The place has very interesting decorations. There's lots of pictures of their logos on the walls and some pictures of the different drinks they offer. They're funny to look at. I ordered a Thai iced tea with bubbles. The iced tea itself tasted good. However, the bubbles were poorly done. They were really hard. One nice thing is that if you check in on Facebook they give you a dollar off. Service was good since they actually ask you about that so they make sure everyone who can do it has the opportunity to save money. Parking should be ok, it can get crowded though, the strip mall parking lot isn't very big. read more

I love this place!!! If you know me, you know I'm a diehard Vivi's stan. The tea is great and affordable, it's such a cute place to chill and the employees are so nice. I'm not a huge milk tea gal, so I can only speak on their fruit teas. However, their fruit tea series is amazing (especially the kumquat lemon). There's chia seeds, lychee and some actual fruit pieces added (apples, oranges, you name it!). I haven't really seen this at any other boba joints in Columbus so it's definitely refreshing. I also really enjoyed the Blue Galaxy. The interior is so cute and aesthetically pleasing (a plus in my book). Having lived on the "left coast" for years where bubble tea establishments are as common as Starbucks we were delighted to find a few such places in Columbus and decided to try Vivi. Ambiance First of all, they have a parking lot. Huge plus. The interior is incredibly cute (see photos). Lots of pinks and cute decorations throughout. They advertise free WiFi, but the password didn't work. Since we didn't stay long we didn't ask staff (and the staff seemed a little... clueless? See below). Service The staff were friendly, but they both seemed a little clueless about the menu and honestly seemed to have some communication difficulties/English problems. They seemed to genuinely be trying, though. Food There are so many drinks to choose from (see menu photos). You can customize your ice and sugar levels too (in percentages all the way down to zero percent sugar) which is classic for bubble tea places. For 50 cents extra you can add "bubbles"/boba which are tapioca pearls or pudding which is a lightly flavored egg pudding with a consistency sort of like soft jello. We tried the almond milk tea with zero sugar and pudding. Very good. The tea flavor really comes through, and the pudding added a pleasant sweetness. The pudding adds some sugar, but even with zero sugar in the tea it tasted very good. We also had a honeydew tea with boba/"bubbles" and 30% sugar. The staff seemed to be explaining that there is sugar in the melon syrup, so it's not exactly 30% sugar, but it was hard to understand. This drink also had a great flavor with the melon flavor overwhelming the tea a bit. The boba were perfectly chewy and not mushy at all. Vivi is a very cute and chill place to hang out with friends and they also have a variety of games (scrabble, connect 4, etc.) I got the mango green tea with jelly and although I asked for 30% sugar, I feel like they didn't lessen the sugar at all so it was a very sweet drink for me. Other than that, Vivi has improved in a lot of areas since its opening and I'll be back to try their other drinks. read more

Decent... I actually do like their milk teas and I really like it when bubble tea shops let you customize the ice and sugar levels for your drinks. However, I'm very picky on the "bubbles/tapioca/boba" since it's the standard ingredient to consider something bubble tea and I think it's too soft here. My friend had been raving about this place for a while and I went with her when I finally had the chance. I was pleasantly surprised, the decor is very cute. I love the one piece theme, any fan is sure to smile seeing the cute cutout of Brook. The boba here is great too, so far I've had the Thai tea with tapioca pearls; my go to. It was great, my only problem was there were too many pearls for my personal taste but it's a non issue because you can customize how much sugar and pearls you want. Super cute interior with its own parking lot. Went right before closing on a Sunday night and they were quite nice to us still. It was clean and very pink. They have a pretty extensive menu of drinks (no food) ranging from your typical milk bubble tea to strawberry cloud and galaxy (don't know what it is but looks pretty). I went for the strawberry cloud and it was not a good choice. I didn't even add bubbles because I thought it came with bubbles. It didn't. :( it was way too icy and way too artificial and way too sweet. I usually love my drinks sweet and never ask for less sugar so this must've been diabetes inducing. My friend got the jasmine jade lemon tea with bubbles. The bubbles were good but he asked for less sugar and it was quite sour. Next time we'll go with the basic milk tea and see how that fares. Y'all know enough about bubble teas, let's talk comparisons now. If we had to rank Cbus bubble teas thus far, ViVi would probably be a close second to KFT and ChaTime would be the last choice. Vivi is cute and boasts interesting drink choices to set it apart from other bubble tea shops such as the color changing blue galaxy (that apparently tastes like lychee Lemon) or milk tea drinks like "tiramisu" (which a friend noted tasted like an underwhelming coffee beverage) ... so while the unique concept is there, the drinks probably don't deliver as much as KFT drinks do. I've noticed milk teas here taste a little more watered down and less creamy. The tea flavor comes through a bit more but I love a good creamy froth to my milk tea drinks so thats primarily why I say KFT beats it out in taste. When KFT CBUS finally rolls out the loyalty phone app program (cmon, we've all been begging for months...), I can't imagine venturing back here or ChaTime unless I'm in the area. Its north campus location makes it a much easier option for OSU students than KFT. Still... KFT drinks reign supreme. Come take cute pics here though! The shop definitely wins in the cuteness factor :) read more

Went to the grand opening today and was surprised at how cute it was on the inside. Heard a lot of Vivi because it's all over New York and was excited to see one open up in Columbus. I ordered the oolong milk tea and a Thai tea at first and got the 2 free bubble teas. Everything tasted great! I came back in to order for my parents, which was a coconut and a taro milk tea. The only bummer part was that their drinks didn't have any bubbles in them, but that's not really a big deal since the other free drinks I got has the toppings. I went on grand opening day, later in the night around 7/8pm. I ordered a taro bubble tea and got a free black milk tea (as part of their promotion). There weren't many people in front of me, but for some reason, the wait took about 30mins to make the drinks. This wouldn't fly in a thriving city with many bubble tea places... but I give them the benefit of the doubt since it was their first day, and they were probably just figuring things out. Seems like they need to figure out a better and efficient system, because they also got multiple orders wrong with only a few people waiting (like 2 people were in front of me). Drinks weren't anything special (just okay for ohio feeling) and definitely, just powder based. Bubbles were just straight too soft and mushy. Compared to other Vivi's I've been to in bigger cities, this one was pretty disappointing. read more

All four of the teas that I tried were amazing. The strawberry one and chocoberry one were my favorites, and I'm very likely to get them again next time I'm in Cbus. The fruit teas are very strongly flavored and aromatic, while the milk teas are more mellow. Some of the specialty drinks have additional novelties, for example the Chocoberry Cookie had oreo crumbles in it which gave another fun texture. Some others have cream, tapioca, jelly or pudding as well. Prices are reasonable, and although the space is on the small end, there are plenty of tables with outlets inside which you could work at. There are many different teas to try from, and you can customize them some based on how much ice, sugar and extra toppings you want. If you ever plan on stopping by I recommend bringing some friends and getting a few different selections to share, as there's really a lot of good options to explore. Both the jelly and boba have a nice texture to them, so definitely give them a try if you've never had bubble tea before. read more

Bubble tea for the win!!! I just love a refreshing bubble tea whether I'm starting the day or ending it, you can never go wrong with an ice cold tea. I decided to stop at Vivi for this beautiful and famous blue Galaxy drink I have been seeing. I'm a sucker for anything colorful and cool looking. I walked in and was greeted by the super friendly staff. They explained some of their specials and promptly took my order. I got the blue Galaxy. I was nervous about the sugar because they have many options for how much or how little. I got it regular since I was trying it for the first time and that ended up being ok. I reccomend getting less ice though. This tea took a minute to make and they have a very special instruction sheet on how to mix it before you drink. I loved that step one was "take a picture". This drink is absolutely gorgeous and does look like the galaxy. The next steps involve shaking and watching for the color change. Once its mixed the colors wont be layered. Overall this drink was very pretty and extremely tasty. They have a large menu and tons of flavors. One that stood out was the tiramisu, I need to go back and try that. My friends and husband really love bubble tea and when this place opened up it looked so cute and fun that even I was ready to try it! I'm glad I did! Amazing bubble tea! My favorite is taro. I loved this place when I visited a shop in NYC years back. So I was excited when they came here to Columbus! I love the galaxy one! It's so good! I love the lychee flavor and the colors! Customer service is not good. Ridiculous... I ordered off of Uber Eats and since there is no way to adjust sugar on Uber Eats' order form, I ordered a drink and called them to let them know that I do not want sugar in the drink. This is how my office mates and I always order it. They said that they already made it (I called them within thirty seconds after I ordered on Uber Eats). I politely asked that they make sure my drink doesn't have sugar. We went back and forth several times. I pleaded with her to please have some customer service to keep a loyal customer. She got off the phone, 'spoke to her manager', and called me back. She said she would make it with no sugar. I thanked her. Long story short, I waited an hour for a delivery driver to be found and then the notification said he was waiting for the order... I called Vivi and asked that they please give my drink to the driver. She gave me a few generic answers such as, 'uhh we made the drink already...' and we ended the call. So this is my second favorite bubble Tea place. It's much more of a relaxing environment and is fun inside. WARNING though the tea is pretty sweet here. So I recommend reducing that sugar level!
