The first one I tasted is a blanc to noir named Domino. It sells for about $14 US and it is appropriatly priced. There's a certain sweetness at first but at the end there's a bit of bitterness. This could go well with shrimp pasta or some shellfish. The next wine I've tasted the blend of red grapes Domino. And retails for about $17. This one would be good for pizza or a light red meat. It also starts quite sweet and at the end has a little bit of bitterness. The third one is called Pies de Tierra, and it is their best seller. It is a blend of tempranillo and Sirah. It retails for about $24. it is a very good wine, very easy to drink, and very smooth the main flavor that comes from the wines from the Tempranillo grapes. They did a good job on this one.

You have to drive at least 5 miles just to find other restaurants or attractions, and it's about 14 miles to Ensenada if you want more options. The hotel only has one restaurant currently open, and while it was convenient, the food was overpriced for what it offered. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself felt a bit neglected. There were several maintenance issues, including a broken toilet paper holder and a broken shampoo/conditioner dispenser that wasn't replaced until the following day. The paint in the room didn't match in several areas, and overall it could use some upkeep. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the property was extremely dusty, making it difficult to enjoy being outside, so we ended up staying indoors most of the time. We also booked a room advertised with a "valley view," but our view was mostly trees and a ditch, which was disappointing and not what we expected. On the positive side, the room itself was modern, clean, and nicely designed inside. With a few minor repairs and better maintenance, it could be an excellent place to stay. The hotel was also very quiet, which made for a peaceful atmosphere, although the room had great AC. Overall, I would rate Casa Frida 3 out of 5 stars. It has potential thanks to its friendly staff

Our group of 12 arrived and we waited a bit to be seated, which is fine. It is a small winery and they only have one large table. Gerardo was working that day. He seems nice but he didn't tell us much about the winery or the wines he was pouring. We had to ask him questions about their grapes and wine making process. The tasting room was very cute and comfortable. Their wines were ok. None of them really jumped out at me so I ended up not buying anything. The wines were good. My friend fell in love with the first one, a white whose name apparently meant LOVE in the local dialect. Very on brand for her. ‍ We also tried their cheese breads - they had savoury and sweet options. I was team savoury while my friend was all about the sweet because balance, right? We've been coming to Valle de Guadalupe ("VdG") for about 15 years now, however this was only our second visit to Las Nubes Bodegas y Viñedos. Oscar poured for us this time and we had another wonderful experience. The winery itself sits high up on the hillside on the north side of the valley and affords patrons with amazing views across the vineyards, valley floor, and surrounding mountains. You can sit inside or on their expansive deck with many umbrellas and trellis covered seating areas. Their wines are among our favorites in VdG and the service is excellent. They offer charcuterie boards, sandwiches, oysters, truffled popcorn, cookies, and fruit tarts to pair with your wine selections. Las Nubes is truly a must experience winery when visiting VdG.

The ambiance is wonderful - it's a beautiful winery. We thought the tour was one of the best winery tours we've had off a cruise ship. I do think there probably need to be folding chairs in the dark rooms where the media plays for older passengers on the cruise ships. If you have trouble standing and take the tour I'm sure they could get you a chair if you mention you need one in advance.

We started in their cozy tasting room with a nice pour of Sauvignon Blanc. We then made our way through down to the beautiful cellar and private tasting room. This is a beautiful vineyard. We only had 2 hours here. I wish we had more time to enjoy walking around their grounds. We requested a Nebiolo and she was able to make it happen. I really like their grenache rosé and their Nebiolo blend.

It's a very romantic cabin, too bad the weather didn't help us as it was cloudy at night, but we enjoyed it regardless. We enjoyed the wines here as well as the food. The restaurant Surgencia is delicious. If you like pork the tamarind ribs are delicious, but honestly you won't go wrong with any of the dishes. Chef Eduardo is simply amazing and he takes care of the diners making sure everything is perfect for you. The staff are all that way as well, you can tell they care about the customers and take great pride in their work. We will be back!!!
