The salon itself is very calming and if you're ever driving by you can't help but get drawn in by the clean aesthetic. I think this salon has a new loyal client. Shout out to Gianna, she's so fun and sweet. Not to mention very skilled. She knew exactly the cut I was interested in without me even pulling up any pictures. She asked questions on my preference and gave me advice on styling after my cut. I'm looking forward to trying other services at this location on my next visit. I'm so happy I found this place.

After gathering some recommendations about what I was looking for, Ash & Willow was the place I chose. So to start there isn't any dedicated parking for this salon. There's street parking all around and one of the employees told me that they often park in the lot where Walgreens is, so that may be an option too. And lest you get confused, as I did, whilst trying to find the entrance, it is not at the "point" of the salon that faces the corner of Devon and Talcott, but rather about part the way down the block on Devon. It's a very elegant salon; comfy chairs, chandeliers, the whole works. Up front they have their merchandise and also seem to sell things by other creators--jewelry, textiles, etc.--along with their hair and skincare merchandise. Kevin Murphy, Milbon, Alastin, and Aveda are some of the brands you'll find here. I had an appointment with Shante, and she was great. Very warm and friendly, and I quickly felt a rapport with her. She did a great job on my my color, and we discussed other styles as well. I've been considering cutting it, which is usually just a couple inches to clean off the ends and re-establish the layers, but I may go a bit shorter. I'm also thinking about balayage as we move into spring. Shante is also a curly hair expert, and since my daughter has beautiful curls I will probably take her here once she starts getting her hair cut. And I wouldn't mind knowing better how to manage my own curls, and I'll be glad to have Shante's experience and expertise to guide me.

Odette is the best! She made my first lash perm a comfortable experience!…read more I attended a family wedding 2 months ago and wanted to do something different aside from doing fake lash extensions. I've done the fake lash extensions for years now and they just don't do it for me anymore. I also don't want to look like Mr. Snuffleupagus when I'm trying to look cute. If I do get falsies I'm lucky if they last a week. I've also done magnetic lashes too but those don't stay on well resulting in the corners being undone. I wanted my lashes to look as natural as possible with some curl to it. My lashes naturally lie flat and even with mascara, they don't appear to stand out. Lash perms can give your own lashes the extra curl needed. Most of all the perms last for at least a month! Odette was sweet, calm and patient with me given this was my first time doing this. She explained the process and checked in with me often since the perm solution they put on can cause mild stinging. I felt that but it didn't cause serious discomfort. In the days ahead, my eyes did crust up but what I was left with were a beautiful set of lashes that were of my own, just a bit enhanced to give you that va-va-va voom oomph to your look. If paired with eyelash primer and a coat of mascara, they stand out guaranteeing you won't get that Snuffleupagus aesthetic. I would definitely recommend lash perms for a special occasion/vacation. My session lasted an hour allowing for relaxation. In fact, I took a 20-minute nap while on the table! Parking is a breeze with Posh Beauty situated in a large strip mall with adequate free parking. Get your lash on and look fabulous!

No music playing...similar personal questions from Odette like the other commenter said. And some rude questions too! The blowout was not good. My hair felt like it had a weird sticky chemical in it. I couldn't wait to wash it. Total waste of time and money.

You can even specify a hairstylist should you have a preference. Someone from the salon called to check in and ensure I had the best experience by asking a few basic questions about what I wanted for a cut. I was really impressed by the thoroughness in follow-up. When I got to the salon, check in was quick, the front desk kindly asked to hang up my coat, and there was no wait time (despite arriving slightly early for my appointment). You could also request a refreshment, and they have one of the most extensive coffee menus I've ever seen! The wash, cut, and styling were all done seamlessly, with my stylist periodically asking clarifying questions along the way. I paid at the door, and inquired when I should be back. Another staff member knowledgeably mentions about 6-8 weeks to maintain the shape of the cut. Everyone was so warm and kind. Not to mention, there's great parking in the front and in the alley. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
