For the most part, I love this beach! It's an easy walk, my friends and family love going and my dog can always find a stretch of beach to play ball. My main and really only issue is the trash. There are plenty of trash cans but there's always so much trash and it's so disheartening. I wish there were tools we could rent to help pick it up....we tried taking bags and filing them up but took so much sand with it! Still a beautiful and easily accessible space

Hope you have your party flip-flops on and don't kid yourself they checked her temperature as we entered the area

I don't know how they did it in the middle of a pandemic. Yes the original underground DJs from the 90s got together and put on a show for everybody at the beach. Everybody was social distancing. It was fun But I kept my distance though.

Perfect place to come if you have little ones that want to play at a park but you as the adult want some ocean vibes. What I love about thins place it has a beautiful view of the ocean! Like literally the whole ocean! It's gated up so no worries of kids running out the street. Very cute but also breath taking park. Myself and my kids enjoyed ourselves. Definitely coming back.

Meet some old friends last Friday, we hadn't seen one another in a year with Covid..Being seniors we all had our shots and decided it was time...We enjoyed ourselves & this little gem of a park... I grow up in nearby Westchester in the 50's, 60's and had friends in Playa Del Rey, yet never did I go to this little park...Glad we did and we're doing it again towards the end of March, when a few other friends will have had both vaccinations & waited the extra 14 days... If you've never been here, come...Great views of the beach, directly across the street and it's not so busy during the week...Only one negative, parking, people use the PCH street parking for the beach as well, so keep that in mind... A great little find...4 out of 5 stars..

Awesome park that stretches along the marina. Perfect for a bike ride, run, walk.. or to simply sit-down and enjoy lunch.

The trailhead is technically listed on Jefferson, which confused me at first. But there's lots of parking at the Sports Park on the corner of Lincoln Blvd and Bluff Creek Dr. From there, you just walk across the street, and there's an unmarked entrance right on Lincoln. The walk itself is interesting in a way I didn't expect. You're right next to the highway, so you can see and hear cars the whole time, but it's still surprisingly calming. It feels like nature just existing alongside the city instead of trying to escape it. I didn't see a single other person while I was there. Just a lot of birds, open space, and a few benches that feel made for sitting and thinking about life in LA for a minute. Lol I've lived here my whole life and somehow never came out here before. It's definitely not some big dramatic hike, but it's peaceful, a little quirky, and dworth visiting at least once.

A good portion of the wetlands has been overtaken by junkies and criminals. A lot of it is not safe to walk at all. The section off Jefferson that has signage is safer, but people are hiking in there and destroying it. There is not much space left for the beautiful birds that nest there and other animals that make it there home. Huge condos have been built across the street on the hill and that used to be part of the wetlands. It is now gone. Soon enough there will be nothing left. It is simply not protected by anyone. If you must go, please don't hike and toss trash. Take your photos and leave. And don't give anyone money or walk by yourself. It may look safe, it is not.

He was supposed to sing until 8:30pm but he went a little bit over; however, the park employees stuck to the agreed upon time and shut the restrooms down around 7:45pm. I think porta potties were available. The issue with this park is the parking. Every year they host a big singer in the music industry for their summer concert series but they never have ample parking. I think the city needs to invest in shuttle service and rent out a big lot so people can park remotely and hop on a shuttle to the concert. They can charge a fee to park which would get more people to ride share. I did find parking at the Chase Bank for $13. I got there at 5:45pm. So hunting for parking shouldn't have been a thing. There aren't many trees there so make sure wear sunscreen and wear a sun hat. There were food trucks there for the event. I just stopped at Trader Joe's which is right next to the park. The backdrop is beautiful of the boats in the marina. I will still come but they need to address the parking issues.
