It's ok. I wish they did more activities for the people down stairs. It is always so depressing down there and the entire place smells of urine. Staff is really nice and the place is clean. Actually really clean, which doesn't explain the horrible smell that I dread when I go to visit and if a patient goes with you somewhere away from there they bring that smell with them. But seriously besides that it is a beautiful place with an actual garden area. Unlike some places called "the tennis club apartments" and they don't even have a tennis court. It is beautiful and peaceful but I feel like a memory care facility would do more to care for the residents memory. So I guess after all they are in that category of places with titles that don't jive 100% with the name. Visiting hours are all the way until 8:30 pm and everyone for the most part is nice. Except for the staff member that eats half of your ice cream and then knowingly hands it to you and when you sit down to eat that $11 jar of ice cream it's already half gone. That's probably why she hesitated and attempted to only give me one when I asked for it. She knew there was two because she recently ate half of one of them. Since Vista Gardens changed ownership at the beginning of the year, the quality of care has declined across the board. I call multiple times to speak with my dad and nobody calls me back. I sent him a Father's Day gift, he said he got the card, but not the gift. The gift was signed for by someone on their staff. Their staff looked for the gift and told me they could not find it. Their manager eventually blamed my dad's memory and said it wasn't her staff. I could not believe it. I got a bill today (7/25/2023) by e-mail with an additional $50 charge. They told me someone on their staff called about an increase in the billing. I never got a call. They said they mailed out a paper bill on July 22. Today is the 25th. The 22nd was Saturday. I haven't received it yet. The bill is due in one week, on August 1. If it's not paid in full by Aug. 5, there's a $400 penalty assessed. I'm exhausted. I can't believe this billing policy is legal; demanding payment in one week and assessing a hefty penalty 4 days after that. I've tried to resolve all of these issues and get the run-around or don't get my calls returned. I live out of town, as well. After speaking to friends with relatives in care facilities the consensus seems to be that many of these facilities appear to bank on family not being local so less able to hold them accountable. When dad first entered Vista Gardens in May 2020, it was privately owned, the owner and staff truly cared about the residents and the staff were happy to be working there. I had good communication with the staff, they were attentive to dad's care and had consistent contact with our family. I felt really good about dad's new home and felt that he was well cared for. My impression now is that it was bought out by a large company for profit, it's being run as a business for profit, and the company cares only about profit. read more

THE MOST UNSAFE place for anybody to live. Management knows nothing about leadership. Employees are relatives or friends of the manager Rachel McIntyre never took time to answer our emails. There are falls EVERY SINGLE DAY. Don't be fooled by photos as they have no activities for residents, no bus, residents are dingy and they have NO sufficient staff to care for the residents. Some caregivers work double shifts bec there are no staff which is NOT SAFE for resident. Better close this place. Rating should be negative. We took our parent out of this place it was so unsafe to leave him there. Take your relatives out of this HELP of a place!!!! read more

The time my husband was at Vista Gardens was one of the most stressful times of my life. Every time the phone would ring I would jump no matter the time of day or night.. They were constantly understaffed. One time a caregiver actually asked me if I would mind showering my husband because they were so shorthanded. I have caught caregivers there lying many times. When I said something to Evelyn her comment to me was "if I fired every caregiver that lied to me I would not have a caregiver here." I don't know about you but I find it hard to trust people that think nothing of lying to me. Before he moved in I carefully explained he had dental issues from the disease and needed to have his teeth brushed after each meal and at least rinsed after a snack. I was assured they would take care of it but when I discovered no wear on his Sonicare toothbrush head and the tube of toothpaste unused I took him to the dentist. Again a broken promise and sadly I had to have all but 5 of his teeth pulled because they were all broken and he was actually chewing on the nerves. If Vista Gardens looks so good when you are touring it could have to do with their messaging system. When they have a tour coming thru the phone used to ring downstairs and whoever answered would announce to the staff it was T time. When I asked what that meant I was told a tour was coming thru. On a Wednesday late afternoon I questioned why his feet looked so swollen even though he had his compression hose on . I asked if I should take him to the ER or Urgent Care and Victoria told me it was not necessary. She told me she would send him downstairs and have them elevate his legs. Long story short Friday morning I got a call that he fell and was being sent to the ER. Don't ask how many times he was at the ER the time he was at Vista Gardens. The ER Doctor told me he was fine from the fall but he had acute renal failure and had 10% kidney function left. I was told by the Dr. that this was made worse when Victoria called the Doctor and had him double up his Lasix. Did they not notice his diapers were dry despite the fact that he was consuming liquids? Can you imagine how disturbing I found it when I brought my husband downstairs and for at least 15 minutes there was not a caregiver in sight. The residents that needed extra supervision were there and there was at least 1 resident that would suddenly go off and strike other residents unprovoked. To make matters worse I observed an open scissor on the meds cart with no one attending the cart either. As I said it took at least 15 minutes before a caregiver appeared. I could go on and on fill pages about what I observed on a daily basis since I was there daily. If you would like pictures of the bones I found in his dinner one night (fortunately I was feeding him so I caught it) I will gladly send then. Just message me. In case you are asking the logical question why I kept him there the answer is I was waiting for a space to open at another facility which we thought was going to happen any minute. It was a facility that people did not ever move out from and we were waiting for someone to pass. Also moves are hard on dementia residents so I was trying to avoid moving him and then moving him again. Fortunately the Dr was able to reverse the renal issue but the last place I would have brought him upon his release from the hospital was Vista Gardens. read more

I toured Vista Gardens for a loved one in our family that needs to be at a place that can specialize in Memory Care. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and attentiveness from all the staff to the residents. Everyone was happy and well taken care of. I visited on a day when there was a group visiting and leading all residents in a singing/musical session. My heart was warmed to see so many smiling faces actively participating and having a wonderful time. Rooms and common areas were also very clean and well taken care of. Overall, the kindness and compassion displayed would be the main reason I would highly recommend Vista Gardens and why I would feel completely confident to have my loved one live there. read more

Vista Gardens has been a wonderful place for my grandmother. I am so impressed with the facility and the caring staff. Activities are plentiful, well planned , and organized. The staff is kind and caring, not only to residents but to visiting family as well. Grandma gets excited about her "beauty shop " visits , getting her hair done on certain days. Grandma knows the schedule! And she is familiar with the many entertainers that come, she especially likes a particular piano player. I recently toured Vista Gardens for a loved one in our family. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and time spent with us by the staff. They had so many caregivers working with smiles on their faces engaging with their residents. The walking paths and gardens are amazing! I could see that they were well staffed and the residents were well cared for. I was so impressed that they have bidet toilets for the residents to use in order to prevent urinary tract infections...what a great idea for the elderly! They also have a knowledgeable Gerontologist on staff who is always available to speak with the family members. My Mother has Alzheimer's disease. Like so many families, we struggled navigating the disease as she moved from mild cognitively imparted to ALZ. Finding the right Memory Care was a huge challenge. My Mom recently celebrated two years at Vista Gardens and I've been waiting to write a review because I couldn't believe a place like this could be so perfect. There had to be something wrong, so I waited... and waited... But, just as it was the first day I walked in, it's a wonderful place for my Mom. I searched about a dozen places for her, and they were all very similar. A separate wing of an assisted living facility. The residents were usually locked behind a door. These places have the long hallway of rooms and one recreation room at the end for dining. They can only go out with a supervised group. The smell was never great and, for sure, you felt like everyone there was in bad shape. Vista Gardens is the opposite. When we pulled into the parking lot, I noticed right away there were residents out walking and enjoying the fresh air. They had full access to the gardens, the walking paths, the parking lot, and the golf area. We walked in the lobby and there were residents sitting about doing puzzles, chatting, and looked very independent. Not behind a locked door. There was a beautiful self-playing piano, that later, I would learn would be used by a local who comes in and plays for the residents. I noticed no smell. Not even the smell of a cleaning solution. There was a calendar on the wall with endless activities and entertainment. A special Ronald Reagan Library, dining hall, movie theater, and chapel. Residents could dine when they wanted to dine (or gently asked to head in if they needed a reminder). The facility was clean, organized, well maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly! Flash forward to today and it's all the same. Even better as I've come to know the staff and the facility. They manage all of her medications, meals, and activities. They wash her clothes and clean her room. My Mom participates daily at the "breakfast club" in the Ronald Reagan Library, she attends all meal opportunities, watched the daily entertainment in the lobby (singing groups, dancing, etc.) and insists on going on the weekly bus trip out to the community. When I come visit her, she is often in the dining room or walking in the garden... sometimes watching a movie with others in the movie theater. She has always attended church, and on Sundays, Vista Gardens brings in a minister that gives a message. She loves it. My Mom couldn't be more happy. She feels respected, loved, and independent (even though she is under constant watch and care). No question this is the right place for my Mom and I highly recommend it. I would like to thank all of the staff at Vista Gardens for their constant care, love, and attention. I know my Mom is in a safe place. A++ or as my Mom would always say: "BRAVO!" read more

Through the two years of his journey, VG was able to address each stage with compassion, ultimately working in conjunction with hospice to ensure his last days were peaceful. We are so happy that our Granny is a resident here. After our family found it very difficult to care for her on our own due to her Alzheimers worsening, we tried other homes that were a major disappointment and we were so thankful we finally were able to make Vista Gardens her home. This place is not only beautiful but everyone who works here is so attentive and kind. We love all the activities available for her to enjoy. We don't live in the area so when we first visited after she moved in, the staff gave us a warm welcome, a thorough tour of the place and even gave us a private room that included refreshments so that our large size group can visit with our Granny. We were very impressed by how cheerful and friendly the staff was not only with us but with all the residents. It put our minds and hearts at ease that our Granny is well cared for. read more

Beautiful high quality facility, and has the nicest staff---it is unusual because it has many places to wander, many rooms to sit in, all safe and well-monitored, a chapel, a media room, a private dining room for families to have little parties for their relative, beautifully designed with much thought for needs of memory care patients who have very special needs; normal residences and skilled ursing cannot handle well these types of patients-it takes a special focus and this place has it. Its VERY CLEAN no smells, the rooms are regularly and frequently shampooed--the carpet being some of the most expensive around since it has been designed not to absorb spills, fluids. This facility has won several awards and Nancy Reagan herself has put her seal of approval on this facility. The owner is a Catholic doctor and the charitable care and respect for the patients is reflective of Catholic attitudes. You can put your loved one here and not worry about the aspects and problems that plague many rest homes. I have to say the Care Corner is NOT empty contrary to what one reviewer says, showing 2 photos of empty station. I am there all day when visiting and the caregivers are accessible, there is one person at least in the Care Corner usually more...the only time they are busy and out on the floor instead of in the corner is in the evening when they are doing rounds giving medications or assisting at dinner. read more

Vista Gardens has been our Mom's home for the last year and a half and we have always been so pleased with her care. So many fun activities for Mom to participate in and beautiful surroundings. Mom's sudden health issues got to a point of needing hospice care. We have always been impressed with Mom's caregivers, nurses, CNA's and all the staff at Vista Gardens. They all took care of ALL of us these last few weeks as we were by Mom's side. Staff was bringing us waters, coffee, cookies and grandkids/great grandkids got to have ice cream parties with their Grandma. We will all miss the wonderful staff and cherish our memories of how well taken care Mom was at Vista Gardens, as well as the family parties we had in the beautiful community room. read more

We got "chandeliered" - Our experience with Vista Gardens Memory Care My sister and I researched and visited several assisted-living facilities for our elderly mother, who has Alzheimer's. Vista Gardens hosted a support group meeting run by the Alzheimer's Association, and we were favorably impressed. After Mom's nasty fall requiring hip replacement surgery, we chose Vista Gardens due to its proximity to our home, its aesthetic appeal, cleanliness and features designed with the memory-impaired in mind. Yes, Vista Gardens charges more than any other assisted living facility in the area that we know of - but it was so lovely! The grounds were so nicely kept! It was decided that Mom would be placed in the "Garden Level," which (we were told) has a higher caregiver-to-resident ratio, so she would get more attention there as she recovered from her fall. The Garden Level residents are given a wristband with a call button. When a resident presses the call button, the receptionist receives the call and then passes it along to the Garden Level caregivers so they can respond to the resident. During the nine months our mother spent at Vista Gardens, she would often report to us that either no caregiver responded when the pressed her call button, or they would take a long time to respond. Because of her dementia she would not be able to tell us how long she waited, or on what days this happened. We gave the facility the benefit of the doubt. But we also started testing the button during our visits, and observing whether any caregiver responded and how long it would take. Many times we received no response either. Over the course of months, both my sister and I talked with several persons in managerial capacities at Vista Gardens. These people included one of the owners; the director at the time; the marketing director at the time; the community relations director at the time; and the more recent director. Each time we spoke with them, each of them assured us that the problem would be fixed. Despite these people's words, the problem continued, and dementia could not explain it away. We realized that the owners and managers at Vista Gardens were not concerned enough about residents' needs to make any substantive changes. We received plenty of invoices, and notices of a price increase, in the mail - but we never received what we requested: a complete re-vamping of the system whereby residents can call for help. So we decided that we would take Mom home to live with us, and gave the required one month's notice at Vista Gardens. On January 9, our family finished a laborious move to another house in Vista. That evening I went to visit Mom at Vista Gardens. The receptionist at the front desk looked at me and asked, "Didn't they call you? She fell, and was taken to the hospital." Just then my cell phone rang - it was my husband, giving me that same news. Vista Gardens had called him, saying they "did not have" my cell number (which of course I had given them when filling out the initial paperwork when Mom first moved in.) When I met Mom at the hospital, lying on a gurney in a bay of the emergency room, she was still wearing her call button. She had a bloody nose, a nasty cut on her forehead, massive bruising in the area, and X-rays had revealed a fractured vertebra in her neck. She told me that after she fell at Vista Gardens, she pressed and pressed her call button, and no one came for a long time. After a week at the hospital, Mom was discharged. Because of their ongoing call button problem, we were not inclined to send her back to Vista Gardens, so we brought her home with us. Since that time, Vista Gardens sent us an invoice for the last few of the 30 days, including an additional charge for "incontinence care" - even though she was not there on the premises. They also sent paperwork requesting our contact information, even though all our contact information was given last year when we moved Mom in. This morning I called to let them know I would be stopping by to pick up Mom's unused medications and vitamins; one of their nurses called later and told me that those pills had been destroyed according to their "protocol" (which is not written anywhere in their intake paperwork, nor was the med tech aware of it when she and I spoke earlier). Without consulting me, Vista Gardens did away with at least $50 worth of hard-to-find special vitamins I had stocked for my mother. There are many caregivers at Vista Gardens who are amazingly caring, qualified professionals, and our experience with the great majority of the employees there was very favorable. Unfortunately, our overall experience with Vista Gardens was overshadowed by unresponsive management at high levels. Our family has learned - the hard way - that actions speak louder than words, and there's more to assisted living than a well-furnished, visually impressive lobby. read more

I can only hope it works out to have my dad at this place. Vista Gardens is beautiful, spacious, gracious and the kind of place that would allow a family to breathe easy having their loved one here. Stephanie in marketing is so warm, engaging and loving with the residents and I so appreciate the time she took with me to walk me through this difficult process. I have spent the last two days with her gathering information, taking my dad through the assessment process and having her introduce me to the bright and friendly residents who all tell me that they love living there and that it's the best place to be. The spaciousness of this facility is hard to come by in memory care facilities. The beautiful outdoor gardens and patio area are unlike anything I have yet seen in the area. If you are looking for a memory care facility that truly seems to care, I suggest you come in for a visit. Take care is reflected in everything and everyone you see. read more

When our family came to the decision that it was time to find our grandmother a care facility because of her worsening Alzheimer's, I was nervous about the type of place where she would end up. Most of the nursing homes I've visited in the past all had a very distinct look, smell, and general lack of care. However, the first time I toured Vista Gardens, I couldn't believe a place like this could be possible. From the minute we walked in, our family was greeted with friendly smiles and given a tour of the beautiful grounds. It was esthetically beautiful and clean inside and out and didn't have the smell or appearance of a care facility at all. Most importantly the caregivers and staff were all very professional, caring and attentive and I could tell right away that our grandmother would be in very good hands. There's many activities they provide for the residents, a beautiful piano in the lobby she loves listening to throughout the day and I know she loves the meals that are provided by the chef. I can truly tell our grandma is happy at Vista Gardens and we're so grateful for the wonderful care they provide. read more

My dad was a resident at Vista Gardens for about a year and a half. As his health gradually declined, the care increased. It was a huge comfort that I did not need to move him when he needed more care. It was where he could stay till his time on this earth was done. The facility smells nice (very important to me), his room was kept clean, and the staff was pleasant. I had tried 2 other facilities before Vista Gardens. There was a huge difference. this place is trash i went to go look into it for my grandmother only because this was the closest place to go , i will not be back. from what i heard as i walked around there was nothing positive and as far as the mangers go i would trust anything they say. from what i see they where under staffed and didn't seem to care about the care of the elderly. now i have my grandmother at a care site in San Diego. it is a long drive but id rather have here there then this place , i did get to talk to a Jackie as well and from what i seen to what she had said is all lies . i never put bad reviews but for the concern of my grandmother and others who care looking for care go with your guts. and if it does seem right then plz just move on there are better places read more

My husband was a resident at Vista Gardens for almost three years. We made the decision to move him there because while he was suffering from dementia, he was still very physically healthy. The spaciousness both inside and outside was a key factor in our initial decision especially after visiting several other facilities. The staff; from administration, nursing, care and janitorial; was always kind, loving, respectful and accommodating of my husband's needs as well as all of his visitors. Over the course of his time there, he's needs increased tremendously. The staff diligently communicated with me regarding my husband's care and condition. When it was time to place him on hospice, they worked with me in finding the best company to accommodate him. The positive working relationship between the nursing staff & hospice was greatly appreciated as this was obviously a very emotional time for our family. Additionally, Vista Gardens coordinates with doctors who visit and care for the residents on a weekly basis so it was never necessary for me to take my husband to an appointment outside of the facility. All of his prescriptions were delivered to the facility as well. A beautician comes in weekly to take care of residents' hair care needs. These services allowed me to focus on sending time with my husband and while the staff handled the burden of managing all of the logistics that can be so cumbersome with someone who is suffering from dementia. I am immensely grateful for the care each staff member generously gave my husband in the last chapter of his life. read more

Jacquie Dupont and the staff have been wonderful in the caring for my brother. He does not fit the typical profile of many of the residents so they have gone out of their way to keep him happy and safe. They have been completely supportive of him even during difficult times and never give up in finding ways to help. One extraordinary example is finding him a dog to be his companion. The dog is truly his best friend and they go everywhere together. They did this as a surprise and one that we are forever grateful for. Thank you as always to Jacquie and her staff. read more

My step -mother has been at Vista Gardens about a month. During that time she has become more mobile than she was at home with a private caregiver; she feeds herself easily with a fork and spills less on herself than she used to. Overall her mental status and physical status has improved noticeably over the month. Her care plan was individualized to meet her needs; she is carefully watched because she has been wandering and closely observed to prevent choking at meal time. She looks clean, groomed, and calm. Given her age of nearly 101 years, I could not be happier with her care and her progress. The staff is very pleasant and supportive of residents and their families. Excellent facility! read more

Almost 20 years ago I had to find a memory care facility for my father because I was unable to provide the care he needed due to my extensive work load. He ended up living in several facilities around San Diego. his first year. By several I mean 7 different assisted living/memory care institutions.. That 1st year was exasperating having to relocat him seven times in 12 months before we found a professional memory care place that had the proper staffing and management to meet his daily needs. This experience came in handy when my father in law came to live .with of us after my mother in law passed away. He had early stages of Alzheimer's disease which eventually progress to a level where he needed the professional assistance of an assisted living/memory care institution. Because of our previous experience with my father, my wife and I did a very extensive search to find a facility that "truly" specializes in memory care. I didn't want to revisit the experience I had with my father. After several months we narrowed our choices down to 3 places and in the end decided on Vista Gardens. I can say with complete honesty that my wife and I believe we made very good decision when we placed the care of my father in law with Vista Gardens. Sadly my father in law passed away last week, but we are most gratefully for professionalism, kindness, and respect shown to my father in law by staff and management. Listed below are bullet marks of why we feel this way: 1. Professional Management - Jackie, Elsy, Stephanie, Evelyn, are on top of things. They are quick to follow up and have done an excellent job of hiring and training personnel. 2. The Care Givers "Care" A special shout out to Salome and Mara for your kindness. 3. Nursing Staff - Ray and the night nurse, who's name escapes me, were so professional and caring. . 4. Food - Nikki, the chef, is provides great meals. They have an organic garden which she utilizes, and takes on special request. 5 Support Staff - I never saw more thorough cleaning. The have a great system and everyone seems to work well together.. I actually saw Jackie, the director, lending a hand by cleaning and polishing tables after an event. 6 Receptionist - special shout out to Gabby.. We Love this place. My mom is so happy. Clean rooms. Clean everywhere. Dining room is a hit. Mom can't remember my name but she knows when to turn right to go to her table. She loves the dining room and all the food prepared by their culinary chef. I met with Chef Dee, what a doll. She tailors menus per each person's needs. That by itself means a lot . The staff is always around helping everyone. The activities are always helpful. My mom loves bingo now LOL. Their Baby Grand Piano in the lobby is a hit by many. Their management and sales teams are super super nice. Jacque DuPont is such an amazing person, always on top of everything and anything so that things are taken care of promptly. I noticed she called each resident by their names including their family members. That shows a very caring attitude. She also knows what each person likes and needs and I was so impressed to see, during one of my visits, brining a specific beverage to a resident that he gets daily. Now that's why I call top notch service in the hospitality field. What a Gem to have a person like that running this fine establishment. . I haven't had the opportunity to meet with the other owners Joe and Harry but I hear they are top notch people as well. Very caring. The sales team we had to deal with were very very very pleasant and knowledgeable. Not pushy at all like other places we visited. They offer so many things that other places don't. The Nursing staff are so professional and always going a step beyond to make my MOM feel comfortable and safe . The grounds are kept beautiful. We feel very comfortable that this facility is totally gated. I recommend this place to everyone who needs their loved one taken care of as if they are in their own home. IMHO this is the ONLY place to put a loved one who has alzheimers or dementia. Top quality furnishings and design is evidenced throughout.There was much planning that went into this place. Dad was here 2 and a half years. This is a very, very special place, privately owned by three Christian men who really do 'care'. What a difference between the nursing homes owned by big corporations! Decisions are made locally. Menus aren't created by a dietician sitting in Kentucky who designs menus for 100 nursing homes owned by Big Corporate; they are created by the local chef and the facility even has an organic garden. Individual tastes and requests are accommodated. Nothing was too much trouble when it came to my dad. They really tried to please. Like all facilities, sometimes they were short of staff, but overall they did a great job. The staff appears to have been well educated in the disease of Alzheimer's/dementia. So no matter the employee -- office staff, housekeeping, maintenance -- when interacting with a resident they understand the 'disease' and when a resident is cussing, yelling, screaming obscenities, they are unphased because they know 'it's the disease'. When my dad first arrived he was screaming and breaking plates and lamps. I don't think any other facility would even have taken him. Somehow they were able to relate to him and get him settled in. They have a wonderful Doctor "A" who comes around once a week to check on residents. So very knowledgable and caring. If your loved one needs a geriatric psychiatrist, they have Doctor Keri who visits a few times a month. He is superb, very empathetic. He safely weaned my father off a drug he felt was dangerous. You will not see residents lying isolated in their beds and ignored. Vista Gardens tries to get residents out of their room and involved, reasoning that this is good stimulation for the brain. They have a theatre room with movies and t a large activities room run by an energetic group of women with caring hearts. Frequently they bring in outside entertainment. One year they even had a luau with a full-on polynesian show and live music. Large well-landscaped grounds with many little private areas to sit. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, like an upscale hotel. Even the hallways are unusual in that they are very wide and have glorious high ceilings. There is a library and lots of pleasant lounge areas. Very high quality construction throughout; the builder is one of the owners and the quality is visible for all to see. Excellent sound insulation, very important for dad because his TV was always turned up to the max. No expense spared on the rooms.The furnishings, draperies and cabinetry are all high quality and the colors are pleasing. Does not have that 'nursing home feel'. Somebody wanted to create the ideal facility for Alzheimers and spent a small fortune. We think they succeeded. read more

Vista Gardens provided a warm, caring and safe environment for my father when he needed it. My father was living at Vista Gardens for almost a year, I wish we had known about it sooner. The level of care and attention given to each individual's needs is like none we had experienced. Dr. Jacqueline DuPont, who is the director of the community was hands on involved the entire time my father was there. Her professionalism and knowledge really assisted my husband and I in understanding the process of taking care of an elderly parent. Kelly Taylor, Resident Service Director was constantly in touch with us concerning my father's needs, and even sat with him in the ER until 1am, one night when we could not be there. My siblings and I feel blessed beyond words to have found such a wonderful, caring place as Vista Gardens for our Dad to complete his life journey. The staff at Vista Gardens provides the most excellent physical care possible for their residents, but more importantly, cares for their residents as if they were their own precious family members! In addition, the Vista Gardens' staff makes the family of every resident feel that they are also a special part of the Vista Gardens' family! Moving a loved one into a care facility is a very difficult thing to do, but the staff (and I mean ALL the staff, from the nurses, to the caregivers, to the chefs, to the cleaning ladies, to the administrators and more--ALL the staff) at Vista Gardens move mountains to make the transition as seamless and loving as is possible to achieve. Never for a minute did we worry about our Dad's physical care or emotional well-being during his days at Vista Gardens, and we always felt completely comfortable and even embraced when we visited there ourselves!
