I worked with Mr. Anthony Luna at Vivid Racing to purchase my 19" HRE FlowForm FF01's in optional IPA Finish, for my MK6 GTI, just a few months ago. I had EXTENSIVELY shopped every online retailer, and Vivid offered the best pricing by a narrow margin. I found one site that grossly mis-advertised their price and I sought for Vivid to match it. It was clearly less than half their cost, but Anthony worked with me to work out the best "realistic deal". The attentiveness and service that came with my transaction, I would have paid more for than other competitors, in hindsight. I really lucked out and made the right choice. Anthony engaged the folks at HRE and kept me completely informed throughout the whole process. I knew precisely where my order was at all times, and Anthony tolerated my constant nagging, with a great attitude. It's hard to handle my "intensity" and "need to know" approach sometimes. He managed to turn around a custom wheel order, in the middle of a pandemic, in a fraction of the time that was to be expected. This was initiated during the "Stay at Home" order in California. And delivered shortly thereafter. While HRE was running with a ghost team. My HRE's are BEAUTIFUL, and I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Anthony and Vivid. When we opened the boxes we where shocked to see that they where NOT what she ordered being the complete wrong colours. Upset and obviously frustrated she tried to get onto the team who was quick to sell them to her but have not gotten back to her about fixing their mistake. She even sent photos of the exact wheels in the colours she wanted. They have been ignoring her emails and avoiding her calls saying they are "on break" or "in meetings" every time she calls. Nightmare if you order your wheels on their website. When you inquire about the wheel you like before purchase, they say they are available and will ship in 3 months. After 3 months the salesperson says the wheels are about to land, and then complete loss of communication. If you call their support team, they just put you on hold and then transfer you to the salesperson who is never present. They will not reply to your support tickets or emails. As a fraud, it is kind of clumsy. Talk to your lawyer and bank for your order, not their support team. read more

Bought a double front grill to make my Subaru crosstrek look a bit less dorky. Took over two weeks for it to get to my place - an issue that was solely due to FedEx, not on VividRacing. Though I think installation instructions should be available to view prior to purchase, just so you know what you're getting yourself into prior to buying, the product looks solid and I was able to install the grills even with my mediocre automotive knowledge and resources. Big shoutout to Tanner C. in customer service who was able to "light a fire" at FedEx and get the product to me after FedEx had "deemed the package lost" for about a week. Car looks great! But seriously folks, I sincerely recommend that no one waste another cent on this business/third rate drop shipper. I'm thrilled for those of you who said you had a positive experience. Kudos. Every business has a misstep, a dropped ball, a miscommunication, a customer who can't be pleased. That is not what we have here. This is a pattern. This is standard operating procedure. This is a business model. We are just about at the one year mark from the day we paid Vivid Racing $2500 for wheels. The salesman was upfront about the fact that they were being made in and shipped from Japan, which clearly takes time. When the wheels arrived about 5 months later and were installed, they caused the car to vibrate at high speeds. We did everything to troubleshoot the issue on our end, aided by a certified national installer, because Vivid Racing takes no responsibility for the products they sell. We paid our money to them and then they washed their hands of us and acted like our issue was with the manufacturer. There was, and still is, absolutely no accountability. They actually recommended we ship the wheels back to Japan (at our expense, of course) so the manufacturer could confirm that there was nothing wrong with them and then we could pay to have unusable wheels sent back to us. I know that sounds like I'm making it up, but it's a real thing they suggested. In writing. In reviewing the invoice recently, we noticed that the specs noted on the invoice are wrong. When we made Vivid Racing aware of this fact, they actually said the invoice was a typo and the wheels wouldn't even be able to be installed on our car with those specs. A very simple google search about what happens if you put this spec of wheel on this car, reveals an overwhelming consensus that the wheels will fit, but it will be a poor fit and will make the car shake. You know. Like our car is shaking. An effing google search. The salesman was just straight talking out of his ass, making it up as he went along. The really disappointing (but not surprising) thing is that a customer service lead and the director of sales were both included on the email chain and neither one spoke up to say to the salesman 'hey bro. I'm not sure you're right about that.' To summarize, we bought custom, non refundable wheels. The wheels they ordered are the wrong size for our car and not safe to use. The salesman, sales director and customer service lead are all standing around with their fingers in their ears chanting 'non refundable, non refundable, we can't hear you, we can't hear you.' So now we'll take legal action. It's fine, though. I'm in just the mood. Everyone reading this should know there are federal, consumer protection laws. Every new item sold by a retailer in the United States comes with an IMPLIED WARRANTY. That includes custom and non-refundable items. The retailer of any new item implies that the item will work properly and be of average grade and quality, as long as it is used for the purposes it was sold. Know your rights. I know it's a stressful pain in the ass, but they're hoping enough of us will decide it's not worth the time and effort. Please note that in addition to all the clearly visible reviews, Yelp has another 600 or so 'unrecommended reviews' that were not considered when tabulating Vivid's overall rating. It looks like they are mostly one star reviews from people who created a Yelp account specifically to share their negative experiences with Vivid Racing. Very disappointing customer service. I ordered items from Vivid back on July 8th, 2024. Over the course of almost 3 months they would let me know periodically the estimated ship date from the manufacturer when I emailed them. Last week I got an email from their customer service stating the manufacturer discontinued the items. That's fine, I wasn't tickled about it, but I had them order me substitution items as a replacement. I finally received the replacement items only to discover they are the wrong part and won't fit. They admitted to me the sales rep or the wrong parts and they would send the correct replacement items...as soon as they got the return items, and confirmed they were on fact the wrong items! Why would I send back the same exact times I'm going to get as a replacement, only different size, if they were the correct items in the first place? I asked for nothing, nor was I offered anything in return. So after almost 3 months of them having my money, they send replacement items only to send the wrong size. Instead of sending out the correct replacement items right away and apologizing for the issue, they told me they would send the correct items only after they received the wrong items they sent me in the first place. I hardly got so much as an apology let alone and offer to sent out the proper items as soon as possible. I understand they don't want to get stuck holding the bag, especially if it was my fault or my mistake, but I did nothing wrong. I have to pay the price by waiting even longer for items I paid for almost 3 months ago because of their mistake. They could have immediately gotten the correct items out to me instead of making me wait for their returns department to create return labels, me to return them, them to confirm the items (which they already knew they were wrong), then contact the manufacturer to send out the correct items to me. So add another 2 weeks, give or take, to get my correct items. It makes sense that companies like Flowmaster, aFe, and Borla sell their products on their own websites and not just exclusively to retailers. I'm just a little guy and probably don't matter that much to Vivid Racing with my relative small dollar amount purchases in the whole scheme of things, but I for sure will reconsider making any future purchases with them. read more

Unfortunately I didn't do my research before ordering parts from this company. Order a set of 4 wheel for my 67 beetle. Opened the first box to find a dent in the lip of the wheel by valve stem opening. Have been trying to to call and email with no response. I have now called the manufacturer of the wheels to inform them and have had to buy a replacement wheel. An extra $200+... Thanks vivid racing. I clearly wanted and asked for liquid bronze for the deep dish/lip colour and received silver. Even after sending multiple emails and pictures of what I wanted to make sure it was what I got. I have sent multiple emails and even called them asking for answers and a resolution to the matter. On one occasion I got a hold of Chris one of the managers there seemed shocked that I had called him from Australia and as scattered and unorganised as he seemed told me he would find a resolution to the matter and that "this has never happened before." Still have not heard back from them. They are quick to sell you shi* and completely ignore and avoid you when there is an issue. read more

This company's customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not answer their customer service lines and take weeks to respond. Additionally, getting a refund from the when they are out of stock on parts they market as in stock will be almost impossible. I have been asking for a refund (due to them being unable to fulfill an order) since July 12th, 2021 and they still have not issued the money back. There is no way to contact a person directly as they do not answer their customer service lines. Their email response times take at least 72 hours or more...even weeks. Do yourself a favor and purchase your parts from a different merchant. I ordered a set of wheels from vivid racing. 3 days after my order I called to verify that my order could be fulfilled(I was going to buy sand tires for these specific size and offset wheels. A nice lady answered and put me on hold so she could call the manufacture. She came back and Told me yes my order will be fulfilled but it will be 2 months. I spent ~$700 on sand tires base on this conversation. About a week or so later I get a generic email that asked if my order was delivered. I called them and a man told me the company no longer makes these wheels. I was very upset and asked hi, what a, I supposed to do I already spent $700 since I was told it would arrive in 2 months. He told me he would see if he can find something else and call me back. he never called back and I got an email saying they have canceled my order at my request. Which was a total lie. I email them back to say that was tell them I did not request a cancellation. they ignored my email and send methis reply "We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. Our team is working hard on getting your order through our system. We have updated your order (#11111111) at Vivid Racing with the following status of, Cancellation Requested." I purchased a j-tube for a turbo i had previously purchased from them after several weeks to finally receive the item I realized they had charged my credit card twice for the item 9/20/2023 and 10/03/2023 for $159.00 both times. I called ant talked to Brett and sent him copies of my credit card statement, I called him approximately called him 20 times over the 2 months each time saying he would take care of it and call me back not once did I receive a call from him. on 12/15/2023 I was finally able to talk to a manager Kelly Herring which I also sent him the documents on 12/12023 he emailed me that they only charged me once and there was nothing they could do.(even after seeing the proof that they charged me twice) read more

Sounds like we were in the same boat with some of the others on here with getting royally screwed over after having the wrong part sent to us. Apparently their policy states something about not having to pay shipping costs. But when the wrong part is sent to us via third party company and we have to pay out of our own pocket to send it back due to a mistake made by a third party company, I just don't understand why they are okay with that. This is a follow up on a phone call 2 days ago  I made regarding your email that stated that you were cancelling my order of the K & N intake around 3/31/21.  After I got that email I contacted K & N directly in Calif where I live & after talking to a sales rep was told that the 69-1009TP @ $199.99 would be available in the near future. Being in no hurry, I then had the K&N sales rep cancel my online order for the 69-1009TWR unit @$249.99 that was in stock & was told to periodically check for availability.  About a week ago I received a  package from K&N and assumed that they had shipped me the 69-1009TP using the payment info I had used for the other intake I had cancelled. I took the unit to have installed by my mechanic @ Mike's Auto Service on University Ave in Berkeley CA. When I got home I checked to see the new "chrome" intake & was very surprised that it was the red one I had cancelled from K&N (mainly due to it's higher price). Doing some online investigations I couldn't find any charges from K&N. After more searching I saw a charge from Vivid for  #268769 on my  Paypal account for $273.11??  I had been emailed that the order had been Cancelled. I was very confused. I was waiting through K&N directly to purchase the chrome unit.  When I spoke to your rep a few days ago, he asked if I wanted to return the intake you mistakenly sent. I told him it would cost me even more $ to have it removed & have the original reinstalled while waiting for the chrome unit from K&N to then be installed. He said he had documented all this info. I suggested that Vivid, in order to fix this,  simply refund $50. He said I would be contacted by a supervisor. I am waiting.. "Manager" without a name....Since you haven't yet responded after 5 days I'm guessing that you don't intend to do the honest thing to make up for your terrible communication & mistake.  So disappointing that you're so petty.  Check Yelp not that you care read more

I also received an email from them stating it was back ordered until May. In May, I received emails from both companies stating the shipping date was pushed back by the manufacturer until 7/8. On 7/8, Lethal Performance shipped the part. However, Vivid Racing sent an email stating that the shipping date was now pushed back by the manufacturer until 8/8. On 8/12, I call Vivid Racing about the status of the order. They now say the shipping date was pushed back to next month. Why was Lethal Performance able to obtain the part from the manufacturer on 7/8, but Vivid Racing has not, even though I ordered the part from them several weeks before the other? Online ordering feels like a scam. Be careful trying to move through their process to find an estimated delivery date on what you want to purchase. I tried that and it just checked out. I wrote them trying to cancel. I was even open to keeping the order if the products were estimated to get here on time for a trip I'm taking. I made a online purchase. It said 7% off for first time order. I assumed it would be applied at checkout. It wasn't, I called customer service which did apply the discount but was told one item was not in stock and would have to come from the manufacturer. Then I was told the shipping cost would double and I was responsible for the extra cost. Why does the site no mention the item is not in stock or that it would cost extra,?
