I've been to vivi bubble teas in the past and this location can't even come close to compare to any of the stores I've been to. The little "store" which is more like a kiosk is located inside a Kbg restaurant off the main street near Rutgers. Our order was of an oolong milk tea and a mango yakult bubble tea with tapioca balls. The oolong milk tea tasted very bland, it didn't have the normal tea flavor that generally concentrated in bubble tea and my mango tea was flat out disgusting. It was shaken with such a small amount of ice that my drink was almost lukewarm and the actual drink was a weird herbal medicinal flavor and didn't taste like mango whatsoever. Will not be coming here again.. bubble tea for dessert ended in a big disappointment. read more

I tend to be a bigger fan of places that let you specify the amount of ice and sugar you want in your drink, so Vivi definitely gets a thumbs up for that! This is "strategically" located inside KBG so it's kinda hard to get one and not the other. :P Prices are more or less on par with/slightly more expensive than the other surrounding bubble tea places on Easton Ave. I'm usually a fan of passionfruit anything, but I actually have yet to try it here since I keep getting wooed by the Tiramisu Milk Tea...and more recently, the 3Q Milk Tea (it has pudding, grass jelly + boba) with less ice and 30% sugar. The only "gripe" I really have is that the boba isn't quite the chewy consistency I'd normally prefer (the boba from I's Cafe is my favorite!). Other than that, definitely no complaints! I typically have enjoyed ViVi at their locations in Manhattan, but this was horrible both drink and service! The bubbles are dry and have an odd taste. My basic classic black milk tea is terrible and the lychee bubble tea my friend ordered was so sugary it's impossible to drink. Would not recommend it and suggest taking your business else where. read more

The employee working had an upbeat attitude while dealing with the rush yesterday and working alone. My drink was refreshing and I enjoyed the flavor. The only downside was that the tapioca pearls were not as chewy as I am used to and had a hard center. read more

Located right in the college area and share a space with KBG . I have had many different versions of Bubbleteas from so many different places and I think I have found my favorite so far. The Champagne Grape is awesome long with the Lychee. Very reasonably priced and full of flavor. This is definite must try if you are in the area. read more

I hate to give this place three stars because the staffs were very nice, the place had a nice décor, plenty of seating, and wide variety of bubble tea flavors in addition to the affordable price. The reason for the 3-star rating is because of the bubbles (tapioca/boba). It had the texture of a day old bubbles. If you ever buy bubble tea and leave it in the fridge for one or two days, the texture of the bubbles changes. Rather than chewy, it is hard and not tasty. That's how these bubbles were. My friend agreed that the bubbles were hard. Which kind of ruin the purpose of the drink. My friend and I came here at 8pm on a Tuesday. Not sure if the bubbles were made earlier in the day or sometimes. I truly hope it was just a bad batch because this place is awesome. The flavor itself was good. I enjoyed my taro. read more

I pride myself in being somewhat of a bubble tea specialist, having been a barista back in college and tasted bubbles from all of the country! Now, I'm not sure if it's due to my age or what (probably age), but more and more boba cafes have started getting me sick and I can narrow that down to the amount of sugar these cafes dump in ther drinks. So it takes a very percise ratio of powder/syrup/sugar/tea/etc to really do it for me. And this particular Vivi's does it juuuust right. Another great bubble tea spot. It has many other locations in NY, but this is the only location in NJ other than Hoboken. They have a wide variety of flavors. The bubble tea is made with love. We love the taro flavor here. Boba pearls are the right texture too. They sell macaroons as well. The macaroons are delicious, dont miss it. The hazelnut and cappuccino are my favorite flavor. Stopped by ViVi for the first time tonight, after class, per the recommendation of someone (I think a manager of ViVi perhaps?) who had seen my other bubble tea and macaron reviews in the New Brunswick area. I went with the Roast milk bubble tea (the pleasant girl behind the counter suggested it - good service, very friendly) with tapioca balls and ordered a box of five macarons. I also ordered a taro milk tea for my sister. Bubble tea is quite good! They had several intriguing options on the menu that I am interested to try now that I know their simpler drinks are on par with my tastes. Consistency of the tapioca balls is great. The macaron flavors I chose were banana split, pistachio vanilla, mango coconut, tiramisu coffee, & earl grey. So far I've only samples the banana split one - the filling was delicious! The macaron itself is much better than others I've had in the area. (I've been on a hunt for a good macaron joint in New Jersey and I think I may have found it). However, I don't understand why - like other local places - the macarons are refrigerated (yes, I get it's supposed to keep them fresh, but I think it compromises the taste - lending a hint of refrigerator to your first bite). The places I buy from in NYC and Paris do not refrigerate their macarons, and I prefer their method. (...but hey, I have four more macarons to convince me otherwise, assuming my family doesn't get to them first!) Always glad to have another bubble tea place to frequent in New Brunswick. Will be returning. (Curious to try the BBQ joint they share a roof with, as well. If it's as good as the bubble tea, this will be a great stop). read more

Went here with two other people, we had four drinks between us- taro, Thai, Japanese matcha, and the Yakult drink. The juices themselves were okay but the tapioca pearls in all but the Yakult drink were disgusting. They were falling apart and tasted foul; it was clear that they gave us old pearls that were not fit to eat. I've had numerous drinks here before that were good but was disappointed that they would serve customers something like this instead of just making some new tapioca. Another friend of mine has always had the same poor experience at this place consistently. I wold just suggest to not waste your money and go to any of the other nearby tea places. read more

Im going to keep this review fairly shory; The bubble tea here is great and the Boba and other top inning are better than other competitors in the area. Solid bubble tea here. Located inside the KBG, so look out for that sign so you don't pass it. I usually don't like/go to this chain in the city, but compared to the other place I went to, this is the better bet in New Brunswick. You can choose sweetness and ice level, I usually go for less ice and 70% sweetness. I got one of heir new flavors, roasted almond, and it was good! The bubbles here are sweet! So that's always nice. We sat inside to drink, but you might end up smelling like kbbq. read more

This place is great, even considering the number of bubble tea shops in New Brunswick. I came here for KBG BBQ bowl inside but got some bubble tea. I like the roasted almond, as it is really similar to taro flavor. The staff are really friendly and they seal the drink with plastic, so that it doesn't spill. They serve a variety of options. Though I think they should get the rose flavor, same as the shop near Evelyn's. Prices are fair. They even have Lactaid for the lactose-intolerant. Love that they take credit card. The drinks are okay. When I bit into the tapioca is was chewy on the outside and kind of hard in the inside. I got the grapefruit Yakult drink but it was a bit sweet for my taste but next time I visit I'll make sure to reduce the sweetness. But what makes this place great is the customer service! The person making our drinks added lychee jelly for us in our drink because the drink wasn't as full which was a nice gesture. I went to get a Taro milk tea around 3:50 pm on 5/24/20. One of the workers there was not wearing a mask, which is highly irresponsible, given the current public health situation. They had a sign on the door requiring people to wear masks. Secondly, he got my order wrong, after I clearly mentioned what I wanted. The wrong order situation doesn't bother me as much as the choice by the worker there to not wear a mask. Won't be going back to this establishment ever again. read more

The place itself is pretty small and can get cramped since they have a lot of business (equally between Vivi's and the Korean BBQ Grill). But the boba is one of the best on Easton! Haven't really had KBG yet because the lines have been all the way back to the bathrooms and I'm always in a rush, but it certainly looks yummy and everyone sitting in and eating their food look very pleased. read more

Yay for Vivi! Finally a bubble tea spot that I like on Easton. Most bubble tea places have a very powdery taste to their drinks (not sure if it's the shaker or the powder quality), but not Vivi. I come here probably 2-3 times a week for a quick pick-me up. The staff is great and accommodating--I usually ask for less ice and less bubbles. I also love the macarons! We went here on a walk from Hyatt to Barnes and Noble bookstore. I almost missed it because there was a Korean BBQ sign and didn't see the sign. My daughter got a Lychee slush with strawberry popping beads. And I got a lychee slush with mango popping beads. My son got boneless chicken strips with Royal BBQ sauce. It was all delicious. i went here for the first time with a friend and we had trouble finding the place at first...didn't realize it was located inside of a big food court! i got their signature fruit tea which was pretty good. i liked how i could choose how much sugar to add to the tea (i had 30%) because often times bubble tea places make their drinks too sweet. my friend got the matcha bubble tea and it tasted like soap (would not recommend that!). i wouldn't go here again unless i'm really craving a fruity bubble tea. read more

A new place for bubble tea lovers in the area! The bubble tea is as authentic as it can get and the quality is very consistent- the bobas are always fresh and chewy, and the tea has just enough flavor that it isn't too strong or too milky (and it doesn't have a powdery taste like the bubble tea from some other places).
