Unprofessional, crowded and smelly. I booked my appointment on line yesterday through their own website. I picked Josh for 11:45am. When booking, you just clicked through and pick your stylist and available time. Their website guide you through, and confirmed. I arrived on time, but my stylist wasn't there. A woman came up and asked me to wait while she contact him. She got him on the phone and gave it to me. I spoke with him, and he said he only works there a few days a week. He asked if I live in the Palisades. Regardless of where I live, I'm there for my appointment and he flaked out entirely. He didn't even make any efforts to be there. He simply said, he will not be there today. I drove over an hour to be here and got stood up. I don't know about his work, but I will never be back. read more

I can't stop looking at my hair. Danny Vee & his assistant Ivy did an amazing job today. I told Danny I was bored with my extra long black hair & interested in some balayage and he was like "I know exactly what to do" then boom! This was the final product. He was so accommodating, too - I felt awful because had to cancel my original appointment on very very short notice (like 2 hrs notice) due to a family emergency, and he was so understanding and sympathetic during a difficult time. I love this salon because even though they take care of the high end, beautiful people types, they are still so kind and welcoming to everyone. I walked in there like a deer in the headlights wearing running shorts, a giant t-shirt, and overgrown hair that hadn't been cut in 2 years and I was still treated like a VIP. Danny Vee is my go-to forever! I regularly get balayage highlights and K-tip extensions with him, and he literally kills it every time! I've gone to so many colorists in LA, OC, and SF before finding him, and he is the best by far. My boyfriend also gets haircuts with him now too. Uploading two photos - one from today of Danny's color on my air dried hair (new golden brown color which I'm obsessed with), and another photo from a blonder look a few months ago where Danny colored, styled, put extensions in my hair! ATTENTION TO ANYONE THAT IS CONSIDERING FASHION HAIR COLOR FROM DANNYVEE!!! DO NOT BOOKED YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THIS STYLISTS UNLESS IF YOU WANT TO LOOK FLUORESCENT HIGHLIGHTER COLORS. GOOD LUCK! I had appointment with him to color and cut my hair. I discuss with him the color I wanted my hair. I showed him a image of the dark purple magenta color. He said he could achieve the color I was showing him but first he had to bleach my hair. Mind you my hair color was a light brown. He really didn't need to bleach it especially when the colors I requested were dark purple magenta. He showed me a swatche book I choose this dark purple. First him and his assistant bleach my hair. Than wash my hair to add the color. They wash my hair. It was bright copper color with pink undertones. Apparently they taught the color looked great. I immediately told him I showed you an image and choose a dark color. His excuse was that one of the colors overpowered the other one. He mixed a new color. They added the color yet again. They wash my color. Before I even saw it he and his assistant were like it's a beautiful color. When I saw it was a BRIGHT RED COLOR!!! They thought the color was beautiful. At that point I knew I needed to get out of the Salon because he had no idea what he was doing. If he thought red is purple. I don't know if he is color blind but in what universe you ask for a dark purple magenta and get BRIGHT RED HAIR AND THINK IT'S OK! I was devastated!!! I wanted to leave as soon as possible. While he was blow drying my hair he was trying to convince me the hair look great. He wanted to take a picture of it. I didn't want to at all. But apparently he thought I was happy. I just wanted to leave he charged me $495. For something I need to get fixed ASAP. I was so devastated I didn't know what I was doing my only concern was to get out of the salon. I was devastated that STUPID OF ME I EVEN TIP HIM. I WAS WAY TO NICE. I just wanted to get out!! The only reason I went to Dannyvee was because my regular Stylists was out of town. I spoke to my stylists the next day and he told me that first he didn't need to bleach my hair. If it came out to a bright red hair is because what colors he combined . I made my appointment with my regular Stylists to get my hair color fixed and to what the original hair color was supposed to be . NEVER AGAIN HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! My wife comes here regularly for her haircut and coloring. Her most recent trip she met Sylvester Stallone !!! What!!!!! I was so jealous to hear this as I was stuck in Florida watching our dogs. Dani, her stylist, actually let my wife FaceTime me while he was cutting her hair and styling. He wanted to show me before cutting her hair what he wanted to do and wanted to make sure I was ok with it. I know this isn't a normal process but he's been cutting my wife's hair for over 4 years. Dani handles the celebrities who come in here for a haircut. Thank god, I met Dani before he started working with the celebrities otherwise I do not know if we would be on the A-List for Dani. I was very nervous to go to a new salon (amidst COVID) + after my hairstylist of many years, that I loved, moved to Boston... but my hair needed some love after I was my own stylist during quarantine. What a great experience. The salon is bright & airy, and has really good energy. I walked in and was greeted with a smile by the salon director Dani. Reception checked my temperature with a touchless gun and had me sign-in in a way that made me feel like part of a community versus an outsider they were afraid of. I also noticed they had a UV disinfecting light/Germicidal lamp. I looked it up and it actually disinfects the area anywhere the light touches. We all wore masks the whole time. They're taking the pandemic seriously and that is important to me. Pretty awesome. I love the color Erik did on my hair. Its so hard to find a good colorist that you can trust. He knows what he is doing and I'd highly recommend. Sylvie cut my hair. She has a great personality & when I asked her to just do a dusting off the bottom... she ACTUALLY did a dusting. Revolutionary. It was so nice to not have to be sad after someone gets scissor happy and takes off 2 inches. Both Erik & Sylvie were so easy to talk to and listened to & achieved what I wanted. Just an update for 2019, as I still love Dennis and go to him for all my cut/color needs, but also have a great time every time I go to Brighton. The energy there is incredible. The music is always great and it's fun to spend a couple of hours there once a month or so. Dani always goes out of his way to make me feel welcome, and Yumi gives the best head rubs when she shampoos me. They're constantly making improvements to the place, whether it's the bathroom or the laundry facilities or, most recently, new salon chairs -- which are MUCH more comfortable than the ones before. My husband Sam called almost every hair salon on my birthday and couldn't find any luck. Everyone he called in the valley in Ventura Blvd. were all booked! Then he remembered about Brighton Salon and a guy name Dani that he trusts. He calls Dani and asked him if anyone in the salon is available to do his wife's hair. Thank God Roy was available to take me in. If My husband trusts Dani and Dani recommends Roy, then I 100% trust Roy. I always get nervous when I get a new hairstylist. But when Dani introduced us to Roy, I immediately got the vibe that Roy will do a great job on me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE... my new haircut and hair color!
