Came here from the recommendation of a friend, but ultimately wasn't too impressed with Viva Jalisco. The food is average, not too expensive, but falls a bit flat on flavor. The provided salsa and chips don't have much flavor, and the salsa verde doesn't have much flavor either. I think they marinate the pastor? I'm not too sure but it's prepared differently than I'm used to, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor profile. Though, 2 tacos was enough to fill me, so I'm pleased with the portion size per taco. Be sure to use your spanish if you know it! The servers can speak some english, but are most comfortable with spanish. Service was alright - I felt that our server wasn't the most attentive. There were several people in our party that could've used water refills throughout the meal. If we needed something, it took a minute to flag down the server. Plenty of parking in the lot! read more

Wanted to grab some nachos real quick and recalled there being a Mexican restaurant in the plaza. It wasn't busy, there were one or two tables occupied. I ordered the nachos supreme, which is listed under appetizers, but I got them without meat. The lady suggested I substitute the meat for mushrooms and I agreed. It took about 10 minutes for my nachos to come out and then I headed home. I was slightly disappointed with the size, I thought it would've been slightly bigger but the taste was there. Beans, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes with dollops of sour cream and guacamole. It also came with salsa on the side, a red salsa and green salsa. WHooly shit. Despite my fondness for northern mexican tortas (served with cold lettuce, tomatoes, chiuhahua cheese, avacado, hot meat and beans) this restaurant makes its tortas a bit differently. Fresh bread (they often get it from the bakery on the corner) jalepenos, beans, cheese, meat, grilled tomatos, fresh onions, yum! this is more of a hot torta than its counterpart of cold lettuce/tomato torta. They've changed it up alot. And the menu has greatly changed. This place has always been my favorite for the torta, anything else on the menu I really haven't cared for. I went twice the first time someone walked in after me and they were seated first as well as acknowledged before me even tho I stood right in front of the counter and spoke. Today was was not greeted and once again I was not acknowledged. So, fajitas are generally not be something you would think to have delivered. However, our chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas were delicious! They were even packaged in this really nice silver container that kept everything warm. The hot sauces they included were also very delicious! I highly recommend! read more

We got a flyer on our door along with a Chinese restaurant take out menu (Cheng Cheng on Ashford Dunwoody Rd.) and we decided to give it a try, and I have to say we are so disappointed with the food, which by the way is not Mexican Authentic, the flavor is so plain and honestly I can find better fajitas for less. I had lunch at Si Señor yesterday, and found the food (1 Hard Taco, 1 enchilada, beans, rice, and small lettuce salad) to be very delicious and nutritious. The service was very good and the food was served on a very hot plate (Yes!). I ordered only water to drink, and the bill was under $6.00. A very reasonable price for such a good lunch. The surroundings were very clean, pleasant, and quiet. I was told that on Saturdays and Sundays they serve Menudo... a dish I often crave. I will definitely come back here again and again. read more

I love eating at taqurias, because it's supposed to taste fresh and delicious. Most Tex Mex places simply cannot compare to the lovely taste of authentic Taquerias. Si Senor is as fresh as it gets. Their kitchen is open, so you can see they cook their food the right way! The portions are great and the prices are even better! They serve the standars as well as tripe and a selection of delicious and hearty seafood soups! Their Horchata and other drinks are a delicious complement to their food. Si Senor recently expanded into the neighboring store for even more sit down seating. The renovation is lovely, and it's so comfortable eating there! Went in there to get a drink .A quick in and out,(Place wasn't busy) ,three servers .And none of them were ready to attend me ,One of servers HAD to ask the other two to attend me . After a few seconds of confusion ,I asked for a drink to GO .And the server was about to give me a red (Dine in) plastic cup had to correct her, for a Togo cup. She serves me my drink and uses an old rag to wipe down the overflow .At the time I didn't care because I was thirsty. Have you ever decided to buy the absolute cheapest option for steak? Thinking i can cover up its flaws with sauce. Do you buy your tortillas from Publix? Then this place is for you! My steak burrito (the house special!) was as grizzly a steak can be. Not to mention the lack of flavor it was inedible due to the chewiness of the steak. Sauces were bland, as was the just bought from the store cheese and over cooked rice. No sense of originality or flavor. My uncle has more Mexican flavor in his toes. I always get the lengua tacos (beef tongue). It's always tender, plus it's lean meat. We grew up on it in Ohio where I was raised. Their green sauce is absolutely delicious, and doesn't burn my mouth, which is something I fear when eating ethnic foods. If you're going for decor, you'll miss what's best about this place - the delicious food, so overlook the cheesy look of the place. Me and my fiancée live within walking distance and wanted to try the restaurants near us. So the weekend before last, we decided to try this place and were pleasantly surprised and thrilled at the food. The chips were hot and crisp and the salsa they provide was just the right amount of hot. I don't like spicy food too much because my nose runs (t.m.i., I know, lol) So the salsa was on point. I got the chicken quesadilla and my fiancée got the nachos supremos. OMG. Both amazing and so fresh tasting. I will admit that the music from the speakers did get loud and then you had the t.v. going on as well but I just laughed and it honestly reminded me of being with family. You know how family gets, playing some type of game, some drinking, some eating, music playing, people talking. So to the atmosphere was a little loud but ok overall. Just ordered to go here and the hostess was extremely rude. First, she did not greet me when I walked through the door, but instead continued a conversation with a coworker. Then I asked her for a drink and if it could be mixed, she shrugged her shoulders and said "I guess." When she fixed the drink, I took a sip and said it was too sweet and if I could have a Sprite instead. She wanted to argue with me about it and then snatched the drink out of my hand and shook her head while walking away. my dad and i found this place by accident driving by. this little place makes the best authentic style tacos around. They serve tacos with the holy trinity of tacos: cilantro, white onion, and lime. there is no messing around with their authentic barbacoa.
