direction too. Super awesome! The automated voice on the Sprinter is English, which kind of makes me giggle, but my son adores it. We're lucky to live by a line that runs from the Oceanside Transit Center to the Vista Transit Center. Both allow close proximity to tons of things to do. Another benefit to having disabled access is that you can use the little buses that come your curb and allow you to get to places you would have to walk far from a proper stop to get to. It's cheaper than Uber and definitely less than a cab. If you ride even one way daily, a disabled pass can pay for itself - you don't have to pay to load it for a month. A day pass for unlimited rides is $2.50 with a disabled card, and you can take a bus one way for less than $1. (Think it's 85 cents, if I remember correctly). The drivers on the Breeze will lower the step for those with mobility issues, and both the Breeze and Sprinter allow you to bring your bike with you, in case you want to go somewhere out of the way. It's easy to navigate the website, the Transit Center is open until 5pm weekdays to get passes or papers, and best of all...you don't have to drive! It's a cheap way to entertain a bored kiddo, get to the beach from the East side of North County, and the Transit Center is very close to downtown Oceanside...where they have a Farmer's Market and Sunset Market every week. Did I mention you don't have to drive? Weekends, the Sprinter runs every 30 minutes both East and West (the Coaster has some longer wait times, and it stops running earlier, the only down side to our transit system!). If you're looking for a safe place to park your car while you let someone else save you some gas and traffic, the Rancho Del Oro station is a great location. We love our transport system...coming from a big city where buses run 24/7 kind of spoiled me, but for a non-major metropolitan area, it's one of the best transit systems I've seen since I lived in NorCal. Take a Sprinter. Catch the Breeze. See some cool scenery, and minimize your carbon footprint. If you've got disabilities, this is one of the best transit prices you'll find. They're very disability friendly. Just don't train hop, because the fines are likely why they can afford to keep the prices so low, haha! ;) If you see me around, feel free to say hi. Upon our return home, I noticed a few ads that were offering 'deep discounted deals' for the exact same trip we took, but they were still above what we paid and didn't offer as much on-board credits as Mary was able to procure for us. The process was seamless also, as she presented us with the best options for a few different itineraries, while providing us with personal insight on each regarding the pro's and con's. We really appreciated all of the time she spent with us, and all of the patience she displayed while we were weighing our options carefully. We couldn't have gone wrong either way, but we were especially picky because it was such a special occasion. And she took the headaches of all the scheduling, etc out of the equation so we could spend our time planning the fun stuff.
