The worst experience I have ever had. They cut my foot so badly that it wouldn't stop bleeding please stay away from its place.I Do not want to see this happen to anybody else. I tried to give O stars but it wouldn't let me. And then they tried to charged me for my manicure. I have included pictures here please look at them. And then one of the other workers there came over to try to stop the bleeding and kept giggling like it was some kind of a joke. He put one little Band-Aid on it and left half of the cut sticking out. I wouldn't even have been able to put my shoe on. I had to ask for more Band-Aids and then he made a face like it was an inconvenience for him. I have been going for pedicures for 25 years and have never experienced anything so terrible. Please be warned. I just wanted to add that when I went back in there on Saturday two days after this happened to show the owner the picture of my foot the worker that spent a half hour trying to stop the bleeding looked up when I came in and asked me if I wanted a pedicure he didn't even remember who I was after all that happened. That just goes to show you that they don't even know who you are nor do they care. How could you not recognize me after what happened. Came here for the first time with a friend . We just got your standard pedicure. Workers weren't chatty, which I like. Place was very clean and well lit , very pretty. What was different with there standard pedicure then other places is they used a sugar scrub on your legs . Awesome bonus. Of course that was followed by your standard lotion and massage . Once we were finished we sat under the dryers and were offered free back massages , very nice . They had I tip jar out , so I threw him $3 . The pedicure was $25 , more expensive then other places , I normally pay $20 . I would come back if I was in the area , but wouldn't go out of my way for it . read more

My favorite nail salon! Tried a few places in the area but none have been as reasonable as Vivi's. I got SNS with tips and it came out to 45. 35 for the powder and 5$ for each hand for the tips. Everytime I go my nails come out looking amazing even though there is often a long wait. Other than waiting a long time to get started there seems to be no flaws! I was tempted to try this new nail salon while running errands in Riverhead. I have a nail salon that I usually go to all the time but it is a little further from my home. This location is more convenient for me and I really wanted to love it. I went in for a pedi and gel mani. The place is absolutely spotless! Very modern and clean, which I loved. I sat down for my pedi and was not given any time for my feet to soak. She started right away on filing, shaping, and scrubbing. I opted for the spa pedicure, which I thought would be a nice relaxing start to my vacation week. What a mistake!! My nail technician was very rough in cutting the cuticles (I get a pedicure every 2 weeks - so there is no need to go crazy with the cutting). When she started shaving the dead skin off the bottom of my feet (again - no need to go crazy ... when you have pedicures every 2 weeks, there isn't a lot to slough off) she was very rough. It was actually painful and I kept jerking my feet toward me, giving her a hint to go softer. She made one final sweep with the foot file and I thought my toe was cut off! There was blood and a lot of pain!! She quickly motioned me to put my foot in the water. She didn't speak very good English, so I motioned for the owner / manager to come over. I took my foot out and showed her the cut - it was a pretty deep avulsion and it was bleeding. I asked her for a band aid and she came back with an anti septic bottle (green with foreign writing on it) and poured it onto my toe. OMG THE PAIN! I thought I was going to kick her in the face. She was being so nice trying to help me, that I couldn't muster any anger toward them. I again asked her for a band aid and she came back with a bottle of nail glue. Of course I stopped her before she attempted to put that over my open wound! A male in the shop opened up a first aid kit and gave me a band aid and some neosporin. After cleaning and bandaging my wound, I asked her to immediately stop my pedicure. I really just wanted to walk out but my legs were all wrapped in a moisture mask and my fingernails were covered in foil to get the gel off. She did stop the pedicure but insisted on painting my toes and neglected to apply the top coat. The manager gave me a different technician for my nails. She just kept apologizing over and over again. I was mostly disappointed because this was the beginning of my vacation and I just wanted to relax and enjoy the place. Instead, I have my toe wrapped up and I'm in pain. It's been three days and my toe is still in pain. It hurts to walk on it or bend it in any way. It was obvious that the woman doing my pedicure wasn't trained appropriately. I just hope that she has a license to do the work that she is doing. Her name is Yuki and the technician that did my gel mani had a name tag that said Suki. I'm not sure if these are their real names or what. I didn't notice any licenses hanging on the walls either. It would be shame if such a beautiful nail salon is not practicing in an ethical manner. The manager would not let me pay for my services and also gave me a gift card (that they were giving out to the first 100 customers). I wish her the best of luck in her business and appreciate how sorry she was. It's hard to be angry with them but I can't help but feel like I was put in the hands of someone who doesn't know what she was doing. That can't be good for future business. read more

I love this modern nail spa. I noticed these privacy curtains they had in the pedi section to separate myself from other customers. Elaine, the owner did an amazing job with my spa pedicure, which I really needed after one week of hectic work. She also did my gel manicure, I opted for French and still no chip, super shiny during the second week. I also went back a week later for foot massage. It was for about 45 mins and the guy who did it was amazing. I've had professional foot massages in the past and this guy was definitely at that level. The owner and staff were very nice, not perfect English but enough to understand and communicate. Will be a regular here for sure! read more

I want to love this place. It's clean, the staff is nice, and they do a good job. The prices are decent as well. However, I've yet to go and not wait a minimum of 30 minutes before being worked on, even with an appointment!! It doesn't seem to matter when you go, either (because, if it's a slow time, they just have less staff working). And don't expect there to be a magic artificial nail removal system at this place...went to have a set of acrylics replaced, and the guy used a metro card to try and peel them off. I could've done that myself at home. After he did two nails like that, I asked him to stop and just took them off myself at home. read more

i would put zero if it was an option! after i called to make sure they could take me in for just a fill in, they told me no problem you can wait just a few minutes. a half hour went by and 8 other people with no appointment got taken ahead of me! i asked why i have'nt been taken yet and the lady told me that not everyone can do a fill in. i'm pretty positive that when you get your nail tech training that fill ins are a part of that training.. gets me thinking..... i will never come here again. i will also tell everyone not to go there. thanks :) read more

I give this place one star!!! yes its clean! They speak Chinese constantly ! I told Kenny not to cut my cuticles since the last time he cut them and made them bleed!! He did not listen and I'm bleeding from 3 nails right now!!! he answers the phone while doing your nails! So unprofessional!! They were wonderful. They took their time in making sure my finger and toe nails were perfect for my wedding day. Johnny did my pedicure and was very detailed. I walked in and was given one price of $20 for gel polish and after my nails were completed, I was told it was $25. How the price increased $5 between walking in the door and getting my nails done...still confused. I went there on Wednesday and between Thursday night and Friday afternoon, my polish had chipped on a few of my nails. The nail technician was rude, chatty and unfriendly the entire process of my service. I will make a trip there today to have the polish repaired, and that will be my final experience at VIVI Nails. I am not a local, needed gel manicure. I found this, not the best reviews. I took my chances. No appointment had a 12 minute wait. Front desk was a little abrupt but my nails were breaking and in need of attention. The smells at the door not sweet, nit s ou re why. There where very busy and hour to closing. I love them i used to get gels permanet french but once i saw the new SNS nails system i had to try it and i love it just wish they had more colors also everything is reasonably priced id have to say and the owner is so nice ! I really want to love this place. It is clean, appealing to the eye and very spacious. However, after many attempts I will NOT be returning which is a shame because it is in a convenient location. When this nail salon first opened the service was wonderful, never left unhappy. A few months in, that began to change. On one occasion, I was looking forward to a nice relaxing pedicure, ten minutes in they felt it would be a good time to work on the front door, in the middle of winter. The sound of an electric drill and a chill that felt like an artic freeze eliminated the option of a relaxing pedicure. I decided to end this visit with a ten minute back massage, sadly my 11 year old daughter could probably have given me a better massage. My next visit we made a reservation for five adult pedicures and two children's, we all arrived on time and had a bit of a wait, were not seated together and not seated all at the same time. The point of making an appointment was to have a nice relaxing Mother's Day outing together. The pedicures were rushed and one of the girls in the party nail polish looked as though a two year old had painted her nails. Apparently being a glutton for punishment , I went back, with one of my girlfriends. This time as a walk-in, we were seated very quickly, which was nice. Though it went downhill from there. I have learned if you do not pay for the higher pedicure package at this salon they basically just wash your feet and paint your nails. So I splurge for the $35 pedicure, the massage and scrub was nice. I do not feel my cuticles were cleaned well at all and then to top it off the gentleman cut my toe nails in the shape of a stop sign. Did not even know that was possible. At this point I looked on the wall and did not see a license hanging with his picture on it. Well because I think everyone deserves another chance, I go back... For the LAST time. I got the older gentleman, again, who I am pretty sure doesn't have a license to be working in the salon. So I just ask for a basic pedicure, quickest pedicure I have ever gotten. Because of the nail cutting issue last time I asked form my toe nails to only be filed. Apparently this was a hard task because they are uneven and one on a slant. He also, did not fully removed off of my nail polish from all of my toes. Even worse was he did not wash my feet I still had garden dirt on the bottom of my feet (I walk around barefoot a lot, I know gross) nor did he use the scrub on the callas part of my foot. $25 out the window, and no I did not leave a tip. I have had enough. In addition they felt this would be a good time to put up blinds. Your establishment is not open 24 hours do your renovations after hours. I do not recommend going here, and If you do ask to see the persons license before they work on you. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else. read more

I wanted to try this new nail place since it was closer to where I live and boy oh boy do I REGRET trying this place out. The day I went the salon wasn't to busy and yet I waited 45 minutes to be seen (keep in mind I got to the salon at 130pm). When it was finally my turn to go I wait in the chair for another 10 minutes before a nail tech came over to me. She spoke no English at all so of course she couldn't understand what I was trying to say. She wrapped my fingers in the foil to get the gel polish off and then walked away. I was sitting there for about 20 minutes with my hands in the foil and my nail lady no where to be found. At this point my hands started burning because of the acetone being on way to long. Finally this guy comes over who again spoke no English and started to scrape the gel polish off with a tool not only was he so rough doing it I watched him take of my first layer of my nails. I took my hands away from he asked if he had a licence to do this and he giggled and walked away. Again I waited for awhile until someone else came over to do my nails. My nails were filed so unevenly it was disgusting. The polish job that was done was terrible, and to top it all off she didn't even do the gel mani the correct way. At this point I was so fed up I just let her continue so I could get out of there. I finally left the nail salon at 430pm...my original time of getting there was 130pm. Never in my life have I been in a nail salon for that long. Now a week later and my nails are completely destroyed. My nails are literally cracking straight across but so low where my nails is lifting off my skin. I don't know what the hell they did but they will he getting an earful from me. My nails are in so much pain and the gel polish is just peeling off. This should not be happening considering I take prenatal vitamins due to me being pregnant. My nails were so nice and strong and now the are flexible and cracking off one bye one. I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I've gone here for a while now for acrylics, although they are cheap, they run a terrible business. I've had a few horror stories here; yesterday I went in and they told me to wait, so I sat and waited for 30 minutes, and then they told me to leave. I was stranded there because my ride left, and I wasted my time. I've also had an experience with Kenny; he cut my fingers with the dremel to the point where I was bleeding pretty bad. The overall salon is actually very nice and clean. However, the quality of work (pedicure) Lily was the nail tech was awful. Quickest, sloppiest pedicure I ever had. The paint job looks horrible. Place was absolutely immaculate which is a huge plus in my book however it just opened so I wouldn't expect anything less... I went in Saturday evening to get my eyebrows waxed which if you have any type of experience is kind of hard to screw up... I usually go to my normal place however it is 20 min away and would be closed by the time I got there and was heading on vacation the following day... Walked in was welcomed right away and sat in the back waxing room and was told someone would be right with me... There were two customers (one getting pedicure and one with who i guess is the owner) and about 6 workers... I sat in the back for long enough for me to notice it's been awhile... The woman finally saw me back there and goes oh wax hold on... Came back and literally rushed through it waxed super fast didn't even clean it up with the tweezers or cut after and made them super thin ... That was NOT "clean up" I ended up going home and trying to salvage what I had left and cutting my own eyebrows... Will NEVER go back ... Horrible horrible horrible I would understand if they were busy and wouldn't mind waiting especially for good service maybe I should have taken the hint when only 2 people were there BEWARE if you want to have your eyebrows done right read more

Have you been looking, like I was, for a nail salon on Long Island that does NexGen manicures like they do in Florida? Well, while they don't seem to have that here in NY, they have something very similar and just as good right here at Vivi nails called SNS. It also uses a powder and gel combination which lasts for 3 weeks and helps your nails to grow strong and long. I was thrilled to discover this nice, modern nail salon in Riverhead, close to the Tanger outlet, and will continue to use them. The only reason I didn't rate them 5 stars was that they seemed a bit disorganized in how they worked. I had 3 different nail techs doing my manicure & pedicure. One wrapped my nails to soak off the old polish, then went to another customer. The 2nd one did my pedicure and about half of my manicure. Then she disappeared to do someone's eyebrows and, after a bit of a wait, another guy stopped working on the customer next to me and came over to me to complete my manicure and then went back to the other customer! In the end my nails came out looking great, so I was satisfied. But how do you tip? (I just handed my tip to the last guy who worked on me and told him to share it with the others). Oh, by the way, a fourth guy came over and gave me a nice shoulder massage while I was being manicured (gratis). I gave him a small tip as well! read more
