Let me start off by saying that even if you don't fully read this, you should use Top Notch Carpet…read morecleaning, because they are just that good! Anyways, before today I had not had my carpets cleaned since I moved into our home over 3 years ago. I honestly didn't really think about professionally cleaning the carpets because I had not needed to think about it prior to this home (oops, my bad! I'll keep up on it now!) I'm sure everyone did the same thing before choosing who they wanted to go with to clean their carpets (searching the many options/reviews that appear on google), because there are quite a few out there, and its hard to know what a reasonable price is, and what the service should look like from start to finish if you have not done it before! (You can stop looking now that you're reading this review :p) I was looking through, and came across Top Notch Carpet Cleaning, and I honestly couldn't have made a better decision. Steps I took before day of service- - Went onto their website and looked at their service options (They make it super easy to build your own quote online) - I chose to book an appt and choose specific areas, sizes, and the type of cleaning I wanted - I then chose an available time and booked the appt all online within a matter for maybe 5min (After you choose the type and area size you want cleaned, it gives you a price for the service too!) Prepping the spaces being cleaned before the service! I made sure to vacuum the spaces I was having cleaned before the day of service (I recommend reading their pre appt email that tells you how to prep the space prior to their arrival ( I assume this just helps with the flow of your service and ensures that their tools don't get clogged or something. But either way, if it helps them day of, the areas will be vacuumed! I will note that once your service day comes, they will look at the areas to make sure they aline with the options you chose (which is super helpful, because I kind of guessed sqft areas in bedrooms that had things like furniture that took up sqft space) and will discount a little if you chose too big of a space, and add if you underestimated the space. If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading and I hope the remainder of this review helps you choose who you'd like to clean your carpets! We have come to the day of service! I received a text the night before letting me know what time he would arrive the following day, and I also received a text the morning of telling me how far out he was, which was very helpful for me so that I could make sure my animals were put away! Once James arrived he was very nice, and took a look at the areas I wanted cleaned, and also looked around the carpet for pet stains with a black light. (yikes! I may have to invest in a blacklight now haha!) Anyways, the blacklight was MUCH needed. James was very thorough during initial looks, and then got to work! I'm honestly writing this as he works because I have the time, and also wanted to be very thorough with this review because up until this point, I am super happy with the service. Update- Service has finished. The carpets look as new as the first time I saw them when the house was new! I can't say enough good things about James, and the service he provided. A dump truck hit our house last week. Our neighbor is building a house in the field next to our…read morehouse, up on an incline. He was excavating the basement and the emergency brakes failed on the truck. It rolled down the hill and knocked a massive hole in our daylight basement. No-one was hurt but our basement looked like a bomb went off. There was glass and rubble everywhere. Our family room is about 800 square feet. Glass shards were embedded in the wall 18 feet across from the foundation wall. It was a dangerous space to walk through, and nearly every piece of furniture and all of the electronics were completely destroyed. A dump truck hitting your house is a traumatic event. You feel like you've been violated. I found it hard to pick my way through the family room without crying. Our insurance company recommended ServiceMaster and our adjuster gave them a call. Troy, the manager called me right away, and came out the next day to look at the damage. He gave me some good advice about listing damaged personal items for the insurance company and he made sure that I had taken pictures of the space. Troy asked if they should remove the carpet, but I didn't want them to, as the upper floor is being shored up with some beams and I don't want to disturb them. He took the time to ask about and listen to my expectations to ensure they were met. He also explained the process. They scheduled me for the next morning. Andrew, Brad and Richard showed up on time and within 2 hours, they took my bombed out room and turned it back to as normal as it can be (due to structural damage, we will have to gut it and have the foundation re-poured). Before they started, they also checked to make sure I had taken pictures for my insurance company. They were so friendly and thoughtful and thorough. I feel so much peace being able to walk through that room now. Obviously, there is still a big hole in the wall, but I can be in the space and feel hopeful and that means the world to me.
