Seeing they had a new item on the menu, prime rib I decided to try it. It was very tasteful and seasoned with a good crust. The basket of fried mushrooms as an appetizer was very fresh and fried perfectly. Their cream corn is one of my favorites. The restaurant is cute and decorated in a way that it makes you feel very comfortable.

Oh man, where do I start. I took my husband here, because we…read morehadn't tried it before. When we walked in, we waited to be seated, we were standing close to the cash register and kitchen area. As we waited we listed to one of the staff complaining that wasn't a great sign. As we were being seated, we noticed all the cute decor! Someone took a lot of time to make the place look so cute! The waitress was super attentive! Hubby ordered the special, a Meatball sandwich and I ordered a salad with fried chicken tenders... I had to cheat a little bit. That Fried Chicken was calling my name! The food came out after a little bit of a wait. I completely understand because the chicken was fresh. But my poor hubby got a mess of a sandwich. It appears they made the sandwich and it sat while the chicken cooked. It was a soppy soggy mess. The bread was drenched and completely mush. He said the French Fries weren't much better. I asked him if he could eat just the meatballs and he picked up them each up with a fork and each and everyone of them were completely black on one side. Totally burned. Boy I felt bad because my chicken was delicious! This is the reason I added two stars. We went to pay, my husband leaving his hot mess in his plate. The owner was at the cash register, I found this out because she answered the phone while checking us out (stating her name was Julie). She was in such a mood, she was rude to the person on the phone placing an orderIn fact she was even rude to us, she scared the bjesus out of me....so we didn't say a word. I sure didn't want to complain and start an altercation . Hubby will never go back. He was not happy at all. I might go back, maybe with a friend and hope next time is better ‍ Possibly everyone was having a bad day? It was not crowded when we dined, as it was around 2:30pm. We thought this would be an asset, but we were wrong. Here is hoping it was an off day for them. Dine at your own risk my friends. Stay away from soggy sandwiches! Go for the fried chicken

I had asked twice for a cup of coffee and was…read moreignored, not very frustrated about that, but it would have been nice for a cup of joe since I was having a caffeine withdrawal. Food was good until my date said she found a hair in her food, we dug it out and it was so long she got sick to her stomach. I then looked at my plate and found two different hairs on my food. Since I try to be understanding I scooted them aside and finished eating. Food was alright, did I expect a Michelin star meal? Of course not. Did I expect cafeteria food? Not really, but that's what we got. We paid (price was murder btw,) and left. That's just nasty, and considering it was my first time at a waffle king, it may very well be my last.

They simply could not have been better if they tried. Five stars if review was on service only! Food was not awesome. My mom's waffle was doughy and a little undercooked in the center. My dad's hash browns didn't have that golden brown crust and texture you expect with diner hash browns. Looking around the restaurant, other tables did, they just missed it for his, they were pale and sad looking. My grilled chicken was obviously out of a Tyson bag, but tasted fine. One thing on the menu that was very peculiar was adding melted cheese to your pie. Like why?? I do not want cheese on my pecan pie, thank you very much. Easy location with plenty of parking! It was hopping and looks like they stay quite busy all the time! If you need a quick breakfast and to fill a hunger, this is the place!

There are even an assortment of British hats that one can wear to up their game. Our party of 4 were the last guests seated at 1:30 on Sunday. We were nicely greeted and directed to our table. A family of 4 (with two children ages 6 to 9) were finishing up across from us. What a great place to bring children when they are well behaved and ready for this type of food service. Two members of our party helped guide us through the tea and food offerings. They mentioned that in the past the roast beef sandwichs were delicious. However, not on the offerings we received. There were plenty of items to choose from however. The curry chicken salad and cucumber cream sandwiches were my favorite. The teas were both caffeinated and decaf. Fresh tea is delivered upon request or if the brewed leaves sat too long. The hi tea was finished with a tasty cup of ice cream from a 15th century recipe. It was different and outstanding. Leftovers can be boxed and taken. Sandwiches should be kept cold however for food safety. When we left our party headed over to the sister store to purchase some tea and accessories.
