I felt so welcomed here from the moment we arrived. The valet parking was easy and the staff was incredibly attentive. The service was amazing the entire time we were there. We originally sat inside, but asked to move outside because the view was just too beautiful to pass up. The green mountains made it feel like we were on vacation somewhere tucked away in the mountains. I ordered the burger and it was absolutely delicious -- thick, juicy patty with super yummy fries. My boyfriend ordered the chicken sandwich and it was honestly to die for. I also got an iced latte and it was perfect. Even the color of it looked beautiful and tasted just as good. We went to the Ranch, but ultimately sat at the porch, which had an incredible view and outdoor seating. We were greeted immediately got a couple glasses of wine and ordered an appetizer. They had a good selection of food. They also had an a restaurant on site called the Harvest, but we chose to stay outside on the porch because they had live music and an epic view of the golf course nestled in the canyon.. Our wine was delicious. We did order a pretzel. The pretzel was OK. I was a little disappointed that the cheese was cold, that's the way it it served ... not my preference but it did with a spicy mustard that was pretty good. read more

An Unforgettable Rehearsal Dinner at The Ranch! I searched high and low for nearly eight months for the perfect venue for our son Christian and his now-wife Grace's rehearsal dinner. Although it was the rehearsal dinner, I wanted it to kick off their wedding weekend and set the tone for the beautiful day ahead. I'm an interior designer and events are also part of my business, so I know how much work and attention to detail goes into an event. But this time, I was the mother of the groom. I wanted to enjoy this special evening with my husband, our son, Grace, family and friends without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. The Ranch gave me exactly that. Kylie Wikle was the first person I worked with. She was professional, approachable, flexible and incredibly accommodating. I had a budget in mind, and she nailed it! As the event approached, I was seamlessly handed over to Sage Woodard, Catering Manager. I never felt like I had to start over. Sage responded quickly to my emails, accommodated my requests to revisit the venue, and was wonderful throughout the entire planning process. Being a designer, I had a very specific vision for the tables, décor and layout. I brought many of my own elements, and some of what I envisioned had never been done in the space before. Instead of saying no, the team embraced it. Then there were Eduardo Pineda and Javi Naranjo, the Banquet Managers, and their incredible staff. Top, top notch! Javi helped make my table design come alive. Even after the tables had been placed, I wanted adjustments made to get the look and flow exactly right. There was never any hesitation or feeling that I was asking too much. Javi and his team simply made the changes until everything looked exactly as I had envisioned. Eduardo also saved the day with one detail I'll never forget. I had a beautiful custom "The Night Before" sign at the entrance, but when it was placed on the ground, something just didn't look right. Eduardo noticed my concern and immediately brought out an iron easel. Suddenly, the entrance looked perfect! It may sound like a small detail, but the entrance sets the tone for what is ahead. He noticed, he cared, and he fixed it. From the video I provided, to the tables, layout, music and ambience, everything came together beautifully. And then there was the FOOD! WOW! Bravo to the Chef! We chose the Harvest BBQ Buffet and it was amazing. The tri-tip was incredibly tender, along with delicious ribs, king salmon, macaroni and cheese, potatoes and desserts. Our guests loved it! Our rehearsal dinner was an intimate event of about 40 people, yet The Ranch treated our party of 40 with the same care and attention I would expect them to give an event of 400. We never felt less important because our event was smaller. Most importantly, their team allowed me to do something that can be difficult for someone who normally plans and designs events: they allowed me to simply be the mother of the groom. I could relax, be present and watch our son and his beautiful bride-to-be surrounded by the people who love them. Our family and friends were comfortable, happy and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I visited The Harvest on a Friday early evening to celebrate my graduation with my family. The employees were so friendly & accommodating--I really appreciated how informative they were in explaining the background & ingredients of each dish. They also kindly wrote me a letter congratulating me on my graduation, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the pull-apart milk bread, crispy duck drummettes, & crispy octopus to share with the table. My sister & I split the pan-roasted scallops, which they plated separately for our convenience & even added an extra scallop. I also had bites of my mom's seared bluefin tuna & my dad's grilled pork chop. Everything was absolutely delectable. Our server was attentive in asking for our thoughts on the dishes, sharing that they're still fine-tuning their new summer menu since it rotates seasonally. One of the employees even directed us to a gorgeous spot to take a group photo at the end of our meal. The Harvest has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Laguna Beach, & my family loved it so much that we've already made a reservation to celebrate my mom's birthday there next month. What a terrible experience dinning at The Porch, one of the restaurants at The Ranch in Laguna Beach. My wife and I have rented a fire pit at this restaurant many, many times. To book a fire pit, you must make a deposit of $350. This has been normal and this deposit is deducted from your food and drink for the night. NOT ANYMORE This deposit is now taken fir just sitting at the fire pit! After a bill of $359 last night we found out the deposit was not deducted. Our dinner for 4 adults skyrocketed to $709! We are local residents and even had our wedding reception there. This is an outrageous fee! Don't get a fire pit! Read the new policy. Who's stupid idea was this!!!! ! read more

The ranch is definitely a move! We come often and every time we come, the service the food everything about the location is on point. My wife is originally from Laguna Beach but we live in Los Angeles now, so when we come down the ranch is one of our go two spots. Daisy our waitress the last couple times we were there is amazing, super friendly, super attentive and for example when the food is delivered and you need that extra ketchup or that little bit of extra maple syrup or whatever the managers are actually in the dining room hands-on making sure everybody gets great service ,on a recent visit the manager Max was doing a fantastic job helping the staff and making sure everything was perfect. We ended up canceling our reservation after a very disappointing experience with the staff. Months before our wedding, my fiancé and I called specifically to ask about the venue's photography policy. We were very clear about our plans, and a staff member gave us information that ultimately turned out to be inaccurate. Finding out just weeks before our wedding that we had been relying on incorrect information was incredibly frustrating and stressful. What was even more disappointing was the response. Rather than trying to understand what happened, investigate the miscommunication, or work with us toward a reasonable solution, there was little effort to address our concerns. We expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service. Because of how the situation was handled, we no longer felt comfortable keeping our reservation and chose to cancel and book elsewhere. I hope the business improves its communication and how it handles situations like this in the future so other couples don't have a similar experience. read more

Nestled in the mountain by the golf course, the ranch is a beautiful tranquil restaurant. I like that we could sit there and enjoy food without huge rush of people and it's quiet for a nice brunch. Service was ok, it's also because it was by the golf course, even servers feel quite relaxed it took abit of time to flag down our server. Food was quite good, oysters were really fresh. The entire view from left to right was untouched canyon walls to make you feel you've stepped back in time. Wow. Food - I ordered the filet mignon which was excellent despite nearly 200 wedding guests all getting theirs at the exact same moment, how do they pull that off? No idea. But it wasn't the best thing on the menu, somehow the potato leak soup was better ? I struggle to admit that, but there you have it. Wine selection excellent, but we are in California, so I suppose that's normal. Beer selection poor, but we are in California, so I suppose that's normal. Hey you don't order sushi when you are cattle ranching in Montana, you don't order steak in the Maldives, so stick with the local wine. After you turn into The Ranch from PCH, you go up the hill a little bit and then hit a fork, turn toward the Ranch, there is valet and the Harvest restaurant is a couple steps away from valet. When you walk into the restaurant, go past the hotel check in desk and go to the host stand. The hostesses weren't in the best mood but we were able to sit outside. Do sit outside, inside got super crowded and loud with big groups and kids running around. Outside is quiet and peaceful with great views. Went here for brunch with a group and we all ordered different food and we all agreed it was delicious! We ordered the grilled peaches appetizer, churro French toast, breakfast burrito, burger, and soup, matcha, iced coffee and everything was 10/10 I highly recommend going here! read more

For me it's all about the details and how people are composing themselves and also, how genuine they care about whether or not you're getting the experience they want you to have. Lovely hotel. The rooms are more like a private condo. Mini bar, dining table and a full living room, then two bedrooms and a full bathroom. This was the perfect set up for our family of four. The breakfast at Harvest each morning was delicious and there were so many options to pick from. The daily events were also a nice touch. We took the farm tour with Leo and learned so much. My wife and I stayed at this resort this weekend. Ankit, the gentleman who checked us in was very courteous. He surprised us with an upgraded room. He said it's because we're celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were stunned as we entered our cottage. Very spacious 2 story. Dinner at the Harvest was simply delicious. Scott who waited our table, knew the menu well, he was great and lighthearted. We loved our farm tour. Fun and educational. We got to meet and chat with Ryan the expert gardener. I recently stayed at The Ranch Laguna and the service was absolutely amazing. Sage checked me in and she was so kind, helpful, and welcoming. I absolutely adored her. Katya also helped me a lot and was so sweet and informative. Greg was my main personal driver and he went above and beyond with incredible kindness, great recommendations, excellent communication, and a wonderful attitude. One night I had Ricky as a driver and he was just as amazing even though I didn't get to see him as often. The entire staff was incredible. There was a man at the front desk, I think his name was Garrett, who was so kind to me, especially for my birthday. Andrea, the cleaning lady, was sweet and thorough and another male staff member who cleaned rooms was always smiling and welcoming. My water was always available and they even made me a beautiful dessert with champagne for my birthday which I truly appreciated. The dark chocolate with sea salt bedside were fantastic. I highly recommend the farm tour and McKenna, I think that was her name, was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does. The daily live music was wonderful, the musicians were talented and added such a relaxing vibe to the resort. Staying in the Creek Room was lovely. I got to see ducks in the creek and it was conveniently close to the lobby. The walk was nice sometimes though golf carts were available. The only minor thing was hearing a little noise from neighbors, but it really wasn't a big deal. I also asked for a late checkout when leaving. I had hoped for a 4 PM checkout as an American Express Platinum member, but they were fully booked and couldn't accommodate it. No big deal, now I know I can insist next time. As an American Express Platinum member, I got upgraded which was a lovely touch and they offer a great deal for free breakfast daily. I loved the shower products, the turndown service, and the overall low-key natural vibe of the resort. It was the perfect escape from everyday hustle and bustle. If you're looking for a relaxing, nature-filled experience in Laguna rather than a busy beach scene, this is the spot. I really appreciated the thoughtful and attentive service and will definitely be coming back. read more
