I'm very disappointed in how this dental office handled my billing and insurance estimate. Before a…read morerecent procedure, I requested an estimate of my out-of-pocket cost and was told in writing it would be $275, which I paid in full at the time of my visit. Two months later, I received a surprise bill for an additional $598 -- more than three times the original estimate. When I asked for clarification, the office explained that they are out-of-network with my insurance provider. At no point in the written estimate or treatment plan was this mentioned, nor was I warned that this could result in significantly higher costs. When I raised these concerns, they claimed they had verbally disclosed their out-of-network status during a consultation over a year ago. I do not recall such a conversation, and regardless, this critical information was completely absent from the written estimate I received at the time of scheduling the procedure. Despite my efforts to resolve the matter respectfully -- even offering a partial goodwill payment -- the office and owner ultimately stood by the charge and stopped responding to my emails after a single reply. I believe patients deserve clear and transparent financial information, especially when given a written estimate. Omitting important details like network status and potential insurance penalties is, in my view, both unprofessional and unfair. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this office after such a costly and frustrating experience.

My latest visits that included oral surgery, root canal and a crown were performed by Dr. Yasmin Akhlaghi, who is apparently new to the center, as her name is not yet included in the team on the Center's website. While relatively young, she impressed me with her knowledge, proficiency and exceptional hand skills. I had a dentist when I live in Wheaton that was less than a mile away, and she was good, and it's a hassle finding a new dentist. I moved to Russett in 2020, and I kept going all the way back to Wheaton for my dentist through 2023. My girlfriend recommended her dentist Colesville Dentistry, and she was right! I first arrived here in May 2024, then November 2024, & most recently May 2025. Wow, this dentist is top notch, blows the Wheaton dentist I had out of the water. The staff is friendly, efficiently gets you in. Dr. Chai, other dentists, & technicians have been friendly doing a great job with the cleanings as well as advise on better dental habits. Also, this is a state of the art dental office. When you are lying on the dental chair, there is a TV screen above you with high definition nature scenes which is peaceful when the dentist isn't exactly the most pleasant experience even with Colesville Dentistry being the best case scenario goes as far as the dentist goes. They have great technology with computer modeling of my teeth & more, which the prior dentist I had fell short. Although it's still not super close to my home, still easier than going to Wheaton and worth the drive. Overall, I highly recommend Colesville Dentistry.
