    Room 214

Room 214 Major Cons: Fire alarm during the first day and not having access to running water was a major issue!!! Having traveled a long distance to come to a room with no water was not the welcome I wanted. Waited about an hour for the water to work. Bed was not comfortable. The air conditioner kept making noise throughout the night and the air hit straight to the direction of the pillows which was very uncomfortable. Freezing my head!!! The bathroom sink was a fight to turn on, the knob was very tight to turn. Rooms are so thin, and you can literally hear the conversations of the next room. They do provide single use ear plugs for your stay. Daily parking rate at 18.00 . The pros were the breakfast served the next day. Fresh coffee, great service and ample portions. Location close to shops and restaurants.

The hotel is nice and pretty inside. The staff seem very nice and accommodating. One of my biggest turn offs was that there is an ice machine on the first floor, but not on the floor I'm staying on?? I had to go out in my pajamas for ice. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything from people talking/screaming to doors slamming. I see a sign for earplugs in the restroom but where are they? The bathroom door is broken/doesn't close all the way and just swings? The bed is comfortable and spacious for two! Yay for that. I likely wouldn't stay here again. Not horrible, but could definitely find better in the area.

I would not recommend staying here. The room smells, moldy in the rooms are not very clean. There was a long black hair on the sink hair on the toilet and a very gross chair with stains all over.

I booked for 4th of July Weekend, Hot Mess... 1) There was a spec of feces on the toilet roll. Roomkeeping exchanged us a new roll 2) When came back the area by A/C was wet carpet 3) Was assigned a new room. It smelled like Urine upon when opening... 4) 3rd new room was a bit hot, but doable. I was only offered a 20% discount on entire booking. I later negotiated to a 1 day comp for the 2 days via Hotels.com ... The parking fee was later wavered I guess. Hotels.com said they couldnt get a hold of Hotel so I had to call and loop in Manager in a separate email... I still haven't received my $100 security deposit from 4th of July booking and it's now July 26th. Front desk/Manager said it was 3-7 days to reflect onto my account and then later on it'll take awhile since it was a debit card not a credit card // no specific ETA on when it'd be back in my account. Honestly I should've been refunded the rest of the booking too and my security deposity should already in my account but I guess not! Headache to say the least. Thanks Roberto 0/5

We enjoyed our time at voco hotel Laguna Hills. The location is convenient and the lobby and event space are beautiful! The front desk was friendly and attentive. Our room had a modern aesthetic and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast there as well. Would definitely return!

Staying here for a couple days on business. The hotel is located conveniently off the freeway and it has a really nice aesthetic at first glance. The front desk staff that checked me in was very friendly. The rooms are spacious and have a modern appearance. I enjoy the complimentary WiFi and the convenience of being able to cast the shows I'd like to watch from the streaming apps on my phone to their TV. We pay an extra amenities fee, which includes the two complimentary bottles of water, etc. There was no water in this room upon my arrival and no water in the cooler downstairs. When inquiring about how to obtain water, I was in turn asked whether I'd brought my own reusable bottle to be used at their filling station... Like, why should I have to? I'm resourceful so I just ended up DoorDashing a bottle of water to myself along with my takeout order. The reason why I won't stay here, and won't recommend anyone else to either is because the housekeepers aren't thorough with their cleaning. I just checked in today and found multiple hairs in the bed that didn't come from my head. They make the beds, but clearly don't wash the sheets and comforters between guest stays, or at least don't do so as often and consistently as they should. That is disgusting and I'm unfortunately here for another night.

This hotel is just okay. I stayed here with my gf to escape the fires in LA. The pros: Great location Cheap rate The cons: No tampons or Tylenol -- even tho the bathroom says "we got you covered" and even specifically says that they have women's hygiene products for free. See pictures. We called the front desk three times to confirm this & they were like "we can't just give you anything for free" and they didn't even have these things for purchase either. See the sign in my pictures. This was in our hotel room bathroom. There is no Gym -- said they had one on the website We picked 1 standard bed when booking -- was giving a double queen room. The Elevators and decor felt old, and our floor smelled weird. The toilet water pressure was abysmal. Clogged after regular use the first day. The staff did have it fixed immediately the next morning tho.

    Poop stains on toilet paper

Unsanitary room, brown poop stains all over toilet, requested to have the room cleaned three times never addressed out entire stay. Was told no manager at the facility. GM Ronnie Torres refuses to forward my email to the owner or have the owner contact me.

Second, the breakfast bar was seriously close to five-star hotel because you had an actual omelette chef! Our room was clean, comfortable, and the beds made it easy to get a great night's sleep. There was a slight "old smoker" smell when we first walked in, but once we turned on the air conditioner it quickly disappeared. After we got settled, we honestly didn't notice it again. Although we didn't get to use the pool because we were in town for a tournament and forgot our swimsuits, the pool and patio area looked inviting and well maintained. I did use the fitness center, and I was genuinely impressed. It's one of the first hotel gyms I've visited that had everything needed for a solid workout without making me want to find a local gym. It was small but thoughtfully equipped, exceptionally clean, organized, and all of the equipment was in great condition. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Instead of just the typical hotel buffet, they had a staff member at the breakfast station preparing and serving the hot foods, which was a really nice touch and made the breakfast feel a bit more special. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely look for this hotel chain again the next time we travel.

Coffee is good, not great. The 6am start before work was appreciated. Rooms are contemporary design similar to a Courtyard maybe. Very good space since it is a suite. The Zero O and Crabtree and Evelyn bath products were very good. The showers are good sized with ample space to take care of your cleansing business. When I booked, I called ahead specifically to ask about bringing my ESA dog and was told there would be no issue and no mention of a fee. At check-in this morning, my dog and I were let in without a single mention of any fee or policy issue. It wasn't until I went to get my parking permit that a front desk employee suddenly told me my dog "wasn't in the system" and didn't qualify, then brought over a supervisor who insisted a fee was required. When I explained this was the entire reason I chose this hotel, and that nothing was said at check-in, the supervisor repeatedly cited ADA policy but showed zero accountability for the fact that her own staff had already let us in without raising it. Her only "solution" was offering to let me check out without a fee -- not acknowledging the mix-up, not trying to actually solve the problem, just brushing it off. If your policy is strict, that's fine, but it needs to be communicated consistently by your own staff, not sprung on guests hours later by someone with an attitude. Poor training and poor accountability at the front desk turned what should've been a simple stay into a stressful, insulting experience

The bed was MEDIUM firmness level and had 4 pillows that were fairly supportive. We had the two queen's room. It was very quiet. STAFF are polite and helpful. The garage is pretty huge and long. They also have two Jacuzzi one for kids and one for adults. They do have a restaurant called citrus Grill, which you do need to order but then you can bring it out to the pool deck and eat. We did order from there and the food was great. The food price is high, but that's just typical of any hotel and you're really paying for convenience. But the food was delicious. I would say the amenities of this place is amazing because they also have an amazing gym which unfortunately I was not able to use since I was doing a staycation with my seven year-old. They do have a kids club, but you have to pay $40 for an hour. My son really didn't wanna do it so I skipped the gym this time. But definitely next time I wanna check out the gym because it looks amazing with so many different classes and just really nice facility. The nice thing also is that you can use the amenities once you check out and then they have locker rooms or we can take showers and get dressed and then head home! We got a two queen bed, hotel room, and it was very nicely designed, very clean, and very comfortable beds. The only odd thing is that the shower is a standup shower and there's no door so just be prepared for that They have a Starbucks, a full bar and a restaurant on property. Also what I love about this location is there is a huge shopping center nearby which also includes a bowling alley. So we spent the day at the pools and then the afternoon we went bowling! Would NOT stay here again…read more We came to Orange County for Labor Day weekend, and honestly, this hotel was pretty disappointing. The location is great and it's really close to Irvine Spectrum, but unfortunately, the hotel itself just isn't worth what we paid. We spent around $1,100 for 3 days, and I expected a lot more. The thing that REALLY set me off was the restaurant experience. I ordered a cheeseburger using the QR code in the room. The restaurant called and asked if I wanted it delivered. I said no, thank you because I didn't want to pay the extra $3 delivery fee plus the $3.24 service charge, before even considering a tip. So I WALKED DOWN and picked up my own food. When I got there, the guy printed my receipt and said, "Please sign this and add a tip." I put $0 because, again, I literally scanned a QR code, ordered my own food, walked downstairs and picked it up myself. As he looked at the receipt, he said "Thanks, buddy" in a very obviously sarcastic way because I didn't tip. Seriously?! I'm sorry, but I'm not tipping someone for an order I placed myself and physically went downstairs to pick up. Then there's housekeeping. The paper in the room says housekeeping is every day and even tells you to leave your towels on the floor if you want them replaced. So we did exactly that... And they never came. So what's the point of putting that information in the room if you're not actually going to provide the service? Pros * Very close to Irvine Spectrum * Good location * AC works great * Breakfast was good Cons * Cell service is REALLY bad, and the Wi-Fi isn't much better * Beds are hard and uncomfortable * Showers were barely warm -- definitely not hot * Housekeeping says daily on the flyer... nope * Supposedly fresh towels every day... nope * Room service/housekeeping wasn't great * Dirty/used glasses weren't replaced * Expensive for what you actually get Overall, $1,100 for 3 days is way too much for this experience. The location is convenient, but that's about where the positives end for me. I would not book this hotel again.
