i do not recommend going here, went once and never again! after getting color done i noticed uneven color so i contacted for fix but after going through my hair more i realized how much hair they fried off leaving bleach on for an hour. was told my hair could handle it and that i could get it done all that session but my hair felt like straw 24 hours after and now has all different lengths going on. Very disappointed. Only thing keeping my hair okay is olaplex hehe! Honestly not going to lie when I was reading the reviews I got a bit nervous but when I got in there my nerves completely eased I was attended immediately and Susie was super sweet and so was her two assistant they made me feel comfortable gave me a boost of confidence and beyond thankful that they could make my hairstyle match my inspo pictures and on top of that they had great team work skills I left looking like whole different person in the best way possible also price wise was extremely reasonable cheap prices but again at vivid beauty they know what their doing! Personally i'd never return here. I went in looking to go blonder $300 & for K tip extensions $1000 (i'm already a blonde just brassy) i noticed my hair melting off and asked her to wash it out. everything was okay at this point just decided to do a big chop she cut hair a little above my shoulders we discussed my hair extensions and she said she'd order them and to come back in like a week. i returned back and she had only ordered 2 packs of hair. i don't have thick hair but it's not thin either average i'd say. while i was getting my hair extensions installed another customer came she left me and provided service to the other customer and had one of the ladies there finsh my hair. i do not think the other 3 girls are licensed considering she did a horrible job. anyways i was "finshed" then she was like we need to order one more pack it wasn't even 25% done at this point. she then told me she'd order fast shipping and to come back in 1-2 days can't remember but i came back in it was still HORRIBLE. did not blend well at all! and that was after the 3rd pack of hair and her "blending" it the "bangs" she cut that i didn't want or ask for where horribly uneven. she then had me come back again after i sent her pictures and expressed that there's no way i just paid $1000 to have chopping half a** done hair. i went back while the shop was closed and she inserted 2 more packs in my head because the one she had planned to put in wasn't enough. after it was done she proceeded to ask for another $150 or "whatever i wanted to give her" for her inconvenience. it was MY INCONVENIENCE i had to walk around looking like a idiot for 3 weeks before this process was fully finshed and it still doesn't blend well. read more

I was in MI for my daughters wedding, and a friend told me to go see Suzy at Vivid Salon. With full faith in my friend I put myself in Suzy's hands 3 days before the wedding. She knew EXACTLY what I needed (even more than I did). Since the wedding in October, I have flown from AZ to MI to get my hair done at Vivid Salon 2 more times. My name is Lacey Bolyard, I go by cece as well. I've went here for three years and never had an issue until this most recent time. I went in with long, thick, wavy/curly hair, and came out with a red scalp, and insanely thin hair. Bleach was on my scalp for far too long which created massive hair loss. If bleach is on for too long those hair follicles can become inactive due to trauma. (Look it up if you don't believe me, or even talk to a dermatologist like I did). Well that's exactly what happened to me. The owner did not offer me a strip test, did not offer multiple sessions like she has other clients, or advise me to do something else with the condition my hair was in, nor did she disclose the risks of doing this application. If I would have even heard the word "hair fall" or anything close to I would've stopped immediately. It's not hard to educate clients on safety so they can make a competent decision. She blocked me on Facebook when I posted my raw and honest review. So that other people would not associate this tragic event with her company. UPDATE: she did unblock me after I spoke to her about the unprofessional aspect of that. But it seems she took the review portion off of Facebook entirely. If wrong please correct me. However, I am persistent and need others to know that morality is not always used there. Every day is a struggle seeing myself in the mirror, I am 21 and have to live my life insecure and bitter because my hair was irreversibly ruined by a "professional". For the women accusing me of bashing her, I am not. I have given Suzy a 5 star review before, I loved what she did back in February. However, I have to update the review with this most recent traumatic bleach fail she and her staff did. The moral of this story is this could have been avoided entirely. I scheduled for a balayage and was not informed the miscommunication we had for the end image would no longer be a balayage, if the bleach was NOT left the bleach on too long I wouldn't have been effected like this, if I was offered a strip test that wouldn't have happened, if I was even offered multiple sessions this wouldn't have happen, if I had been been disclosed the actual "damage" mentioned that would occur and not just the word, mind you if something as serious as IRREVERSIBLE hair loss would occur you'd think the cosmologist would disclose that, correct?? *I was compensated a free trim and conditioning treatment for my irreversible damage originally. Then once my fb review got lots of attention Suzy offered much more compensations such as free trims indefinitely, extensions, etc.* updated Dec 29th because I am still so pressed about the carelessness and needed more than two pictures to get a better perspective. read more

She gave me a great cut and blow dry and she doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I have thinner hair and I don't like that other places charge the same amount for a cut and blow dry for a lady with very thick hair vs thin hair. read more

Not good at cutting short hairstyles. I left this place upset. When I asked her to fix it, she made it worse. Its hair and it will grow back, but until it does, I have to clip my front pieces back. It's chopped up pretty bad and uneven. read more

I have screenshots I took I already I know how she (the owner Suzy) is! She's going to try to comment back on here to back herself up as she did on another bad review.. When clearly she was in the wrong!! Not once apologized or tried to make things right all she said was I wish you said something when you where here when I did! And again had some sort of explanation for my "complaints" when I have proof! We already went back and forth on what I'm about to write on here so where do I begin! First off this is my second visit and LAST going to her the first time I went to Suzy she did my hair balayage in 11/21/2020 to be exact it came out fine reason why I came back to her and even brought her a new client my niece well this time she had new females working with her and so she had them do my hair this time Suzy only helped a lil here and there mainly ( Sahar ) worked on my hair Idk how you spell her name anyways they where supposed to do a balayage with dimension I guess as she explained that ONLY the CENTER of my hair would be dark brown and the top part would be the blonde balayage with bottom and edges as well blonde balayage so since my hair had grown out since late November of last year, they left me with the bleach for quite sometime and would go back repeatedly to check the progress and would applied more bleach on certain parts so when it was time to finally wash it out once they applied the toner mind you my scalp was already really irritated which of course because it's bleach well once she applied the toner it started to STING and BURNNN REALLY REALLY BAD to the point I couldn't take it and was shaking my legs and trying to sit still and mind you I have a very high tolerance for pain but I've been getting my hair bleached over the last 4 years and never went through something like that! So I told Sahar it was burning really bad and didn't really say nothing just repeated what I said and said oh and kept going so I took it like a champ because I noticed they don't like when you complain in their salon felt like they would talk bad about you in their Arabic language once they didn't agree with something you said and once they were done with my hair almost 8 hours and $305 later! I noticed my whole bottom hair looked very dark so I told susy and she said oh it will fade after a few washes and if it doesn't I will fix it so I told her ok but I didn't leave the salon too happy that night after being so excited to get my hair done again and I now have very fried very damaged and uneven haircut that I don't understand why when I had gotten a hair treatment and haircut 2 weeks right before with them and then another one afterwards why did I need another haircut because they know they messed up my hair! So when I got home I was running my fingers through my hair cause it still was hurting really bad I felt some dried up stuff from my sculpt to my hair and looked in my bathroom mirror I had opened up sores like blisters with clear liquid oozing out of it on both sides of my hair!! Showed my husband and his reaction when he seen it his eyes almost popped out cause of how bad it looked and felt the pain for me couldn't even sleep on my sides for the next few days told me they missed me up big time mind you I did not go through this the last time I went with her and when I went to put my hair up nothing but dark hair showing on the bottom all the way up to my ears on my sides !! And on top you see a good chunk of my hair that was burned off on the bottom so when I messaged her all this and showed her videos and pictures she had the audacity to make excuses for it all she said that's normal to have blisters on your sculpt when bleaching because my upper sculpt is sensitive?! Really like I said and told her I went this light with her last time and non of that happened to me I tried to give her a chance by making things right and all she did was left me on read and it has been a week and half since then to now so here I am writing this review because my niece went back to her recently to fix the very uneven haircut that they gave her as well and on top of all this she had the nerve to say to my niece "what's wrong with your friend I told her I would fix it and I'll only charge her $30 for another hair treatment if she wants" least she could do was offer me a free " hair treatment " instead of leaving me on read a lot of people that I shared my bad experience with about this salon said I should get a refund back! read more

This salon is not following the recommended procedures and guidelines from exposure to COVID-19. I went in to get my hair done this week and no one was wearing a mask. They're were two women in there getting their hair colored not wearing masks and the two stylists that work there one being the owner and the other stylist weren't wearing masks either. I called to make an appointment earlier in the week, so when I got to the salon I wouldn't have to wait. They made me wait and sit on there dirty couch for 20 minutes before the owner came and got me. The owner and the other stylist were too busy coloring one person's hair. Once the owner was done coloring the persons hair in front of me, she came and got me and I asked her to put a mask on. I showed her a picture on my phone of how I wanted my hair to look and she tried to convince me that If I don't plan on styling it everyday, it wouldn't be worth my time... a simple layered haircut apparently takes too much effort. Suzy and Nala are two of the most laziest rudest "stylists" you'll ever meet. This salon is so dirty and disgusting. There was hair everywhere on the floor and on the chairs from previous hair cuts throughout the day. I guess they couldn't be bothered to sweep up and be clean like the new guidelines suggest. Went from long hair to a jacked up layered balayage look, 2visits for her to complete her work on hair due to her mistake, did not fix cut, was going to charge additional to show finished product, instead left with a wet head and jacked up hair cut, will go elsewhere to fix. Don't let these good reviews fool you! Not everyone gets picture perfect hair! Do not recommend! She drops clips brushes on floor does not disinfect, 2nd visit and same hair mess on floors! I decided spur of the moment to get my hair done for a change for my birthday and I called everywhere and I spoke to Suzy on the phone and immediately liked what I was hearing. She was very relatable to speak to and very easy going she had great recommendations the salon was beautiful and clean I was very surprised. She did the best color on my hair, I was very satisfied with the color she took her time and used no heat so no burning ladies! What a relief. The color turned out great and she used great products. I really felt a connection with her and we had great conversation on a personal topic I needed advice on so that was a bonus. Like I said I love the color of my hair BUT There is a small downside and that is that i pushed what I wanted in a picture I showed her and I don't feel like it looks like the picture at all other than the color. I'm the happiest I've been with my hair color probably ever and I have nothing negative to say I just wished it looked a little more like the picture.
