We had a kitchenette, so that we could save some money cooking for ourselves as we awaited the $3K tenting of our home. Unfortunately, we could not bring the doggo to the suite, but other rooms there you can bring dogs. Not sure why and perhaps I asked, but forget if I found out. Anyway, the dog was just as happy staying at our neighborly dog sitter's house that she loves to visit and hang out with our neighbor. She probably is more spoiled there, so does not mind us dropping her off. The suite is clean and nicely kept. It is not the Ritz, so limited services and such, but it fit what we needed perfectly. We parked our golf cart in the reserved parking spot and pretended we were on vacation in San Clemente for a couple of days. I guess that is a staycation and we nailed it. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was adequate and clean. There was a fan, AC unit and heater. We only needed the fan. We used the private outdoor seating area and even lit up a fire one night as they leave you wood for the fire pit. My Eagle Scout flex was lacking, as it took be a bit of time to get that fire pit raging with only a newspaper and pizza box. No kindling, just pretty good size logs. But, my persistence paid off and we had a great evening sitting by the fire. The one thing that was not great was the opened food that was in the cabinet. Potato chips, marshmellows and some other snacks. It wouldl have been better for those things to be cleared before we checked in. But that was my only complaint. Again, I recommend the Patriot, and the staff, if you need to get your house tented or if you have friends and family visiting our cool little town. Go. Sleep Well! HAVE FUN!!

The worst of it is the constant noise from the heavy metal chairs and tables being scraped and moved on the tile floor in the bar above until 11:00pm nightly. Backstory: I'm the last person at work who wants the AC on, but I can't stand a stuffy room after getting back, so I'd appreciate it if they just leave it well alone if I'm setting the room to 70 degrees. It's not like I put it at 50. So that irks me. Walls are thin. Woke up at 1:45am to moans from the room next door. Luckily the woman hit the right soprano notes so it wasn't too bothersome, nor did it last beyond 10 minutes, but just something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper like me. But other than that, the room is clean, shower's hot water comes on relatively quickly and works well so overall we had a good stay.

The bedroom room is not large either but it was me and my BF and it was fine for the two of us. Would be perfect for a solo traveler. Alkaline water fountain in the courtyard area that you can fill your bottles up with! I have never seen alkaline water fountains and now I'm obsessed. In the room, they have a cool pour over coffee set up, a mini fridge and a microwave, and really lovely products (especially love the soap). But, there are some things that needed attention (broken TP holder, grate in shower) and when we checked out we told woman at office, Donna, and she was great and said she would sent the maintenance worker there right away. Had a billing issue but Donna resolved it promptly. They also have a USB port right by the beds which is great cuz we forgot our connector. Room was very clean and the bed is hella comfortable with a down comforter and down throw pillows. They also have a full set of dishes on the table but if you get take out, know you can have full plates. We just went out for food but were good perks. They also have a super comfy Hammock!!! All in all, a small cozy room, nice location and excellent amenities!

I booked a king room the night before I arrived and got a thorough text from Chris about my check in time (which I was granted an early 1p check in without even asking!), parking, amenities and how to use the app for my room key. All points were covered and Chris really set up a seamless, contactless experience. The location was ideal, right across from the Montage resort - open to the public. I walked down to the beach most nights and got a good workout while at it, prepare for stairs. I had dinner at the amazing Starfish Laguna next door to the lodge and got groceries at Gelson's at the same plaza. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. My room was beautiful. Ample seating, a cozy dining area, a kitchenette with a full sized fridge and microwave, beach chairs included in the closet, spacious bathroom (for a solo traveling gal) and a comfy bed with extra blankets in storage. Roku tv included for entertainment. My room was on the farther end of the property, where my view was the edge of a hill lol but I honestly loved the quiet, spacious corner room. Despite the lack of a physical key, I felt very safe in this space and barely noticed sounds from neighbors. I would love to stay here at any time! The hospitality extended from Chris and the product itself were *chefs kiss*.

The views are simply unparalleled -- nearly panoramic and absolutely stunning. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, exactly what you need for a great beach trip. Room 5A is a gem -- no elevator or modern extras, but the breathtaking views more than make up for it. It's an older property and the exterior shows it, but that's part of its charm. For a classic, relaxed beach getaway, the location and scenery are simply unbeatable. We'll always request this room.

I sleep on a queen at home and am very well aware of the size. When I asked the staff at check out if it was a full, she reassured it was a queen. SMH The bathroom was very spacious, but the shower was tiny and water pressure was weak. Check out time is at 11:00 AM... like most hotels, but we got a call from the front desk at 10:48 AM and housekeeping was at our door by 10:59. I'm giving two stars because the room was clean and the location is close to the beach. It's not in downtown Laguna, but it's walkable or you can use the free trolley.

The time I was there was good housekeeping was attentive when I came to the needs of the room. The balcony rooms will always have the best views if that's your goal. Very close to the downtown so lots of food options nearby along w the Sunday market. Room was very cold at points even w the heaters and the fireplace on but my guess it's because of the tile. I went in the winter but they do offer beach equipment if needed and towels which is always great. Plus the sauna and jacuzzi are always great to enjoy.

They also have rentals available not everyone uses their timeshare not all the rooms and all the weeks are used up. Additionally, they have timeshares for sale. If you're interested I would say the prices for your yearly fees are comparable to any other hotel in their resort area or a beach area so well worth it to pay the timeshare fees and just come down whenever.

It was reasonably quiet except for firetrucks leaving the fire station and various hours. Hotel is located in the Laguna Hills Civic area so we did see a lot of police but more along the lines of patrolling not answering calls in the hotel. The windows are double painted. Did you have a rather noisy AC unit but only when it was cycling to cold the room. Breakfast was included. I'd probably get the breakfast only about two stars but Service at breakfast was good. They did have eggs only pork sausage packaged out now apples bananas, oranges and juice breakfast is served 7 AM to 10 AM. Check out is 11 AM. Respect to the room is neat and clean double pan windows. The towels were a bit thin and not very soft but they did the job rooms. Have a refrigerator and a microwave.

We were in our room when we noticed a cockroach running across the wall…read more It went behind the dresser, so we moved the dresser and found multiple holes in the wall, which made us even more concerned about pests getting into the room. The room also smelled very musty, and to make matters worse, we woke up with multiple bites on our legs that looked like they could be from bed bugs. We were so uncomfortable and concerned that we could barely sleep. Now we're worried that we may have brought bed bugs home with us. When we brought our concerns to the front desk, the employee told us there was nothing she could do and that we needed to email the manager. We emailed the manager and still have not received a response. This is completely unacceptable, especially for paying guests. At the very least, management should acknowledge the situation and address serious cleanliness and pest concerns. Do better and take care of your guests. I would not recommend staying here.
