I travelled from out of town on 23rd to see a sign saying sorry we are closed! called the store, answering machine said "for best service, come in, open 12-6". Frustrating hearing that, while standing at store reading a hand written sorry we are closed sign. Especially after telling me they would be open that day, over the phone, 72hrs prior. The quote was adjusted down! Said it was a quick easy repair, and because they were not there when they said they would be, would not charge me full price. But during the initial quote they said if it was easy repair, he would not charge me full price...having said all that Item was repaired sucessfully, and in a timely manner. I would have much rather payed the full price and not have my time wasted.

Going into JTG was quite a different experience from previous iPhone problems providers I have tried. No appointment , no signing in and then waiting in a mall until called, service reps that used lingo, I could not understand or not having the ability to discuss with me the problems I was having with my phone without dismissing what I was saying or showing their impatience and annoyance when dealing a person who had computer limitations. Dave who ended up working on my iPhone was friendly, patient, informative and knowledgeable. My phone did not get fixed because Microsoft needs time to update some of my Info but Dave set that up for me to get done and then the rest of the repairs can be done. I walked out of there feeling good and relieved that I have a great place to go back with any other computer type problems and know they will be dealt with quickly and honestly. JTD System policy is that if you bring something in and they are not able to fix it, the customer does not pay. What a great way to run a business!

I was then sent to the nearby Verizon Corporate store and after an hour they told me they could not access my account either and that I need to call Verizon to get the account unlocked. they could not tell me why it was locked. we are on auto pay and everything was paid, no outstanding balance. Got home, very frustrated and spent more than 1 1/2 hours with online support who also had an issue unlocking the account. Finally the rep (who was good) resolved the issues but could not explain what the snag was. Nonetheless i bought the phone through her and chose to pick it up at the local Verizon store on SouthPark Avenue in Hamburg, NY. I was told they would help me set it up. I went to pick it up and asked for help setting it up. I was told it would cost $30.00. I just spent around $1000 for a phone and was not willing to pay another $30 for a service I never paid for before. Had I bought the phone at Apple they would not charge me! So I declined and simply asked could you just tell me what I need to do. I was told no I can't tell you what you need to do. I asked nicely, what do you mean you can't tell me what I need to do, she simply said it is against our policy. I asked to better understand the policy and reiterated what I had understood. "So I can buy a phone from Verizon but because I would not pay $30 to have you transfer my data, you can't even give me a basic idea how to do this myself?". Yep, against our policy. i wish I had thought faster and gave her back the phone and said thank you but no thank you I will go back to Apple and buy from them. They will transfer data for free and they appreciate the business! Mind you, this store was not busy! Several reps were just hanging around! i am so done with Verizon and will NEVER buy another thing from Verizon ESPECIALLY this particular store!

I ran into Jon ( ColoCrossing ) just after he started and had reservations on putting all my eggs in one basket..Jon..is a man of his word..he said he would make sure I succeeded..and I have. NOT once have I ever been mis-treated, over billed, or had a server issue with Jon that was not given the highest priority to make sure my clients were with out service. There Tech support has always been great to talk to, even if it was a issue I was trying to figure out for my business. I have no degrees in computing, all self taught..and as GSP's come and go..I am still here 10 1/2 years later. I owe a great percentage to my first conversation wit Jon and his employees over these years.
