Jamie was helpful at first upon trying to get an apartment but let me tell you after coming and filling everything out it has been nothing but a headache .... 1 let's start off with the fact Jamie DID NOT TELL ME THE DRYER AIR VENT GOES OUT TO THE BALCONY YOU PAY FOR SO BASICALLY DUST AND ALL WILL BE ALL OVER YOUR BALCONY YOU CANT EVEN USE IT OR PUT OUT DOOR FURNITURE BECAUSE IT WILL CONSTANTLY GET DIRTY AND IN OTHER WORDS CANT USE IT! So basically you're paying for only the unit not the balcony unless you don't care for air vent dust from people's dryers coming into your balcony while you're hanging out with friends and family . Next is parking they will charge YOU 10$ DAILY!!!!! For parking when they have OPEN PARKING SPACES EVERYWHERE!! Their excuse is those open spaces belong to 2 bedroom apartments but at that they aren't even being used or rented right now so why not let the people that are waiting for a parking pay for that for now or let alone not charge for guest parking when your already paying monthly rent here! It's pathetic it's like a scheme for them to constantly make money every month off you oppose to just your RENT! So instead of 25/26 for a 1 bedroom I'm laying 2900 basically after paying 10$ daily and at the end of the month it's an extra 300$ a month Sharon as well look they are both nice I get they doing they job and have a title they have to hold but man it's been a headache I don't have nothing bad to say about them Becuase I understand it's there job I'm just upset that this is like this especially in this day and age with how the world is with money and all ! I have been a responsible tenant at this apartment for three years and have always paid my rent on time. Recently, I needed to break my lease due to unforeseen circumstances and was open to reasonable solutions, such as a payment plan. However, none were offered. Crystal Chou the manager showed no empathy and made it clear that the buck stops with her because she is the regional manager of the whole southern California, so there is no one else I could speak with. Crystal Chou refused to involve anyone else who might have been able to help. The only options presented were to pay the full amount owed immediately on my departure, assume responsibly until my lease is up or until the unit is rented. last choice is to allow the account to go into collections and ruin my credit. For a long-term, reliable tenant, this lack of flexibility, consideration, and basic human decency is extremely disappointing. However, I do feel I should have some sort of penalty for breaking a17 month lease, 6 months before it ended but being charged $5770.00 early termination fee, plus a month of rent for a grand total of $7020.17 is unfair. Well just make sure you pay attention to the fine print before you sign your lease agreement. Even though it was a nice place to live but due to unwillingness to work with me when my life circumstances change, I would never return as a tenant. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY [APRIL 2025] (Management): Upon moving here, Donte Brock was an outstanding manager who went above and beyond to assist residents whenever issues arose. He has since been promoted to Regional Manager -- a well-deserved step up! Mr. Brock genuinely cared about the tenants and made sure concerns were addressed swiftly. His level of service was unmatched, and his presence is deeply missed. Update (April 2025): I've lived here for 7 years and originally left a positive review because my experience used to be great. Unfortunately, that has drastically changed. For the past two years, I've endured harassment, repeated, intentional disturbances from a downstairs tenant who is reportedly "on a certain program" allowing her behavior to remain checked: These include: Loud door slamming every 2-5 minutes for up to 45 minutes at a time -- and much more. Banging on the walls at 2:30 a.m. and other sleep disturbances Chronic marijuana and cigarette smoke infiltrating my unit (measuring 98%) despite this being smoke-free property, by a person who appears incapable of taking responsibility for such odd and abnormal extreme behaviors that most would dread ever encountering in their living environment as a hard-working professional. Retaliatory and disruptive behavior has significantly impacted my quality of life, peace, and lifestyle. And ongoing manipulation, lies, blame-shifting behaviors and attempts to stir tension among neighbors, just and all out unsavory character and unsavory behavior that shifted the entire environment (space limits me from listing everything). Peace is now fleeting.... I was told this tenant is part of a "certain program" in order to afford living here -- but that should be no excuse for ongoing harassment, lease violations, or management's failure to take meaningful action. With the program came an unsavory mindset. I've reported these issues multiple times. While management acknowledged them initially, no visible corrective action has been taken. Not everyone "on a certain program" (as I'm told) are this horrible sure, one can't generalize, but whatever the program that's now allowed, leaves one open to a game of Russian roulette putting your once enjoyable, peaceful lifestyle/environment on the line, and the previously filled hard working people, who valued not only the environment, but exhibited a sense of responsibility, decorum, and respectful civility towards others. Unfortunately, those are the people that I've watched gradually leave Vistara! Meanwhile, I continue to pay market-rate rent while being subjected to behavior that no respectful tenant should have to endure. I've always been courteous to others here, but now you have to defend your peace and enjoy or you lose it and the hands of the behaviors described, and it's incredibly disheartening to now feel continuously harassed, disturbed, by someone who throws rocks and hides her hand (sick uncivil mindset) and be ignored and devalued by management allowing this madness to continue. What a drastic shift from a beautiful life style to a thuggish, ghetto, uneducated mindset and with matching behavior, disruptive, disrespectful, trouble-making, negative attention-seeking mindset, chronic weed smoking, out of control lease policy violating antics, lack of personal responsibility equating to blame shifting that has been allowed to shifted a once peaceful environment to the above actions and mindsets. Again, and of course NOT ALL people behave badly, and you can't blame the allowance of a PROGRAM for allowing such vile behavior, horrible actions, lease violations and trouble that arrived along with a tenant to continue while the environment of the entire building drastically shifted downward, like a disease permeating and corrupting the environment, and creating chaos to hide behind. This place is wonderful! The property is always being cleaned by staff. If anything is broken or worn, they always replace it quickly. Communication from office staff is timely. The apartments are bigger than most and really well kept. The layout of the 3 bedroom is like living in your own little house. You don't feel like you're in an apartment with the updated kitchens, the thick blinds and the fact that there's a nice door to the balcony, instead of a sliding door with vertical blinds! The facilities are always clean, bbq areas, pool area, seating area and gym are cleaned daily. Dog areas are clean. No issues with the people that live here. This property is smoke/vape free, but you do get the occasional whiff of pot lol read more

All I can say is what a lovely property! I had a virtual tour and look forward to calling Vistara home.

My husband, son and I lived here for a year so this review will be based off of that year. When we moved in the staff was helpful to a certain extent and when we had an issue with the rent price that we were quoted over the phone to being told in person, eventually Dante, the current manager assisted. We read reviews about the parking and they were not lying. It was almost impossible to have anyone park when visiting because a lot of residents would park their cars in the visitor spots for any number of reasons and it did not help that cars that were broken down would just be sitting in the parking spots which more than likely caused their owners to have to park in guest spots, for instance there was a white truck that the whole year we lived there was parked in a spot adjacent to mine and never once moved, by looking at it you knew it was not drivable. The BBQ grills were rarely cleaned and even if they tried to clean them the grease would still catch fire and people always left the gas running. The pool area during summer always seemed like a Vegas pool party cause there were always tons of people and partying, which is fine if we didn't want to have kids out there. The trash areas always had tons of trash thrown everywhere and it looked and smelled horrible. On 3 different occasions right before we moved there were cops constantly at the apartments. The last straw was when there were about 10 Ontario PD officers searching for someone inside the complex, guns out and having a unit driving around telling everyone to stay inside for their own safety and then never hearing a word from management to reassure us as residents that issues like these should not arise and that its a safe complex or anything of the sort. Yes they have wonderful amenities including events to show resident appreciation and maintenance was always quick to "fix" the issue (complained 3x about my washer and it never got solved), but overall, I would not recommend to live here, as the price and the hassles are not worth it. read more

I just recently moved out (Oct. 5th, 2021) and I can easily say that I had a holistically great experience living at Vistara Apartment Homes. I would certainly recommend to anyone that can move to Vistara to 100% take the opportunity, while you have it. My roommate and I moved here last fall and we were primarily motivated to live in an affordable, safe, and centrally located area in Southern California. Vistara is beyond perfect for that! The location is prime and without contrast. Every major freeway in Southern California is approximate to Vistara (10, 15, 60, 210) and if you're making big trips, the 91, 5, and 605 are just 20mins away. In addition, Vistara is less than 10mins away from Ontario International Airport (not to mention the Toyota Arena down the street, and the Fairplex down the freeway, or Victoria Gardens and Ontario Mills, or the Top Golf being built down the street). Honestly, I think the location sells it already. I have lived all over Southern California and Vistara is the perfect place to live if you want to be 1.5hrs away from the mountains, snow, beach, Los Angeles and then 4.5hrs away from Las Vegas and Arizona. I'm confident most folks from this general area understand that this is the spot! I am only moving out--unfortunately--because my roommate is moving back to Los Angeles and it would not make sense for me to stay at Vistara and pay those prices at my age and just to be in an apartment solo. In regards to the price, it's expensive. The ideal tenants to afford Vistara would need to be a family, a stable middle class couple, or roommates that don't mind splitting the rent. Living at Vistara is worth the price--if the aforementioned conveniences do to the location are most important to you. The on-site amenities need to be greatly renovated if the rental prices continue to rise even higher in order to compete with other luxury apartments. Specifically, the gym could be much larger, the dog walk and dog wash could be larger, and the pool could be deeper (for folks 6ft and taller). As far as management--supreme! Sharon is the Assistant Manager and runs an efficient, timely, and convenient apartment complex. That is a tough job--during a pandemic! The small conveniences Sharon and her team were able to provide for my roomate and I are endless. Even when I was moving out, Sharon gave me personal insight and assistance on the next place I am moving to. Also, Sharon was more than generous to give me a full extra day to move out all of belongings. Lastly, the maintenance staff are on point and Julio was by far an incredible help and pleasure. I was greatly appreciative of his help several times over and I certainly think he is an invaluable asset to Vistara! read more

After 2 months I have a family emergency and I need to break my lease. This location is clean and very nice as far as the amenities. The office staff have been so good and easy to work with moving in and out. Had an incident here recently where our neighbor pointed a loaded gun at us and all our guests, and had it in his hand for over 15 minutes. The office offered to let us break our lease without penalty and we of course asked to stay because it was unexpected and we had intentions of staying through our lease. However a just few days later, the man returned to our door and the same day we found somewhere else to live. We asked if we could still break our lease and they said because we were changing our minds, they would need a 30 day notice and we would have to pay rent for however many days that went into the next month. Then asked us to reach out to the police to drop the felony charges for the other resident. We told them we're uncomfortable staying and are moving out at the end of the month, and they had an attitude every time we spoke to them. The guy came back to our door a 2nd and 3rd time and they didn't even care. After moving out we got a notice that we owed them almost $2000 for the next months rent because no one had moved in. They ended up dropping it after being reminded we had every right to leave an unsafe environment. It's just honestly ridiculous the way this was handled and the lack of empathy is astounding. They literally just wanted their money and a clean record. It just sucks that my happy memories of living here are ruined just by the thought of this complex. On a positive note, the maintenance guys do actually rock and the pool is really nice. read more

So far, I'm very happy with choosing to move into Vistara. My main concern was safety and if you are reading the reviews for apartments in this area, you have probably seen a lot of horror stories about apartments leaving their gates broken or open. Vistara's gates are not ajar unless someone is entering or leaving. The amenities are beautiful. The complex feels safe and is quite quiet throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the street light is positioned to shine into my bedroom all night. I have also been noticing that people often wait at gates to get in which is not very safe. There is also a man that digs in the dumpsters on a nightly basis Update: Seems to be getting worse as time passes. Double homicide. Couldn't get into my car because a guest parked into my space and they "can't do anything". Had to crawl into my car, which any aren't capable of doing and frankly shouldn't have to. They eliminated the discount for COVID despite not actually regaining full access to amenities. Unfortunately, many good people are leaving because they are over it. read more

I lived here back from 2018-2019 with my mom. Let's just say, within that year things went from great to not so great. Larry and Betty were the leasing managers at the time and they were so welcoming, friendly, and hospitable! I think if they didn't switch management in the middle of our lease, things still would've been on the rise at Vistara. It seemed like after the management switch, I was hearing complaints left and right how management was rude and nothing was getting done. Apartments- Super cute, modern, spacious apartments to live in with all the trendy upgrades. Common areas- The pool always seemed to have trash around it since the trash cans were hardly emptied. The pool house was a nice place to hang out and play some games or watch TV inside while hanging out by the pool. The gym was very nice and very well kept. My only complaint about the gym is that it wreaked of marijuana smell. I can care less if people smoke, but I know some people don't want to walk into a gym that smells like it just got hotboxed. Misc. issues- Parking is HORRIBLE!! Tenants will park in guest parking and there will be no available guest parking anywhere if you want to have people over. Sadly, they will have to park off the property and walk over. The trash areas are nasty and always having trash thrown everywhere. People are lazy and can't throw their stuff away in the actual bin. I noticed that towards the end of our move out, we dodged a bullet (figuratively). The quality of people that they were letting into this community was just going down hill. People don't pick up after their dogs. They let them poop in the hallways and don't pick it up. Multiple shady people started to move in here. There was just a shooting at this complex and I would be lying if I said I was shocked. Take a look at the other REAL reviews and choose wisely where you want to live. Update2 . I forgot to mention that a good portion of reviews on here are fake . About 10 or so we're all posted on the same exact day . All praising the same maintenance guy which made it obvious he called up some friends to use their yelp accounts or create new ones to save the tanking reviews they had . It's actually a shame because the maintenance people were always great . Update : we ended up moving about a year after this review and things kept getting worse without any sort of resolution. The parking issues continued to grow, loud parties at the pool became frequent in summer months which is understandable . But having to call security every other night at 1 am because someone is blasting music on a speaker is not understandable . Upon moving out I did a pretty thorough job of cleaning up the joint . While I knew a couple stains on the carpet meant I wouldn't get our whole deposit back. I expected to get a good amount. Nope , nickel and dime for things they were planing on replacing anyway meant that somehow we owed money. If you're planning on renting here in order to save on your deposit vs renting a house . I'd suggest borrowing money from a loved one to rent a house instead . Beautiful apartments with fantastic amenities . Gorgeous pool and great gym . Several community events to meet your neighbors at . Quiet and safe overall . Don't often hear loud parties or any commotion outside besides the occasional car alarm . Great location with quick access to the 10 freeway and local restaurants . Why subtract 2 stars ? Parking . Simply put there is no shortage of guest parking spots on the property but they are mostly used by residents . Several of them will swap their own vehicles back and forth from a single guest spot . If I had known I could keep my cars in guest parking spot without any repercussions I wouldn't have sold my second vehicle before moving here . I work 9-6 and if I wanted to have any after work guests they'd have to park at neighboring businesses and risk being towed . I pay for this great apartment and these great amenities but can't have visitors unless they Uber or I pay for a spot that may be used once a week . read more

If you're looking for a new place to move, check this one off your list because I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and have had a horrible experience throughout the past 6 months of living here. We've reported noise complains from inconsiderate neighbors across from us who smoke weed, constantly have their phone conversations on speaker, and have play their music and everything super loud but they still refuse to evict them. Management has notified us that they've issued warnings but I doubt it because the issue has just gotten worse. I'm pretty sure this is the case with all of the apartments but I'm not even exaggerating when I say that it sounds like we live on a race track here. If you enjoy having your windows open for fresh air, it's extremely challenging to do at this complex. After a long day, you want to unwind and feel a nice cool breeze throughout the house but it's just not possible because it's so close to the street. I could really go on but to top it all off, but since we've lived here, our garage (that was closed before we left town), was robbed when we got back that night. We had thousands of dollars worth merchandise stolen and there isn't a thing that Ontario police or management can or will do, never mind the fact that there aren't any cameras anywhere. Sure, the clubhouse and pool/gym are great, but it definitely DEFINITELY doesn't make up for the noise, crime, robberies, unexplained charges on your rental statement, and the lack of support or advisement from management. As soon and my husband and I find a house we like, we're never looking back--it's better to pay over $2,000 and invest in your own home, than settle for NOT living in a peaceful and decent place that you cannot call "home". read more

Thankfully my lease is finally up here! Parking is awful, even for apartment standards, most summer days and nights music is blaring from the pool area. And most of the walkways smell like weed. Left the apartment in great shape and still only got 30% of my deposit back. Even though they told me all I had to pay was basic cleaning fee... even though they should cover that. I recommend everyone to stay away and go rent somewhere in Rancho. read more

Update on my experience here. Positives: Maintenance requests have been flawless. The staff is helpful and responsive. A gentlemen Anthony on maintenance is always helping with my requests or even helping me up the stairs with groceries when he saw me struggling. They go above and beyond especially when I moved in. I have never had to wait more than 24 hours for them to fix anything and after they are finished they leave a note with the name of the handy man and what they fixed. I like knowing who was in my apartment and not having to wonder if they came to fix it yet or not. They put on "community events" often and I was so surprised how many of the residents show up, because they really are that nice and fun. Not one of those awkward here is a stale donut thanks for living here. They do a breakfast bar with Panera bagels and coffee and even a wine tasting the other night! The grounds are always well kept I have yet to see a piece of trash on the floor. The front gates are closed all day and that's a plus for me since most complexes just close them after hours. Maybe I got lucky with my neighbors, but it is quiet and I only hear when people are in the hallway since it echos other than that the walls seem thick. The gate is always functional unlike other complexes that their door is always broken. They installed a really nice obstacle course in the doggy park. And the clubhouse and pool area is spotless and clean at all times. The clubhouse has a coffee machine and a pool table. As a single female I have yet to feel unsafe coming home or in my apartment I have not seen any unwelcoming looking individuals in the community. Another big positive is the location, there is everything you could ever need down the street 3 minutes away which is super convenient. The reviews about their amenities are true, they are resort style gym and pool beautiful! As for the Amazon lockers I was really missing from this complex they are installing them soon! I lived here for almost two years now. The apartment is one of my fav place I have lived in so far. The amenities are great as well. Love the pool and the gym here. Maintenance is very responsive and professional. However, I have few issues that I would like to mention. There are guest parking that are being used by residents due to lack of assigned parking. Every time my guest come over they have to park on the street on walk to the complex. I live on the second floor, my upstair neighbors have a huge dog that should not be allowed to live on high floor. I can hear everything going on in that apartment, dog running, scratching the floor, jumping and barking all day long. even when the owners walk around. It's so annoying. Currently looking for apartments to live in towards the end of summer and i stumbled upon Vistara on my drive. The community is very well kept and very new. The leasing agent i spoke to, Dante, was super nice and answered the few questions i had. The apartment in itself was absolutely beautiful and one of the best and most spacious 1 bedroom i have seen in the area. It has an island, stainless steel appliances, walk in closet, and washer in dryer in unit which is really important to me. I was sold when i was shown a doggy wash area considering it'll be much needed for my pup. Overall, it's one of my top contenders. And Dante also gave me snacks! Lol. read more
