I just left the salon and I'm so impressed by the way my hair looks. Vivian did an amazing job on my color. My hair is super soft and shinny. I just had to share my experience. I had an appointment at 12:30P for balayage. I was able to find metered parking across the way. BE AWARE "you have to move the car before 4". She was working on someone else's hair when I arrive but finished within 20 minutes. She then checked out my hair and showed me pix of different color options which I liked. She started mixing the product and had 2 different mixes. One was stronger than the other since my ends had color on them. She was very patient and took her time in applying the product. She also discarded some of the product when it got to a certain point. She made a new one so it would activate better. She was probably the first colorist that ever did that with my hair. She recolored the ends on the sink because the ends didn't take well. She also toned my hair. She did a great job in the blow dry and style. I highly recommend her for color. If you buy it in groupon,she will make excuses that the salon is closed for the covid 19 or that she can't work on your hair doing simple high lights because is too complicated in a brown hair base or that you need to pay $200 or $300 more for simple high lights and toner,that will take her 5 hours.So ridiculous! I do high lights often and ever any hair dresser told me something like that.I have a good hair ,brown based not too dyed. If she doesn't like to do groupons, why she is advertising there? I bought a Groupon for a simple cut and conditioning service. When I called I left a voice-mail and it took about a week to get a return call. When I tried to set up an appointment she told me she was booked out two months because she only works 2-3 days a week. I told her by the time I get an appointment my Groupon will be expired she said she would still honor it. The day I scheduled an appointment I had a serious emergency and I reached out immediately to inform her and she told me I could come back at a different time. Please also keep in mind I was the last appointment of the day when I had the emergency. She told me she would contact me when someone cancelled. Did she ever contact me back... No of course not! I asked her if she had any appointments available in April and of course she said no. I recently followed up to get rescheduled and she told me she's no longer honoring my Groupon... what a misleading and fallacious reply! I guess she has never had an emergency in her whole life. I will be contacting Groupon. Buyer beware. She has no appointments available for the Groupon customers!!!! read more

I have been on the hunt for an amazing salon since my former stylist, of many, many years, moved out of Los Angeles. I cried tears of sadness then, but tears of joy now! Vivan brought the hair I love back to life. Vivian listened to what I hoped for, what I like about my hair, and what struggles I have currently. She continued to check-in throughout the cut. I have natural curls that, when cut correctly, curl effortlessly with volume and lift. I knew, before I left the shop, that this cut was done right. It had the same feel, the same layering, the same softness, and the same shine I used to love. I no longer deal with terrible knots and tangles and my hair takes little care, other than some twirling and air drying to bring my big curls back. I received the protein treatment, in addition to the cut. The products Vivian used did not weigh down my hair, nor did they leave any buildup. Big pluses. The salon itself is lovely. It is a separate windowed room, so you don't hear a lot of excess noise, yet it is still light, calm, and open feeling. I am pleased that I tried my luck with Vivian. About 8 years ago I started going to Vivian for my cut and color. I have curly hair and as all curly haired people know, it is hard to get the right cut. Vivian really takes the time to understand what you want when you go in there. She listens and discusses your expectations but also understands that everyone has different hair and suggests whats appropriate for you hair (based on your expectations). I have been getting my hair not only cut but colored by Vivian as well. I have been stoped in the market by a random person me asking "Is that your natural hair color - its beautiful." I love Vivian so much that I convinced my boyfriend to go get a hair cut by her. My boyfriend wanted a hair cut that was low maintenance and was looking for someone who could also cut his hair with a style. After his first cut, he hasn't gone to see anyone else! He regularly makes appointments with her (we even end up going together). Along with my boyfriend going to see her, I had given her number to my best friend and told her she HAD to go get a consultation with Vivian. She, like my boyfriend, has now made Vivian her one and only stylist. My best friend loves how Vivian makes her hair look great, but also keeps in mind that she wants a cut and color that is low maintanence. She has never felt better about her hair! So not only does my boyfriend and best friend go see her, my mother and grandmother both get their hair done by her! I know this is hard to believe, but i'm not joking! She is the best!!!! I have been seeing Vivian for about 10yrs now. She has given me highlights, color and the brazilian/keratin blowouts. Now my 2 teenage daughters see her too and she has given them wonderful cuts as well as the other treatments. She has always done a fantastic job and we always get many compliments on our hair. I have lived in LA for 12 years and been through my fair share of colorists. Vivian is AMAZING with blondes. I've been seeing her for two years and have always loved the results.
