I have been going to my regular Dr. For several years complaining about the same thing... always extermely tired, easy weight gain . He always said it was due to the fact that I'm stressed, due to owning my own buisness and being menapausal. I didn't buy they excuse after a while. That's when I came to Protea. They knew right away what was going on with me but still did a complete blood work up, test my regular Dr. Never have done. In a day and age of severe lack of customer service this was a breath of fresh air. Sharon was the caring receptionist and appointment giver. Her wonderful inviting personality started our experience on the absolute right foot. Then there was beautiful Esther who took my husband's vitals and prepared us for the doctor. She was a total joy and such a sweet conversationalist. She made us so comfortable. Then there was Ruby, the doctor's assistant, who with her smile and winning way only heightened this positive experience. Then Dr Prutzman... I cannot express how wonderful he is. He walks into a room with confidence and yet a warmth that is extremely rare. Words elude us in our confidence in him. In fact, I made an appointment to see him myself for a second opinion and will likely transfer to him. This office does things right. And the care is top notch.

It took over an hour to be seen and I had to leave without being seen , when I tried to reschedule. They wouldn't get me back in for three weeks, after bilateral pneumonia!!, how was that follow up? For three weeks they can't get me to listen to my lungs for a five minute follow up. I think the doctors are great if you can get past the rude front office.

They knew what they were doing and most important they respected our needs. vs 2ND - FLOOR At 12am we were sound asleep and woken up by a transfer team to be moved to the 2ND -Floor. It was a nightmare. They said get up hurry up , telling us to throw everything on the bed , wheeled us up to the 2ND -Floor. No regard for patient sleeping and demanding we move now. We arrive to our new room only to have nurses and techs great us with a whirl wing of questions and protocols and procedures and we were barely awake. They made us feel like cattle/not sheep. It was unbelievable. 12am in the morning? Couldn't they waited till a reasonable time ?

I was pleased with the overall results but in removing the Basal Cell on my forehead, Dr Tournas pressed exceedingly hard and literally left a large, noticeable dent in my forehead reminiscent of a Frankenstein scar. I will not return for any further treatment if needed to this Surgeon. I feel it was unnecessary to push so hard as to create a dent as it was the smallest spot.

After a hospital stay, I began my physical therapy and treatment with Dr. Weathersby. He was incredibly gentle and kind. Since then I have married, had a baby, and Dr. Weathersby has treated me through it all. In fact he now adjusts my husband and our daughter. My husband had chronic headaches. After receiving an evaluation and x-rays Dr. Weathersby concluded that my husband had suffered some damage during childhood to his spine. With regular treatment my husband's condition was healed. Shortly after my daughter was born Dr. Weathersby adjusted my daughter. She is now almost two and half and still goes in from time to time with me on appointments. It is great! My mother-in-law was visiting us and we took her in to have her wrists looked at. She sews and had chronic pain. Dr. Weathersby was able to adjust her hands and give her some relief. I cannot recommend Dr. Ed highly enough. Not only is he a great doctor, he is also a great person who cares about his clients. Dr. Weathersby is adding a Naturopath to his practice in Feb '10. I'm excited about that!
