I found pizza that I absolutely love! The ingredients were fresh and the pizza ( half cup pepperoni and half margarita was really good. We also tried the Hawaiian which was also delicious. They have pizza by the slice and you could also order whole pizzas. They also serve beer and wine. The staff is awesome especially the guy at the front. He was delightful. We actually went back the next day because my husband had to try the Montreal smoked meat pizza. He liked it! We might go back one more time before we head home to Washington state. read more

It was a cold and rainy night when my friend suggested take out from Ignite Pizza. This was my first time trying this place and wow! We both ordered a small pizza. I had the Hawaiian and it was amazing, especially with the side of truffle aioli. I normally order Hawaiian to taste the difference between places, and this is one of the best I've ever tasted. I liked the prosciutto pizza a bit better than the pepperoni as we all found that one a bit too salty however both are still delicious. Came in here with my partner and just shared two pizza slices and I got a pepsi for myself. We got a mushroom slice and a sundried tomato chicken slice. The server warmed them up for us while we sat ourselves. They were both really good. I preferred the mushroom a lot more as it was more flavourful. Only con is the crust is way too big on both. At the end, it felt like I was just eating plain bread. Inside felt very casual and cozy on a late night. They also have a huge projection on the very back wall. read more

My girlfriend introduced Ignite to me about 4 years ago. We tried it at the downtown location, and I fell in love with it ever since. As we were debating if we should have Straight Outta Brooklyn Pizza, I realized they had an Ignite Pizza nearby in Mount Pleasant; it was absolutely right to come here instead!   The place was quite quiet when we entered at 4 pm ; we were pretty much the only people inside. My girlfriend said the interior was very quiet and clean; the space was open, and the glass windows made it relaxing with the sun shining right through. We were overwhelmed with the choices of pizzas they have; there are so many vegan options filled with appetizing ingredients on top, especially the cheese ones. They had a lot of cheese on each slice, which finally led my girlfriend to choose it. The combination of veggies and cheese matched very well; each bite was filled with complicated flavors. I chose the meat lover to diversify the tastes a little, and it did taste amazing. They used real slices of bacon, ham, and pepperoni instead of processed ones. The meat's flavor, along with its textures, allows you to easily taste which meat you're chewing with every bite.  I learned awhile ago that a great pizza never depends on its toppings, but rather on the dough and how they cook the crust. Ignite is one of those places where they could make their dough puffy and airy yet thin at the same time. We love that they do it like that since most thin pizzas are just thin and cripsy; this one's texture really stood out on its own.  Now that we know there's an Ignite on Main, we will definitely come by more often! read more

Among the best vegan pizzas I've had locally. This place is a couple blocks from where I live, and I noticed they now have 4 vegan pizzas on the menu, available in Medium ($19-20) and XL ($25-27) sizes. So my wife and I ordered an XL of the vegan forage ($25) pizza online, which was ready for pick-up 20 minutes later. The pizza comes with mixed mushrooms, caramelized onion, vegan mozzarella, and a generous sprinkling of arugula. What they use for the vegan mozzarella was sublime -- this was one of the best uses and best quality vegan cheeses I've had on a pizza, so mad props for that. The mushrooms were great -- lots of less ordinary mushrooms on here, which have great consistencies. The pizza is enormous, so what initially seemed like an expensive pizza was actually a good deal, especially we could finish half the pizza and thus both had lunch the next day. Awesome! Love this place ! Came across it completely by chance while taking a walk down Main Street. It's big and bright and airy and just drew us in. The pizza all looked amazing ! It was wood fire grilled and there was a huge variety. Lots of veggie options, and the crust ( my favourite ) looked perfect. I can honestly say, it tasted even better then it looked ! So yummy! They also have gender neutral washrooms. The entire place was extremely clean. Service excellent. If I lived closer, it certainly would be my go to pizza place. read more

Excellent neapolitan style, gluten free pizza. It's almost "I can't believe it's not gluten" level. They can't guarantee no cross contamination as they don't have a dedicated oven, but we have tried this location as well as the Mainland location without being "glutened" - with celiac sensitivity. Delightful flavours on offer, not too oily, just the right amount of chew to the crust. Plus they deliver! Will report back if we start getting glutened, but for now - an exuberant 5 stars! read more

Ordered some pizzas to go using the online order tool. They were ready and fresh when I showed up at the promised time and the person working the register was nice. I had slices of the Wild Forage and Fresh Ricotta pizzas. Both pizzas were excellent - the crust was just perfect, with a little bit of char but a very soft inside - and I really liked the composition of both. On the Wild Forage, the vegan mozzarella was very mozzarella-like - I almost definitely wouldn't have noticed it was vegan. I found that the vegan ricotta (which we added to this pizza; it doesn't come with by default) wasn't actually very ricotta-like as it was totally missing the texture, it really just tasted like dollops of thick herby cream, but I really enjoyed it for what it was and it definitely added some unique character. On the Ricotta pizza, the kalamata olives really stood out to me as being high quality and I liked the briny flavour they brought. I'll also note that both pizzas but especially the vegan one were decidedly un-greasy which I very much appreciated and for that reason combined with the good quality I would recommend them for vegan pizza over the more famous Pizzeria Grano nearby, which in my opinion kind of ruins otherwise excellent pizzas by drenching them in olive oil. The medium pizzas were $21-22 each (including the extra charge for adding ricotta to the Wild Forage). There were 4 of us, we ordered 3 medium pizzas, and had a few slices left over at the end, so I'd say the value is pretty decent. read more

The mushroom (e.g., enoki and oyster) texture was nice though the flavour was very subtle. The crust was just okay; not crispy, oily, doughy or overly chewy. Overall, this pizza was lacking. Perhaps the mushroom flavour would be more pronounced if there were more toppings. Not a very tasty or satisfying pizza for $28 (before GST). After eating one slice each as is, we had to add our own gourmet baby greens and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar over it to punch up the flavour. Well, at least we gave this place a try. read more

Nice little joint for an pretty authentic and fresh slice. There are a variety of toppings, some traditional and some creative combos as well. The crust is thin and crispy, but could be a bit more chewy, and a bit more salt. If buying individual slices make sure they reheat long enough, otherwise you may encounter a soggy edge. As accompaniments they have two infused olive oils, one with rosemary and one with red chillies. I prefer the red chilli one, along with some dry red pepper flakes. I was in Mt Pleasant & used a Happy Hour app, so I ended up trying this place. It's on Main St just off E Broadway. I was with my bf & we wanted a quick bite before heading out to a movie on a rainy Monday. This space lifted my spirits! Bright n white, minimal design, easy to read pizza menu. The special was 2 slices + beer (or wine) for $9. Count me in! I had the pepperoni, topped with fior de latte, mozzarella on a thin stone fired crust. I was a bit nervous at first, as the place was empty when we arrived. We ordered 3 slices as they're having a January promo (3 slices for the price of 2) which you can't beat for the value. We had the sopressato, the chicken pesto and a third one which I can't remember the name of. I usually prefer thicker crust pizza, but these were pretty tasty. They reheat it when you order it and the crust was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every slice had nice charring on the bottom. The server cut them up in half for us as we were sharing. I also enjoyed trying the 4 different oils they provide on the tables. All were very good and fun to add to the pizza. It feels like you're eating in one of those new hipster cafes with the large open windows and spacious seating. Definitely not your typical hole in the wall pizza joints. Came here yesterday with a group of around 7 or so people as a part of a food crawl. The restaurant was empty at around 12pm on a Saturday, which was good for us. (Since we were pretty loud haha ...) We got 2 pizzas - the pesto chicken and the spicy roast beef. In general I hate jalapeños and I'm not a huge fan of beef so I didn't try that pizza, but several people said they loved it. The pesto chicken though - it had a perfect thin but too thin crust where you can barely pick it up, and generous toppings of chicken and cheese. They also had some interesting infused oils and hot sauce options (the pineapple hot sauce was very spicy for me). Worth it for the $20 or so, and meant to be shared. However 1 star off since it still is a little pricey, and it wouldn't be a go-to kind of pizza place for me. But still, definitely a great place to go for some quality pizza with friends. read more

The WORST pizza we have had in a long time. The dough was very plain and underseasoned the sauce was boring and the mushrooms were thick and partly raw and old tasting. They also didn't even have Kalamata olives. We literally threw the whole pizza (minus the 2 slices we ate) in the garbage. My new favorite pizza delivery in the Mount Pleasant area. The crust is excellent - thin, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The last time we ordered we opted for the Smyrna, which featured artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, and sun-dried tomatoes, and the Marinated Mushrooms, with mushrooms, ricotta, and truffle oil. I'd highly recommend either. On a Friday night at 7pm I was quoted 45mins to an hour for delivery, but it arrived in 35! Score. At $22 for an Extra Large (which we have discovered feeds 3 hungry ladies with 3 slices each!) it's a good deal too!. read more

This used to be my favourite pizza place but sadly they are missing the mark. I ordered 5 pizzas and was really disappointed. The pesto chicken pizza was really dry and tasteless. The Parma prosciutto pizza was disappointing as the prosciutto didn't look appetizing as it looked like it came from a Costco package and very little arugula. The Giuseppe's choice was super salty. The cheese somehow does not seem flavourful in any of their pizzas, maybe there just isn't enough on the pizza for the flavour to come through. The crust also isn't the way it use to be as it just seems hard and not soft and chewy. This is the second time I've tried their pizza in the last few months and it just seems to not be as good as it use to be. It's too bad because they use to make really delicious pizza. read more
