I can't recommend Dr. Nader Sallam enough. He's an exceptional doctor who truly cares about his patients. He's knowledgeable, compassionate, and skilled. I'm so grateful for his care. I went in coughing, and he was determined to figure why I couldn't shake off my cough. Most doctors would have probably ignored all the signs and not take it as serious. If it wasn't for him, I would probably be in the hospital right now. He never gave up on me and took all the necessary measures to figure out what was wrong with me. He calls me almost every day to see how I'm doing and feeling. Who does that these days?! Dr Nader Sallam, MD took the time to understand my condition and provided targeted solutions that significantly improved my well=being. I am amazed by the personalized treatment, follow ups, and lasting results I experienced at Lindenhurst Family Practice under Dr Nader Sallam, MD!! He's become part of my family, and we absolutely adore him and appreciate him taking time out of his day to check in on me. It can be so scary, but he reassured me that he will do everything he can to help me get better. Dr Nader Sallam, MD always takes the time to listen to my concerns, explains my diagnosis clearly, and explores all treatment options with me. I highly recommend Dr Nader Sallam, MD to anyone seeking a caring and knowledgeable doctor!!" "Takes his time! Very good doctor!"

Subject: Disappointed with Recent Experience After 10+ Years as a Loyal Patient…read more Dear Dr. Stephens-Clark and Team, I've been a patient at your office for over 10 years and have always appreciated the high level of care and compassion I received. My first provider was Dr. Omar, who cared for me until her passing. I then continued my care with Kelly Vinson, they have always been wonderful--attentive, understanding, and professional. I've never felt like just a name on a chart with either of them. They truly listened and made sure that any treatment or medication was thoughtful and necessary. This level of care is the reason I've remained loyal to your practice for so long. Unfortunately, today's experience left me feeling deeply disappointed. I called to ask about a walk-in was told there were no walk-ins only appointments were available, but when I expressed that my reason for the visit was private, the tone of the conversation shifted. I was put on hold and then informed that there were no more appointments left. It felt dismissive and, frankly, like I was being penalized for not sharing personal medical details with the front desk. I've never had to explain my symptoms to a receptionist before booking an appointment, and I don't think patients should be required to do so--especially when the matter is private. I understand policies evolve, but this kind of interaction does not reflect the care and respect I've come to associate with your office. I'm concerned that the quality of service is changing, especially with Kelly going on leave, and it's disheartening. Please consider this as feedback from a long-term patient who truly values the exceptional care your providers have given over the years. I hope things can improve going forward so patients like myself continue to feel respected and heard.

I like to take this moment and mention that the new Northwestern Medical Acute Care Med Center in…read moreGurnee is the most impressive health care facility in our regional area. Their outstanding care is attributed to a number of key factors. The essence of their successful delivery of services is they utilize a process care model. From end to end the focus is on providing consistent quality care, providing simple explanations for each individual task to the patient. We had a family member who had a severe cut due to a kitchen knife. It was very clear that this was a serious cut needing medical attention. We were concerned and started calling provider acute centers until we contacted NMFMC in Gurnee next to the Holiday Inn. Our regular provider (NSHS) was too busy and there were issues with the other acute care centers. We walked in and instead of waiting we got immediate attention. I also noticed that other people coming in also did not have to wait long if they also had serious issues. Even the chairs were more comfortable than other medical facilities. Because of the severity of the cut a number of medical care tasks were performed. It took a while. While waiting I walked up to one of the medical admens and asked how everything was going. The medical admen pulled a screen identifying and mentioning to me the particular patient care task our family member was expereincing and then telling me the next medical procedure that was performed and telling me how long I would have to wait. Having a healthcare IT background I was immediately impressed. This was the first time I had encountered process oriented patient care. To top it off the Dr A and the J shared some comic relief with our family member during the beginning of the patient - doc - nurse encounter. Laughter and happyness is a great pain deterrent, calming intial concerns. , My suggestion to anyone is even if Northwestern Medical is out of your network, when you have an immediate care need, drive the extra distance, spend a little more, and experience a great healthcare outcome! Northwestern Medical just might be a uncommon healthcare provider which has successfully converged the practices of healthcare, process, patient care, and empathy, generating great family - medical outcomes. (apparently, giving out phone numbers is "not their job," and someone will need to call me back with that information... which never came, btw!!) This is a very small practice, so there is no reason why anyone cannot do these simple things. the front desk takes no responsibility for themselves, always pointing the finger at someone else. the only thing worse than the front desks incompetence is the after-hours answering service. my husband once argued with them for over a half hour about whether or not our call was necessary for my daughters alleric reaction!! she actually said "well if you gave her benedryl, then there's nothing for the doctor to do!" OH!! AND THE ICING ON THE CAKE (I'll never forget this one!!) When my son was about 1, I got a call from the office out of blue saying, "I'm calling to schedule your son's autism screening" .... WHAT?!? I've never been told my son could be autistic!!!! after I lose my mind crying to my husband, he calls the office back and come to find out..... ooops, sorry!!!.... that note was for meant for another patient!!! unbelievable!! Do yourself a favor and go to an office whose staff is as good as the doctor. it's just not worth it.
