He was very quick and even gave his direct number should another incident happen. Con: Left a couple bolts and screws on floor. Also the following day the toilet was running again. When I checked the tank myself, I saw a piece of cardboard blocking the stopper from forming a seal. I removed it and it said "MUST BE REMOVED" on it. I would have had to call a plumber to fix it had I not looked myself. Obviously this should have been taken off before the stopper was replaced. Yes, the problem is solved. No, I will not be calling this place next time I need a plumber.

Crescenta Valley water replaced the water mains a few years ago throughout my neighborhood, and…read morethey said that they had great difficulty hooking up my existing galvanized water main pipe that went up to my house back to the new water main. They said it was extremely corroded and needed to be replaced. I am doing a bunch of renovations to my house right now, and decided it was time to replace the old pipe. I called around and got a few quotes that were pretty ridiculous, and one company wanted me to pay for them to come out and give me a quote, even though they are literally 1.9 miles away from my house! I finally called my plumber who has worked with my family for decades, but doesn't do this type of work. He recommended John. I called him up, and he came right over and gave me a very reasonable quote. I booked him the following week. His crew came out at 8:30am. He had told me that the water would be off for 4 to 6 hours, and that they would be done before 5pm. They turned off the water at around 10:30, and were done with the job by 1:30. I am beyond happy with their work! I have a xeriscape front yard with lots of big, sharp cactus. His crew worked around all my plants, and didn't leave a mark on any of them. My neighbor commented to me after the install was done that he couldn't tell that any work had been done. Always a good sign.

He called a short while later asking what we wanted to do, and my brother said that we were leaning towards capping it, even if it was a temporary fix as we needed the water back on. John told him he'd cap it today free of charge, but he needs $2300 cash upfront tomorrow for the major fix. As it seemed a ridiculous (cash) amount, we sought a second opinion. Another plumber called after reviewing the videos of the leak and although he couldn't make it, he was happy to provide a solution so that some other plumber (I.e. John) could-- take notes John, THAT'S good service. When my brother proposed the idea to John over the phone he responded "I thoroughly explained to you why we could or couldn't do that", again in a derogatory voice. Martin from Air Tech provided a very competetive quote for a direct replacement including new curb and ductwork. Martin mentioned that this type of HVAC is more for commercial use, but this suited my needs best. The new Goodman unit and curb Martin's team installed looks so much better than the old unit which was rusting and missing panels. The new drainage pipe was even installed in such a way that there is no unsightly white pvc sitting on the roof (pipe ran through attic with exit at side of house running down along gutter downspout). The old registers and return inside the house were also replaced, plus a Nest Smart thermostat installed. All of which added to the modern look and feel inside our new home. I am impressed by the nearly instantaneous heat or cool air that is produced at the press of a button. Martin was easy to get a hold of and he addressed every concern I had during this upgrade.
