I went on Sunday to get my hair done. I had heard good reviews from my friend who got her hair highlighted by Mila and it looked amazing. I went in for a consultation as recommended and asked multiple times if Mila could do balayage and the hair color I wanted that was a red/red pink I have had before I also wanted to get my hair cut. She reassured me that she could and it would look amazing. The day of the appointment, I checked again to make sure that she could do what I wanted. She said yes. She started about by dry cutting my hair, I thought this was weird but maybe how she did it and we agreed on the length and how it looked she mentioned doing layers and while I thought that was weird didn't think much of it. She then stripped and dyed my hair and then proceeded to cut an inch or two off with which balayage is a no go. Long story short. She definitely can't balayage or atleast did a horrible job on me, cut my hair shorter then expected, and instead of red/red pink she died it more red orange but looks like a pumpkin especially in the sun. Towards the end she also called my normal hair I came in with boring. I paid $340 between the cost and the tip I stupidly gave. If you want balayage or an unnatural do not go to Mila. She also claimed the dyes don't bleed but I have orange now in my cap that says otherwise. read more

I went to this salon in November to receive a balayage because I have gone to this salon before to get it done and it came out beautiful. This time I had to go to someone else because the lady who did it the first time had left the salon. I was in there for over 2 hours and the lady did not blow dry my hair completely, even though they charged me for a blow out. DO NOT I REPEAT USE THIS PLACE. They ruined my wife hair. She went there yesterday with a picture of how she wanted she hair dyed and cut the women after 4 hours did such a bad job that Vlad said if your not happy come back and we will re do it free of charge. He saw how bad it was. MY wife was so upset she called back and came back this morning. Make a long story short all of her hair broke off in the front. I called ahead to make an appointment for a haircut and toner treatment. Their website states $25 and up. I also was told toner treatment is $20 and up over the phone. I have medium length hair and was just getting a trim. The entire treatment of a trim and toner took 15 minutes from start to finish. They did not even do a blow dry or style. I was charged $70 which is is way too overpriced. I should have been charged $45. I also had hair all over my shirt when I left. Though my hairstylist was nice, will not be back. I have paid less in Manhattan for a trim and toner. read more

A different beautician name Mila is now my hairdresser. She is the third beautician I've been through in the last 4 years but that's because one girl left to have a baby and another girl just left but did give me notice. They were all good but Mila is amazing. My highlights always look perfect. It's a very clean and relaxing place and I like the fact that they have you wear masks while they're doing your hair, as do they. It makes me feel safe since I had covid in 2020. I have been going to Vlad's hair studio for about 4 years now and I can't say enough great things. My go to stylist is Ayet. She is the only person I trust with my hair. I have gotten everything from deep red to platinum blonde with no damage to the integrity of my hair. She is a specialist with it comes to blonde coloring whether it be a full platinum card or beautiful highlights. I have even gone to get beautiful updos by her that really wow. The Pros. I was happy with the haircuts. It is more affordable than a lot of the other salons. It was easy to get an appointment. The negatives. The rude, unprofessional, embarrassing, harassing, humiliating, mean, disturbing, inappropriate, nasty, cruel, and horrible comments that Vlad's sister Mila made to me during my last visit ruined the customer experience and relationship. If she were not Vlad's sister, she could be fired for talking to a customer like that. I was not able to get a haircut with her in peace. Not very professional nor pleasant. She made those horrible and embarrassing comments in a public hair salon where other people could hear it. She continued to provoke me with those terrible comments after I told her that it was making me uncomfortable. Her intent was to harass me. Comments that she made to me the first time I got my hair cut with her had also disturbed me. Mila's only concern should have been the business and customer service. The signs were strong that Mila may have allowed a former hair stylist who was also a manager at another salon to use her to harass me me and to continue with the trouble that she gave me at her salon. Mila used her exact words and made the same kind of harassing and embarrassing comments. The harassment had escalated in which the comments were more harassing and embarrassing. Seeing Mila was like seeing the former hair stylist. The past came in there and haunted me. I left the last salon to get away from the harassment and it continued at the Vlad's Hair Studio. The former hair stylist would have been the one making the rude and harassing comments if I had remained her customer. I was very shocked. The bad experience I had with Mila gave me the creeps. Mila exploited her position and misused information. It became a problem that Mila was Vlad's sister. No justice there since she was Vlad's sister. Mila also wanted to overcharge me for a haircut. Vlad had enforced the correct pricing for the haircut for the rest of 2021. In 2022, Mila had charged me more for the haircut and said that the prices went up. Vlad supported it. The pricing on the website never went up until the end of May. Vlad first told me that the pricing on the website was going to go up in September and he would have to talk with the stylist to see how much I would be charged for a haircut. It went up in May instead. Vlad even increase the price of the perm, but it never went up on the website until the end of May. On my last visit. Vlad also charged me a fee for paying with a credit card. That is three times within 5 months that the prices went up. Vlad and Mila took advantage of the pricing and exploited it. They kept finding excuses to charge me more money for a haircut. Vlad was letting Mila have her way with the pricing. The Vlad Hair Studio is very dysfunctional and the pricing is inconsistent. After I made a complaint about the horror that happened with Mila, Vlad sent me a disturbing message and wanted me to make a phone appointment with him. He then sent a nasty message that I was never welcomed at the Vlad Hair Studio again and that things are not changing. It was scary that Vlad was messaging me passed 11PM which is way past business hours. Bad management and customer service. I would have given the Vlad Hair Studio 5 stars if I had not gotten crap from Vlad and his sister Mila. I got very hurt by them. I regret ever returning to the Vlad Hair studio. What a misery. I'm happy with Ayet's work. She does a great job with hair cut. She clearly knows what she is doing. The only downside for me was their vague pricing. The first time I called I was told hair cut was 25, but was charged 30. The second time, I was told 25 is only for short hair. Was originally recommended this place by a close friend of mine, and ever since her recommendation, have been coming her for over 10 years. OMG how do you mess up a buzz cut?! I called ahead to ask if they can buzz my 2 year olds hair. He gets it all the time but my usual girl hasn't been available. They said sure and made my appointment. I get there, my son sits on my husbands lap, she starts to buzz him. He wasn't moving much at all. He cried a little but was pretty still. She nicked his ear which bled a bit. There are so many patches of hair that are so long...I'm literally going to have to cut them myself. $17 for a crappy buzz. Waste of my time and money. Ayet cuts my hair like I've been trying to get cut for a few years and no one would get right. Also she is quick and efficient. My hair always looks great when done and doesn't need me to go home and touch it up like other salons usually do. I pay $48 plus tip which is a little higher than I'd normally like to pay for a haircut (I'm cheap LOL), but to be honest it's totally worth it - and I can go a little longer between cuts as long as I trim my bangs b/c the layers grow in nicely and it's still easy to style..... to me that's the sign of a great cut. Highlights for my shoulder length hair run $120 with a cut and dry. My highlights normally last like 4 months.... I've only used Ayet so I can only vouch for her, but the rest of the salon is clean and the people are really nice. Also they don't push products on your like other salons (especially ones that are pricier than here!). unless you want a botched hair cut don't go! i had hair down to my mid-back with my longest layer sitting at my breasts. i went in for a simple trim and walked out with bangs on 1 side of my face, top layer 2 inches long, and a mullet. my longest layer sits at my breast, my 2nd layer starting at my ears and my shortest layer on my left side literally 2.5 inches long, and my right side 5 inches long??? WTF. when I called to ask for my money back i was told "that's what you asked for and you don't know how to style your hair" so unprofessional and would not recommend at all! read more

I have only used waxing services. The lady is very very nice and makes you feel comfortable but it is disappointing they use the cloth strip wax. Most salons use a better wax which also gives you longer-lasting, more consistent results, and less painful! Overall clean salon, would be 5 stars if they switched to a better wax! read more
