Mark and Ken are amazing. I'd hired someone who was cheap and said all the right stuff on the phone but made a mess of the job. These guys are smart, conscientious, and thorough. Some issues arose that weren't covered in the quote and they worked several hours over but only charged me for one. At every stage they laid out all the options with all the pro's and cons. For the service they provide their prices are really reasonable. Having felt jerked around by other salesmen and install guys, it was a relief and a pleasure to work with Vivid. Yelp did not fail me! Ken & Mark were awesome to work with from the quote process through the completion of work. Very responsive, quick to schedule an appointment and did high quality, clean work. I had them clean up a wire mess on a tricky stone fireplace set up, install a sound bar, mount a TV and they will be relocating a bunch of wireless contraptions to a closet for me. But if memory serves correct, they came to our condo and inspected an already-installed-by-previous-owner-5.1-surround-system whereby we needed to purchase the proper equipment to utilize it fully. They provided us with a range of options and gave us their recommendations for our specific set-up. We went with their suggestions and, now over a year later, everything still works and sounds spectacular! They were professional yet friendly and casual, which i prefer. At the time of this review, Vivid Visuals and Sound has 14 reviews and they're all 5 stars. That tells you about all you need to know, especially in a service-type industry where there's almost always some percentage of crazy people who just like to complain. Anyway, the point is that Ken and Mark are great - both in competency and customer service. If you live in their territory, you'd be crazy to look elsewhere. I initially requested their services to mount a 55" tv and soundbar. They did such a great job and were so pleasant to work with that I asked them to stick around and mount a second TV. Both installations went great; cords perfectly hidden in the wall, power strip cleanly mounted, mess cleaned up, etc. I would have been happy right there but they went the extra mile and stuck around to calibrate the TV's to ensure I was getting the most from my setup. Ken and Mark are the absolute best! I met them several years ago while they were installing equipment in my house for a tenant of mine and let me say that was the best thing that ever went down with that guy! He turned out to be a night mere but these guys were more than worth the hassle!! I am a well known interior designer, design producer and on camera expert in the design field and Would NEVER use anyone else. They have even appeared on several of my shows They are very fair and reasonably priced and are not interested in up sell or bait and switch once they give you your options and quote. On a side note, they are more than enjoyable to be around and I have never had a complaint outside of they may make you laugh a whole lot if you have a good sense of humor! STOP SEARCHING, SCROLL UP TO THEIR NUMBER AND CALL THEM. honestly, i cannot imagine a world where somebody would have any sort of criticism for these guys. if my wife was cool with it, id have them move in to the guest room and just constantly improve and upgrade and recalibrate and whatever to every media based electronic in our house. i would buy new appliances every week until our house looked like a best buy just to give them more projects. speaking of best buy- these guys came in and undid every ridiculous, sloppy and superfluous thing that the geek squad did when initially setting up both our entire home theatre and living room entertainment centers. we have everything from sonos to a 3d projector and STILL had no idea the expansive quality potential we've been blindly sitting on the past few years. and their prices are spot on. these guys are fair. if there's any surprise at all when they bill you, its the surprise of not getting screwed. true story- i almost added fifty bucks when i wrote ken the check today because he absolutely deserved it and completely undercharged me. but then i remembered how cheap i am so i didnt. then i felt guilty so i wrote this review. i always wonder if yelp reviews like this are written by people with some sort of connection to said business. i have none. i found them on yelp just like you did. i wish we knew each other so youd just trust me and call. I would give them 10 starts if I could!! Ken and Mark are genuine pros!!! And we should know. My husband and I have suffered through one inadequate stereo installation after another. Our entertainment system has never really worked properly. Our speakers were not correctly balanced, our movies wouldn't download, everyone kept blaming our equipment, tell us that we needed newer and more expensive receivers. It was NONE of that. The only thing wrong was that they weren't being installed properly. Now we get gorgeous sound and our movie download in a flash. Our High Def is even working!! Mark told me last time he was here that you can't let your queue fill with recordings because, when it gets too full, the files become compressed to store them and you lose a lot of quality. I never knew that!! I wouldn't look any further. You can hire Mark and Ken with 100% confidence. They are also fast and efficient and such a pleasure to have around :-) read more

Ken and Mark far exceeded my expectations for installing my TV on my wall. I live in an old building and the chances for the wall to crack were pretty high. Also, my flat screen is quite old and weighs a ton! I have had my TV on my wall for almost a year and haven't had one issue. The install was perfect--no cracks, they centered the TV perfectly on my wall, they were fast and not one cord is visible.
