We scheduled an appointment for 3:30, didn't get started until 4:30 and it felt rushed. However - they always do a great job!

I cannot recommend this salon after my experience. During my manicure, my technician, MIA, lost control of the e-file and cut my finger on both sides and across the front, tearing the skin and causing it to bleed. What upset me even more than the injury was how it was handled. My technician never stopped to clean my finger and simply continued the service. There was no apology or concern shown. Before leaving, I spoke with them expecting at least an acknowledgment of what had happened. Instead, the incident was dismissed. There was no apology, no discount, and no attempt to make things right. My family spent nearly $250 during this visit. My 7-year-old granddaughter was charged over $56 to polish her natural fingernails and toenails, which also came as a surprise. I understand accidents can happen. What I cannot accept is a business showing no concern after a customer is injured. Customer service is measured by how problems are handled, and unfortunately this salon failed in that regard. I LOVE coming here. The spot is so clean and the workers are all kind and fast! I've always been able to get an appointment by just calling in my way in. I personally have been going to Jamie for 3 months now. She's so good and does great nail art too! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I found this nail salon on Instagram because they did cool nail art. I had never done nail art before or any type of acrylic, so I was nervous. Upon going there, the staff was all very nice and patient in helping explain to me what different types of nails were. I ended up going with a simple design but knew I had to come back. I have come back multiple times since then and have even brought my mom and sister in. They do SUCH great nail art and make you feel so comfortable! Every person that I have worked with has been kind and hilarious. I can't imagine going anywhere else for nails now! Our favorite place was closed, this was our first visit and my last visit to this salon Nails were half done. Service was rude the young lady didn't say a word to me. Service was also delayed by probably 10 minutes. I was wanting a purplish sparkle color and the first person who greeted us put a blue polish on the table and said here's your color. When it came my turn the other person had to go get another color. It was more of a pink!!! I just let them do it, it was clear they were in a big hurry and not paying attention to the customer. My husband and I left with cream between our toes from the worst pedicure we have ever had. It was my first time at this nail salon. I should have trusted my gut and ran out of there. I got a male nail tech that was extremely unprofessional, rude, and argumentative. I was getting tips with acrylic and gel overlay. I watched as the tech struggled with the acrylic application. Shaping was a joke. He stated he was falling asleep! He made my nails uneven and lop sided. I noticed that on one of my nails that the tip wasn't even attached to my real nail. I pointed this out and the nail tech said it was because my nail is crooked. No, it's not my nail it's the tip. I've had my nails done expertly for years. If I left this, water would get under the tip and cause bacteria. I asked the nail tech to remove the acrylic and start over. He threw a temper tantrum and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Throwing the Emory board, complaining to his coworker, then he went outside to smoke and returned with an even worse attitude. He slapped on the gel polish uneven and sloppy. When I brought my concerns to his attention he started cursing at me and even went to the other side of the salon to yell at me and berate me. So unprofessional. I stayed calm and collected and asked, would you pay for this? The "owner" came over and said she'd fix it. I declined because I've run out of time and have to get home to my kid. And frankly I don't need to be disrespected as I have! Then she wanted me to return at 8am, umm no it's my day off and I will be getting my nails fixed elsewhere! No apology or acknowledgment of the horrible mail job nor the attitude of her employee. They still proceeded to charge me $45!! No morals or ethics nor business management skills, DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!! Run!!! This was my first time at Shining. I came in for a pedicure. I have never been to a nail salon with such poor, unprofessional customer service. The lady doing my nails never really said hi or asked how I was, seemed like she didn't want to be there. She was making more of an effort to talk to her coworkers complaining of how tired she was and said two curse words to herself (loud enough for me to hear) while I was trying to relax and enjoy a nice pedicure. My pedicure was okay. I am mainly disappointed in the negative atmosphere and lack of professionalism. If I'm paying over $50 for a pedicure, I should be treated in more respected way and the people working there need to learn how to show up to work and fulfill their role in a human services profession. If you are there to provide a service to people, we should feel welcome and not like another hassle to your day. That is what I felt like today. read more

So my sweet sis gave me a gift card for here. Yes, the lady was nice who did my nails. But attention to detail would have been even better. I had the sea salt pedicure done, and with it callouses are to be treated and worked on. However, that was not the case. I still had to work on them when I got home. Nail polish job was only subpar, and manicure was a dip powder. I know this takes technique, but many of my nails were missing color or "polish" on the sides, and the top edge of several of my nails do not have as much color on them as the rest of the nails do. I did not realize this, maybe I had too much trust in the nail tech, and so did not check my nails until after I'd left the salon. I actually called my husband crying because I was so upset about it- that's bad on me for not checking my nails first. Maybe it was just that one nail tech, but it was enough for me not to want to go back to this salon again. read more

I will never be returning. This place is TERRIBLE. To start off we booked an appointment at 11:00Am we didn't even get started untill 11:30 First red flag then i ask for a trim on my toes and they look like i took colored duck tape and glued it on my toes. My friend and I got acrylics and a good short length we asked for rounded tips and no we got knifes. He burned my skin and cut my skin to shreds to where pink gunk was coming out as well as blood. I ripped my nails back and the lady next to us said well you should have said something l. The design on my nails isn't even want i asked for. My thumb looks like the graph I make in math. They were traning there worker to do nails as he went he kept looking very close at my nails and acting like he was biting i was scared he want about to eat my fingers. I was there for a soak off and then dip on my natural nails. It took the nail tech 1.5 hours to complete this. Along the way he messed up 4 times and seemed to not know what he was doing. He continuously filed and drilled my skin, and there is dip glued to my fingers all around my nails.
