When the steer was to be picked up they had completly screwed the cutting order up by grinding the entire grain fed animal in to burger. Adding insult to injury the owner took zero percent liability for his employees horrible mistake. We have religiously sent 12 to 15 animals there a year and when we tried to address the problem the owner could only come back with " the steer has been here for 6 weeks" we will never use Sharps again. Unfortunately the owner didn't seem to care. If using this establishment I highly recommend emailing your cutting instructions so you have some kind of recourse.

They also carry a good selection of healthy oils, canning supplies, baking supplies, raw organic cocoa powder, some essential oils and soapmaking supplies, kitchen items, juices, teas and natural sodas, and a lot of other misc things for the whole foods crowd. There never seems to be much of anyone in there -I hope they will be able to stay in business in an area where people are conditioned to buying really awful food at Safeway and Walmart.

Same deal for other dry shelf goods- as someone getting into cheaper meal prepping, this really is the place to go for such deals. The store itself is very basic- concrete floors, high shelving, barebones customer service. It is meant for business customers but I come here for my house- they also carry industrial/commercial strength cleaners, kitchen equipment and janitorial supplies. They don't carry electronics, entertainment, prepackaged meals, clothing or anything else of that sort. I don't mind though- I just go elsewhere for those types of items. Depending on what you value, I'd say it is definitely worth coming to this store either as a business owner or individual.

Now, most of my friends have busy schedules, so it takes quite a while to coordinate. As luck would have it, 3 of us were available this very day! We arranged to meet at 1:15ish. While waiting for my friends, I got some complimentary Turkish tea, it was quite good. Then I put in an order for the appetizer sampler plate. The order arrived just as my friends did. They actually walked to the restaurant. The appetizer sampler consisted of Ezme, Tarator, Muhammara and Eggplant salad. Three of the four items were vegan the Tarator contained yogurt. My favorite was the Muhammara. My friends enjoyed the shared appetizer. It came with pita bread, and when the basket was emptied, we were asked if we wanted more. For my entree, I ordered the vegan Tantuni wrap with oyster mushrooms. The flavor was outstanding! My friends were both loving what they ordered. A friend also got the turnip juice. I recently stopped into Chef Agir for an early dinner, and it was a fantastic experience from a pedestrian's perspective. This spot first caught my eye because of the vibrant mural by Christa Grimm on the west wall, which was recently highlighted in a City Cast Portland newsletter. It is a wonderful visual landmark for anyone walking along NE 13th. Inside, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is exceptionally attentive. I had a great conversation with the staff about the restaurant's growth since opening six months ago. While I usually view the city through a lens rather than a menu, the food was excellent and the space feels like a true community gem. Highly recommended for those exploring the neighborhood on foot.
