I am still having problems with this company. They took advantage of a recent widow They made me believe that they could help me carry on my late husbands business. I signed a form they told me it was so they could put a plan together for me to see and the approve. They lied now they want $9,000 from me. I am talking to a lawyer have complained to the BBB and the dept of commerce. Its a shame because if they do not change the way they do business they will have no business. I have been fighting this company since June 2011 the 2nd anniversary of my husbands death. They care only for themselves. Please do business elsewhere. Donovan updated me on the strategies used to get my business noticed online and how to utilize my advertising dollars effectively. Then Liane took over and let me tell you, she is the best. I work with others on my online advertising and they always handed me a "to do " list. Not Liane, she took it upon herself to get me Signed up with Google plus, update my Facebook and guide me into making post. I like how they keep in touch with you by making appointments by phone and going over my program as we go along. Also, making changes if need be. Liane always got back to me within 24 hrs. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE It was over 7 months into this digital advertising company that they finally got my ad correct. The first 7 months were worthless although I had to pay for it regardless. They sent me a new account coordinator about every two months that was as worthless as the previous one. Then they sent out return envelopes that sent your payment back to yourself !!! An awful company !! Not only did they not do even close to what they promised regarding online listings and how other people will find my business, the search words didn't even work to find me. You already had to know "my name" to find me. That defeats the purpose. They also said other sites will pick up my information. Nope, that didn't happen. Sales rep said give it more time. Still nothing. TWO YEARS wasted. I did NOT need, nor want, a local printed listing for my business. Then when I tried to cancel it took weeks of calling and e-mailing my sales rep at Berry before I got ahold of her. She told me she would cancel the contract so I stopped paying. Even sent me an email saying I owed nothing more. However, I only signed up for ONE YEAR. I'm now getting billed until the end of this 2nd year. Can't find anyone to talk to except the bill collector who said the contract renews each year unless I notify them "in writing" beforehand, that I should have read the contract. Huh? What contract? Notify who in writing? I never received a contract to look at, much less a warning it was going to renew. Nor did I sign one. I only have the advertising work order. They say they also email everyone regarding the renewal. Nope....never got that either and I did a total search. They told me it's too bad my sales rep didn't handle this properly, but that it is MY PROBLEM and I still owe them!! Their sales rep was either totally incompetent and/or a liar, but that's MY PROBLEM. They will not even look into this, nor can I get ahold of anyone in customer service, only the bill collector people in an attempt to resolve this. My bill is not as high as others on these reviews. I'm just going to pay them off to avoid any more aggravation on my part, and PRAY THE CONTRACT SOMEHOW DOES NOT RENEW SINCE I CAN'T CONTACT ANYONE regarding any of this, except the bill collectors. I can't even find any info online about this company to write them. Sales rep out of Ohio, bill collector out of Chicago....they show numerous offices online....who do you contact? Very bad experience with The Berry Company. Please do not repeat my mistake. The Berry Company sold me an advertising program which was supposed to contain a partial refund if targets where not met. The advertising program failed, but The Berry Company would not honor the refund. I will never advertise with The Berry Company again and Hawaiian Telcom should end their association. read more

I have been with vivial for 7 month now. Hey created an incredible website for me. Very contemporary and clean looking. Our site wasn't found in search before. After 7 month of article program. I gave Vivial a 6-month trial contract because they insisted it takes about that to gain likes and follows on my FB business page. I started at 220 and six months later I ended at 330 with zero sales. With continuous requests to do something different because what was being done did not work, and was not what was agreed upon. I agreed to increase my ad spend budget in January to run through the end of the 6-month contract to see if that helps. It did not so I discontinued working with them. Apparently, they lied about what was being signed when they asked me to sign an agreement for the increase in ad spend and created a 12-month contract instead. I never agreed to do that. They were not performing in the first place and this was a last-ditch effort to get some sales in and it failed. I don't appreciate the deception, the lack of care for my business, or the lack of knowledge for how the social sites really work. I am not a social media person. This is why I hired them. Every time I would ask about why my ads were not working they would send me the stupid ad book that didn't even relate to what I was asking about. Do not put your money with these people. read more

I tried two different managers with different methods to increase my web presence. While the people were very nice, their totally ineffective in what they do for you. I was very disappointed, but to make it worse, there are multiple layers with the corporate office being on the mainland and the billing department seems to be completely disconnected from what the agents are saying. So on top of not EVER getting a single call from my website after 2 years of paying for there services, I continue to get bills from them. My account manager Megan promised she had arranged payments to cease because she felt bad about the lack of any improvement but I'm still getting threatening calls from their accounting dept. I just got off the phone with the billing and sales department in Lexington KY. These people have to be nice as this is all they have. I could not believe how dumb these people are. I had to ask the same question 6 times. The question required a yes or no answer. They all seemed real nice, but dumb. I really hate working with dumb people. Vivial reached out to me because they were able to discover I used Home Advisor to promote my business. They really led me to believe that they could do a better job, and I was frustrated with Home Advisor at the time because of their inconsistent lead fees, however, my experience with Vivial seems to be worse so far. After signing up with Vivial, the inquiries coming into my company have basically gone to zero. I do not know what is going on, but what I had before was working, and now it is not. I am definitely not a marketing expert, which is why I give my money to people who are, but it seems like I am giving my money to the wrong people. I am not big on writing reviews (have not written a single review in years), but I am so unbelievably frustrated that I wanted to share my experience in hopes of helping someone else. Expensive and a complete ripoff for "services". They say they are generating business by giving you "leads" when they are actually marketing another website (not yours) and phone number to "track" these so called leads. Integration is not seamless either. They will bill you for services they haven't even completed. Lack of documentation when requested from Account manager, sales representative, etc. Their customer service is a joke. They don't even deserve one star. read more

This place is a crock! They contacted our business and recorded call only to edit it and cut out and make it say what they wanted it to say. my husband clearly stated I NEED TO DISCUSS THIS WITH MY WIFE. I called Windstream they had no idea who this company was so i immediately thought SCAM.... we called back couldnt reach anyone. so i gave up. only 6 months later receive a bill for $265 per month and a phone book to show our advertisement. stated if we didnt pay they will turn it over to collections..... WELL GO AHEAD cause we aint paying it. they ALSO had the "wrong email" and everything concerning this was going to wrong email address. HOW IRONIC! yet when i request info they need our correct email. he owns a small business very small and uses word of mouth. Horrible company trying to charge outrageous costs for a listing in a small town phone book on behalf of Windstream Communications. My rep was hard to get a hold of and never answered when I called. Left countless messages with "call me after 2pm" and she always call in the early morning. She continued to threaten me that the deadline was in 24 hours. Finally we spoke after 10 or so calls later. We were paying 180 for a red bold listing that was now going to be $200 annually. No changes. I said no way. Our company dropped to a basic listing and finally lowers the price. Then she tries to tell me out website is terrible. No madam our website is fine. People only go there to get our location, hours, services offered, and phone number. We are not a business that does online sales. With location tracking turned off you can type our service and town name in google and we are the first four matches with a google places listing. Which we paid nothing for. There is no way their service at the cost she was stating would do anything for us. Next year I may even cut the paper phone book listing if they can't keep the annual price at $50. One thing I definately don't like is that it is billed monthly for the life of the directory. What if they NEVER print another annual phone book. Are you going to charge me the $4.18 forever? Then they record you when you agree to these terms. In conclusion, only keep the paper phonebook listing if you really think it is bringing in customers. Ask your customers how they found out about you. Stay away from their other forms of "helping your business". read more
