Vito's Midtown Pizza is a great takeout-only spot that delivers exactly what you want from a classic pizza place. No indoor seating, just no-frills pizza done right. The slices are large, New York-style, and come out piping hot (literally steaming when we opened the box). We ordered both the Hawaiian and their version of the Supreme, and both were really satisfying. Good balance of toppings, solid crust, and plenty of flavor without feeling overdone. Pricing felt very reasonable for the portion sizes, especially considering how filling the slices are. It's the kind of place you go when you want reliable, hot pizza without overthinking it. We'd absolutely order from here again next time we're in Wilmington. read more

Arguably the best pizza in wilmington. The white pizza is so good. We ordered a large pizza and cinnamon sugar desert pizza. Order time was estimated for 20 minutes. Done in 19 ‍. Other than our terrible experience with door dash and our pizza having to be microwaved when we finally got it, it was amazing! I wish I would have had it straight out of the oven because I'm sure it would have been even better. I don't think the staff noticed that the pizza was there for over 45 minutes late for door dash to pick up but they did not make extra measures making it better even when I had to the store to pick it up. Checked out this new pizza place that opened on college road next to Enterprise. They currently don't have any indoor or outdoor table service seating but may in the future. They do have some bar stools inside and one mini table if you do want to eat there. Currently it is to-go anyway because of the coronavirus crisis. The hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the moment but that may change after the restaurant restrictions. Their menu includes Pizza and salad. Currently they do not have dessert but may have some in the future. They didn't have salads available during my visit. One Pizza on their menu that sounded interesting was the Pierogi, which is mashed potato instead of tomato sauce, and is topped with sauteed onions. Decided to try a medium sized cheese pizza ($12.50). I was the first customer of the day. Some of the pizza crust edges were burnt and the staff member actually offered to remake the pizza. The burnt edges were really not that bad so decided to keep the original. The pizza is thin crust style. The outer crust was crispy but not so much the rest. The dough flavor was okay. There was plenty of cheese but I wished there was a little more of tomato sauce on the pizza. Overall, thought it was a good solid thin crust style cheese pizza. read more

Vito's earned our business last night!! We have alternated between Vito's and another NY style pizza place. The other place was too busy to take our order last night, so we decided on Vito's. My son went to pick up our pizzas and as he was walking through the door, Vito's called to make sure we received the correct pizzas. Unfortunately, one was not correct. Without hesitation, they apologized profusely and asked for address. Within 15 minutes we were hand delivered another steaming hot pizza. Way to go Vito's!!! (This review was personally written I never spoke to any staff) I moved down from NYC/NJ a little over a year ago and have been searching for the closest flavor and pie to meet my expectations which are extremely high. I like to try plain pies to base my experience as it's the test... and my gosh I'm SO upset I didn't find this place SOONER! IT IS SO GOOD! It's bursting with flavor the sauce has zest, the cheese is perfect and the crust is good enough that even if you pick it up late (as I did) it was DELICIOUS. I can't imagine had it been hot but that's on me plus I love cold pizza if it's good so it was oddly the best test. I HAPPILY give this 5 stars because I'm a NIGHTMARE and probably the pickiest human ever esp with pizza. Also ordering online and pickup was so easy via drive thru. We have been going to Vito's for the past few years the Mid town location is very convenient to us. We love the drive thru pick up. We love that they expanded their menu to include take and bake items, pasta and wings. What prompted me to leave this review is that I've noticed the service and food quality is going up and getting better which isn't usually the case in the food industry. Our Vito's seems to be getting better and better. Try the Pierogi pizza I think it's their signature Pie. We love it and anyone we have turned on to it has never been disappointed. We have family that comes from out of town and request that pizza specifically every time! Our 5 yo Old son loves it as well! They definitely are doing things right at this local business. read more

Terrible experience making a first attempt to order pizza from this restaurant. I went online, provided my credit card information, telephone number, and then submitted text code I was sent. Then I was told they needed more contact information from me, without explaining what they were needed. After numerous attempts I called the restaurant. There they told me they didn't know anything about the order and I should contact the company I ordered through (such as DoorDash). But I had ordered from their website and wanted reassurance that my credit card information was not going to be used and was safe. Person on phone seemed confused and said he would check. We are from NY and worked and lived on Long Island and Manhattan, Bronx and Brooklyn and this pizza is one of the closest NY slice. So the reviews where people say this isn't a NY slice probably live upstate or just don't know good NY pizza. The other complaints were the slice is to thin... that's what a NY slice is so maybe you need to find a domino's that might be your jam. My fiancé is from NY and does not think they should be able to call this pizza NY style. The crust is normal thickness, but the pizza itself has very little too it, paper thin. It's like paying full price for half the ingredients. He said it might've had decent flavor but there was so little to it that it was barely enjoyable. He ordered a medium cheese pizza and to give them the benefit of the doubt he says maybe their large would be better, but he has no interest in trying them again based on how little there was to the medium. He was very disappointed. It's too bad because the location is convenient, the service was decent, and the pizza was ready when I went to pick it up for him. This pizza is just not great. The crust and marinara lack much flavor. The staff is awesome and very friendly. Have never really cared for the Vito's at WB (tourist trap) but decided to try this one out since all of our other favorite spots were closed. As I said before the staff was super friendly and welcoming, just was not impressed with the food. We got a Hawaiian pizza and Caprese Salad. The salad is pretty standard and was good. The pizza just did not have the flavor needed. It was very soggy and cold. Not sure if it was not enough marinara or if their marinara recipe lacks Italian seasoning but it just was not there. I doubt I will be back but would definitely consider it due to the friendliness of the staff. read more
