My first time here. Recommended by one of my good friends and to see Lexi what an awesome job she did. Lexi was able to be flexible with the time as I'm a stay at home mom so getting time away for just me is a bit of a challenge. Listened to what I wanted great customer service. Will be looking forward to my next visit!

Hair by Carmen. Asked her for a subtle brown balayage for my dark brown / drugstore black box dyed hair. PERFECT!

This review is solely for Carmen Najera! Contacted her because I was in need of a change, showed her a few photos of what I wanted and BAM she worked her magic. I've followed and driven over 40 minutes just to get my hair done by her. I literally do not trust ANYONE besides Carmen with my hair! She's the absolute best. She's also great to talk to, but she can also sense when you just want some relaxing quiet time to yourself to get pampered.

This review is for Chanel Olivia. I know she is not part of the business and is only renting out space as an independent (or IDK how it works), but I feel like this review might be helpful to those who are planning to get their hair styled from her since she does her services here. Note: I had to create a second review to solely post this review because I am EMBARRASSED that I went to her in the first place. So I wanted to get my virgin, black, asian hair colored for the first time ever and was on a budget so I bought her groupon (MY MISTAKE!) for balayage highlights. I was super excited to get the color I desired (ash brown) and even showed her pictures. She told me that the color would not be achieved in one session but I said it was ok as long as I have the balayage-esque look. The way she does "balayage" was quite weird, it was more like her using bleach then sloppily painting the color on my hair. Didn't use foils or anything. Once she washed it off, added toner (AN EXTRA $30-50), dried, and styled it, I saw this vivid brassy orange color on my hair with harsh lines. Not only was it this UGLY orange color, I felt my hair get drier and damaged too. I had to murmur "I like it" but inside I just wanted to cry and run outside and chop it all off. It was the worst experience ever. I remember wearing a hat for the next 7 days because I could not walk out in public with the ugly ass hair job. I texted her and complained that my hair was flat-out ugly. It was orange and was not blended well at all. She told me to come back a week later so she can add more toner in it, free of charge. I drove 50 miles back (because I'm in school) just to fix this mess and came out with less-brassy hair. However, it still had the harsh lines and was REALLY damaged. Nowadays, I am still suffering from straw-like hair thanks to Chanel. It has, in fact, taken a toll on my appearance and insecurity. I cry at least once a week looking at my hair and wish I never went. My family makes fun of me because of how messy my hair looks but it's only because of how damaged it was. I have bought so many products (including olaplex) to try to reverse the damage but nothing has been working. I am waiting for old hair to grow back so I can get it done again FROM A DIFFERENT STYLIST. side note: this is just a speculation but her 5 star reviews on Groupon seem sketchy. Why are most of them short and vague? and no images??

Found the cute salon on yelp. I was able to get in the day of for a cut and style. Cost $65.00 The hair stylist (luxy) was great and really down to earth! Oh by the way, love my hair and very thankful!!!

    Brows by Noha!
    Kirby D.

Noha is my go to girl when it comes to brows! She is absolute perfection. She takes her time to make sure that her customers are 100% satisfied. Her prices are reasonable compared to other salons. I guarantee you'll be 100% happy with the shape/look of your brows. She is the most humble person I have ever met.The picture I attached proves how beautiful Noha shapes brows!!!

    Perfect cut and color!

I appreciated that she cared to get the nail length correct and didn't try to push me to have long nails (I prefer shorter). She also was very thorough in painting and shaping my nails. She had polite conversation with me which I really appreciated. Some salons I've been to they don't try to talk to you at all, but Lily was so kind and made the entire experience so wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

I had a very disappointing experience at Rainriver Nails…read more My nails looked messy, and it was sloppy work and had some dents, uneven shaping, and looked like a kid did it, and were wide and fat so I politely asked if they could be fixed. She was annoyed when I showed her my pic I wanted to copy. Buuut Instead of addressing the issues I pointed out, the technician grabbed my hand, held it down, and began cutting off my nails. I never asked for my nails to be cut and did not give permission for that service. I only wanted the uneven shaping and dents corrected. The handling felt rough and uncomfortable, and I was shocked that my nails were cut without my consent. When I told her that wasn't what I wanted, she simply told me to pay for the pedicure only. By then, my nails had already been cut much shorter than I wanted, and the situation could not be undone. Such lack of communication and respect for what I had actually requested. Customers should be listened to and asked before any significant changes are made to their nails like grabbing a hand and cutting off the nails. And based on this experience, I would not return.

That said, they got the job done! I had a spa pedicure and the technician was quick, gentle, and thorough. Prices were mid-range - not cheap but not expensive. I appreciated that they didn't require an appointment. In addition, it was evident that there are a lot of "regulars" that the technicians have served for a long time. I was happy with the outcome of my pedicure.

While she was friendly and enjoyed sharing stories, her attitude toward my requests left me uncomfortable. When I showed her a few designs I was interested in, she brushed them off and said it was "too early for a fall design," which came across as dismissive and a bit snobby. As a customer, I expected my preferences to be respected, not minimized. The quality of the service was also far below professional standards. At the very beginning, when she was removing the old gel design, she used the bur tool so aggressively that I felt a burning sensation from the friction. One of my nail beds is now bruised because of this, which should never happen during a professional manicure. The gel application that followed was no better -- the cure buildup was crooked and uneven, with bulky, thick spots on several nails. She was not clean in her technique, and the overall finish looked sloppy and unpolished. Although she was personable, the combination of poor technique, lack of attention to detail, dismissive attitude, and physical discomfort made this a very unsatisfactory and unpleasant experience. I would not return and cannot recommend her services. Mind you that i was the very first client of the day!

I was a loyal customer to a salon across the parking lot from this one for 5 years before I finally…read morehad enough of their nonsense with keeping appointments, so I had to find a new spot and stumbled on this one. I'm very glad I did! The inside is insanely cute and clean. The owners definitely love purple, because that's the theme (and flowers), and the decor is just beyond adorable. I've made appointments with ease both times I've came so far and haven't had to wait too long upon arrival to get my services started. For gel mani + regular pedi I think I've paid around 65 both times? So very good pricing! My gel mani has lasted over 3 weeks both times with 0 chips (and with glitter polish no less!). All the employees are super nice. They have a really good selection of gel polish. Their massage chairs actually work and are some of the best I've ever sat in at a nail salon. I definitely found my new salon in this place!

zero stars!!!!…read more absolutely furious. absolutely outraged. absolutely disgusted. my sweet, respectful, polite, shy young daughter went into this salon expecting a peaceful, relaxing nail appointment. instead, she was completely ignored, bulldozed, pressured, overcharged, and treated with a shocking level of disrespect. we called ahead and specifically made an appointment for dip nails with tips. we knew exactly what we wanted. we requested dip nails with tips multiple times. there was no confusion. after putting on the tips, the technician proceeded to apply gel x instead. we immediately spoke up and corrected her. not once. multiple times. we said dip nails. we called for dip nails. my daughter asked for dip nails. instead of listening to the paying customer, this woman looked us in the eyes with her beyond evil bad energy and argued with us and tried to tell us what we should want. she acted as if our opinion didn't matter and as if she had the right to override the service we specifically booked and were paying for. how dare you look us into the eyes with your beyond evil eyes, bad energy eyes and soul and ignore a customer's request over and over again? how dare you decide you know better than the person paying for the service? as if that wasn't enough, the technician also made my daughter's nails much longer than she asked for. my daughter specifically requested a shorter length, but her request was completely ignored. when we asked for them to be shortened, the technician refused. what makes this even more infuriating is that this happened to a sweet, shy, respectful young girl. her kindness was taken for weakness. her politeness was taken as permission to steamroll right over her. she was completely disregarded while an adult continued doing whatever she wanted. we should have walked out the second she ignored our requests. the only reason we stayed was because she had already glued the tips on my daughter's nails and we felt put in a position where we had no choice but to continue. looking back, i regret not getting up and leaving right then and there, even if the job wasn't finished. no customer should ever be made to feel trapped into a service they did not want simply because the technician decided to proceed against their wishes. we clearly stated what we wanted multiple times, yet our requests were completely dismissed. once the tips were already applied, it felt like the decision had been taken out of our hands. that is not how paying customers should be treated. then to add insult to injury, we were charged even more, $60 instead of the $50 we were told over the phone when we made the appointment for dip with tips! we were charged extra for a service we did not want, did not request, and tried to stop multiple times. and the part that makes me even angrier? we actually left a tip. we should not have. after being completely disrespected, overridden, violated, robbed, and ripped off, we still left a tip out of decency, a decency that was never shown to us in return. a nail appointment is supposed to be relaxing. it is supposed to be a treat. instead, this experience left us feeling violated, robbed, manipulated, and completely disrespected as paying customers. please do not spend your hard earned money here unless you want your requests ignored, your voice dismissed, violated, robbed, and your wallet emptied for services you never asked for. i have never been so angry after a nail appointment in my life. watching my sweet, respectful, polite, shy daughter be treated this way filled me with a level of rage that words can barely express. this was completely unprofessional, completely unacceptable, and absolutely disgraceful. shame on this salon.
