I don't understand why there's so many negative reviews. We had our system installed a few days ago. From the very first time I called to get a quote, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly! Our tech was awesome that installed our system. It is very easy to work and legit. My husband accidentally set the alarm off forgetting it was armed and we got an alert and phonecall seconds later. Do not go with this company unless you want to be lied to. Techs will tell the company they came to your house for service when they never show up. All vivint will do is tell you that they are sorry for that. read more

Vivint sucks. Worst customer service ever. I call and never a return call from Supervisor as promised. Steer clear from this company.

First of all, the representative kept constantly coming to my house and basically harassing my parents if I was home which I was not due to having a busy schedule. When he finally got a hold of me, he could see I was not interested in the system as I have been with another company for years. Before I even had the option to verbally say I wasn't interested he kept pushing and pushing and didn't give me a chance to speak. He could see my family wasn't interested either so to stop him from talking and harassing my family, we tried the 3 day trial (which we did not like) I called the representative to let him know I was not satisfied with the equipment and I would like for them to come remove the equipment. Instead of coming to remove it, He talked bad about ADT and other business (which is a RED flag) and kept pushing me to stay when I CLEARLY told him I did not want too. I went straight to Corporate and they canceled it for me but now I'm waiting to get my FULL REFUND & for a tech to come out & get the equipments. It's been almost a month! Ok let's start by saying first and for most they pushed there sale with about 17 missed calls to my wife and i a piece after we finally decide to go ahead with this company the nightmare began first of all they came out at 8 am to install on my wife's birthday said the install would take 2 hours lol try 12 and half they were here till 830 pm then after all that the tech left without my doorbell camera working when I asked him about it he claimed we were not getting the correct voltage to the doorbell whitch to me should have been checked with a volt meter before the install im a tech always check your sources before you even start an installation so after him being here for 12 hours his suggestion was to Google it or YouTube it its an easy fix lol unbelievable so I call back three times spend multiple hours on the phone getting all these different reps with them saying they can get it fixxed so they send out another recognition he was here 5 minutes said he's not an electrition not his problem so today I call back again asked them if we can just start over im moving in 30 days so if the house is the issue if that's even possible can we install over there and just cancel service tempararly till we move they in informed me i would be charged 200 dollars mind you i got this service april 20th so 2 weeks ago and no doorbell service period since then so then I say is like to cancel well when we were sold they said 30 day cancellation for free if your mot satisfied well cone to find out its really only 3 days so now if we cancel they want 1000 dollars for the equipment so now we are stuck either keep it or pay the 10000 so we are keeping it they knocked a 100 off the move installation so now we have to pay them to do an installation again that was never working correctly in the 1st place the camera that does works great the other stuff does as week there techs are rude and carefree and far as calling them they will knock a little off here and there but my advise would be do some major research before going with any of these companies this was our first experience with any security company and its aweful and still not over till we move and then we can see if they can get it done correct but still costing me a hundred out of pocket im am contacting the better buisness beuro and i have called the local news and news paper plus we are working with some other unsatisfied customer's to see if we can get a petition going and get this to our governors attention we felt totally taken advantage of and very in odd way robbed by the company we contacted to keep us protected from being robbed so that's about it and that's our story i was really hoping for better customer service but in the end we just got screwed over......... so today is the day after I made this first review so now they say i was not getting enough power to my doorbell so I go spend 30 out of pocket on equipment pay an electrician to install the box they recommended the electrition said there was no meed to the power source was getting enough power to run the doorbell its pushing 16 v so anyways I put a 24v just to make sure so we turned the power off to wire in the brew transformer now there system disconnected from my Wi-Fi the tech o the phone could not get it to connect to the router they provided so after another 45 minutes on the phone they are sending out another tech my 3rd tech in 2 weeks service has still never worked properly now we are completely down till tomorrow with zero service so im going to talk to a lawyer tomorrow i have completely exhausted myself with calling this company its pathetic how they operate something needs to be done its beyond out of control worst company i have eber dealt with in 42 years on this earth period!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok so now its days later this is my 3rd time editing this review becuse theres more happening today may 5th my service still not worling since april 20th a rech was suppost to be here between 12 and four todat i took the day so cost me 160 pay from work to be home so I call to see if the technitiom is close to being here they inform me he cancelled the job no call from him or the company itself i had to call spend another 45 minutes on the phone so they say we will know another 50 off your bill mind i took a whole day of so I lost 110 even with there month free and i also have to take a whole nother day off to be here again so the technitiom van show maybe????? Please don't hold you breath because I'm definitely not and if anyone is thinking of dealing with this company save yourself the hell I have dealt with there are to many companies out there that probably are professional in my opinion these guys get away with this due to holding a contract over your head they said if a cancell i still have to pay them a 1000 dollars even though my service has not worked since I have got this service and there attitude is pretty much low concern read more

I have been 100% satisfied with our security system since it was installed in July. The sales rep was friendly, straight forward and tried to do everything he could to get us the best rate for what we wanted. The rate has been consistent with what we were told, no surprises. The installers came out the same evening as the sales rep and got us set-up in a matter of an hour. Even with a few bugs that still needed to be worked out, the tech came out the day after we called about the problems, got them fixed and we weren't charged. We've had a few false alarms with officers dispatched and knowing how quickly they got there (10 minutes) made me feel good (and horrible since it was a false alarm). Customer service has always been easy to work with and reach. I feel so much safer with this system. Highly recommend! read more

I am writing a very positive review for Bryce Jones of Vivint Solar. Mr. Jones was one of three solar companies I had out to give me an estimate for putting a solar unit on my home. He was able to do what I asked (East-West Panel display) and had it installed in record breaking time. He also has come back to check with me concerning any concerns that I had several times. He is a very good salesman. PG&E however seems to be dragging their feet in coming out to install a new meter so that I can turn on my solar unit. read more

The system is great! I love the automatic door locks, my kids leave their keys sometimes so I love how I can unlock the door from my phone! Also, I love being able to pull up video feed from my phone to look at whats going on in my house. Amazing product! read more

My problems started when my alarm would falsely trigger. Then, it would trigger a false alarm every other day or so. I called the company, they transferred me over to the tech department and they tried to remedy it over the phone. I tried what they recommended, but I continued to have false alarms. I was even fined by the police department for too many false alarms in one year. Vivint took care of that only after I went to court to fight it and they suggested I contact Vivint to see if they had a policy for false alarms. They wanted to charge me to come to my house to check but since the alarm was clearly the fault of Vivint, I demanded they send a tech to fix the problem for free. They scheduled me for a time to go to my house in which I had to take time off from work or else wait 2 months for a convenient time for me. Needless to say, they never showed up! No phone call, no nothing. I called them and they said we sent someone there. . . (Hello, I was home all frikkin' day). They scheduled another time that was convenient for me now, but a couple days later I got a message on my phone saying they had to cancel that one and they would send someone on a day in which I could not make it and if I could not be there then I would have to wait another two months because I would be put in the back of the waiting list. Never again would I do business with Vivint or their subsidiaries. Watch out for the sales pitch in which they try to scare you with a bogus key bumping news story, the 4 year commitment, and the sorry tech dept. If I could get out of my contract without penalty, I would! Zero stars is more like it!! read more
