When I called to ask some questions, I spoke to Vanessa. I learned today that she is the owner of Vivid Nails! I told her based upon our conversation and her high ratings, I decided to try them out. Vivid Nails is the third salon I've tried in Arkansas. I'm from New Jersey and had been looking for an excellent nail salon. I would recommend using a different nail tech than the male tech. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. I asked him to cut them down a bit more and he didn't, they are super thick, they look like they are sitting on top of my nail instead of being a nail. I don't get my nails done as often as I used to but I would like to get my money's worth at least. I have been to Vanessa several times in the past and she does very well. Service was ok but the entire thing felt rushed although I arrived with more than enough time before closing. My dip set came out good but this is probably the worst 35$ pedicure I've ever gotten. This salon was super clean and the staff was very friendly. I appreciate that they have a sterilizer in plain view and regularly were retrieving tools out of it. I walked in for an acrylic fill and was upsold on gel paint for quicker drying time. Total time in was about an hour. My tech had great attention to detail and from what I can tell he did a bang up job. The chairs were comfy and they have plenty of spa pedicure chairs. The price is quite a bit higher than other salons in the area and there wasn't any discernible background music or tv which would have been nice. read more

Vanessa and Pax are both wonderful! Every time I have been I have loved the experience and my nails!

I wanted to like this place, but I got charged $10 extra for almond shape though I came into the spa with perfect almond shaped nails, meaning my nail technician did not shape them into almond. I thought me and my nail technician (who was the owner under my understanding) understood there'd be no extra $10 charge because he didn't have to shape my nails into almond, but then he went and charged me $62 .. when all i got was matte Dip on my real nails (with an exception of 2 fingers needing tips, which was $5 extra). If i would've known he was charging me for almond, I would've told him to make them more almond but instead they were left on the wider side, because that's how I had come to shop with them and i didn't want to be charged that extra $10! When I mentioned me thinking this was our understanding based on our earlier convo, he left me with his wife who was bossing me about the spa's policy, even though I kept trying to very calmly explain that I came in with well-shaped nails due to my own experience in nails. To say the least, I left feeling done dirty rather than treated luxuriously like a "spa" should feel, and will not be returning. I would not recommend this place for people with naturally nice nails who are looking for basic nails. read more

Found Vivid because it was open on a Sunday and that is hard to find in this town. They are closed on Tue instead. Came in by blind luck but I am very happy that I did. Pax's work is meticulous From the attention he gives your nails, his great foot messages and his PERFECT painting he is one of the best nail artists around. Susan is great! I always request her. She does a beautiful dip/powder French manicure on my fingers and her pedicures are so relaxing. I have new hands and feet when I leave the salon. I've been to this nail salon for pedicures several times. I have always been pleased with the end results BUT every visit was very uncomfortable because the technicians (never the same) repeatedly tried to get me to do more than just the pedicure that I wanted. I almost felt harassed! But I gave it one more shot today...it's the closest salon to where I live. My visit today was WONDERFUL. Joyce was my technician. She was careful, attentive and friendly. Not once did she ask me if I wanted another service other than my pedicure. The whole session was very relaxing and my toes look gorgeous. This was my 4th time going to this nail salon in which the services was performed by the owner, in which is a racist. On my third experience I was charged extra for paying with a card, and I sat in watched her charged other customers regularly when they used theirs. My nails was not done in the manner in which I requested & my eyelashes were done okay. Today I went to her again & me being her only customer, my eyelashes look like bs and four of them have fallen out. People of color, she is a racist & don't waste your money. I am always wary of going to a new salon not knowing if they will take good care of me... But they did! This salon deserves all of the 5 stars it's been given. This place reminds me of Anjela Johnson, the comedian. I literally got asked if I have boyfriend and if I wanted dip manicure (gel is no longer the thing!) a hundred times... haha I came in for a basic manicure and gel toes ($35 + $15 extra). I finally gave in and said yes to the dip nails ($40). While nails came out great, I wouldn't come back just because no hand massage with the dip nails and the consistent upsell!!! read more

I'll start by saying I've been here only twice. Once on my birthday and spent about $100. The guy who did my toes was nice the guy who did my nails seems frustrated and I tried not to allow it to ruin my day. The second time I went the girl at the front told me I need to get a full new set( 2 weeks passed) and I knew I only needed a fill in but just agreed. Then she kept trying to convince me to do something different then what I wanted again! That was very annoying. To the point I called my boyfriend just to talk to get her from talking to me.. that didn't work! She kept going on and on..even my boy got annoyed about it. I finally told her "Okay, I'll just do it. What's the cost difference?" ... about $50!! At this point I was very confused why you would try to convince a customer to do something completely different knowing they may not like it with such a jump in price. I told her I'd stick to what I wanted. She got upset and started speaking in another language. I brushed it off. I had a guy start on my toes and he was very very nice. Well mannered! The lady came back to do my nails while I was getting my pedicure and she then told me that I needed to hurry up and decide what I wanted because she needed to go. I was taken back because I already decided and told her. Also why was she telling me she needed to go? So I nicely said yes I'm not changing my mind again I'm sure that's what I want. She stormed off speaking another language... AGAIN. Then came back with something to soak my nails off. A second after putting my fingers in my my fingers were on FIREEEE!!! I kept taking it out every few seconds to see if I was getting burned she yelled at me saying I already want to do something that takes long and now I'm taking too long. I told her again In a very calm tone ( as annoyed as I was) it was burning my fingers. She started yelling at me that it wasn't burning me. I asked her how would she know if something is burning ME?! How? She started causing a scene saying she knows and she wants to go home and I have to hurry up now because she wants to go home to her kids. I got quiet because my blood was boiling. I was being very nice to her the entire time. Then she insinuates that I can't afford to do the service she suggested and this is Arkansas not New York. Again idk why anything she said was brought up. I mentioned I was from NY but I know that me being from there means I have to be extra nice to ppl because they assume the worst. Idk if it was a racist thing or what but.. I told her that it's ok it would be better if she didn't do my nails at all. She sighed in relief said good and stormed off. The guy doing my toes apologized over and over but she didn't. The next day I was going on vacation and to my surprise that weekend I got engaged and it made sense why my boyfriend really wanted me to get my nails done because he had plans. So my nails wasn't done and I got screamed at. She never apologized or acknowledged that I was a unhappy customer. Ppl fail to realize.. you should treat everyone equally and insure the best customer service. I own 3 businesses I could of paid for everyone to get their nails in there but I was accused of being unable to pay for something I didn't even want. Screamed at and embarrassed. My customers are my bread and butter and I guess people forgot that if they don't have customers they wouldn't have a job. Obviously I will not be returning and I will def not recommend this place. If anything I will give ppl a recommendation as to NOT EVER go here. read more

I've been to this nail salon 3 times, each visit was pleasant. The salon is very clean and bright an they always do a great job. I've had pedicures, manicures and dipped nails done here and have absolutely no complaints about the quality of work. I tend to spend more money here than I do at other nail salons; I'm not sure if it's because they are just a bit higher than other salons I use or because they are so persistent with their upsells that I always end up getting an extra service. read more

I got a pedicure here last week and it was great. My friend made the appointment and they were ready for us when we got there. They had one of my favorite colors, so we were off to a good start. I picked the deluxe pedicure option which included a mango mandarin orange soak and scrub. The foot and calf massage was great too, that is my favorite part of a pedicure so it has to be good! The price was reasonable as well. I will definitely come back for a pedicure and probably a manicure. My friend got a "organic" manicure so I definitely want to look into that. read more
