My old stylist stopped taking clients and I was in search of a new stylist. Enter Matthew. He was so nice and really listened to what I wanted. I came with old pictures of the cuts done on me that I liked along with examples of others with similar cuts. We talked cut and color and off we went to the color swatches. He suggested a color that I really ended up liking. He mixed the color up and then started putting it on. The color has this wild purple hue for some reason. He even admitted it was a new color for them at the salon and it made him nervous about the color it was going on. What do they say about trust the process? It turned out amazing! That was the first time.(me in black) I got so many compliments on the color and cut that I decided to make him my regular stylist!!! I went back just recently and he did not disappoint! Went to Volt for the first time. Online, it says haircuts are $45 for children under 10 and adult women is $70-$100. Stylist Renee charged me $85 for a CHILD'S (8 year old) trim. Insanity. When I asked why it was so much and why it doesn't match the online prices the receptionist said "she's a master stylist". If you want to be ripped off come here. read more

I waited for 15 minutes and went to the receptionist desk again and the guy told me another10 minutes. the stylist never came by to let me know she is running late. Nobody said anything. I watched her take her time, chatting, totally cluessless that she had another client sitting there waiting for the past 30 minutes. After I waited 30 mins I told the guy I'm leaving and canceling my appointment. His response was ok. no sorry. what horrible service and so unprofessional and a waste of time. read more

I've gone to Haley at Volt (formerly Level 12) for close to eight years. She has always done an axing job. She wasn't available so I had my color done by Marisole last week, followed by a cut by Amanda. Amanda could tell the color was off so attempted to correct it. It wasn't successful so she told me to call and get back in to see her as soon as I was back from a short trip. Just called to schedule and the manager, Kimberly, told me "she had decided" that she didn't want any of the stylists to even look at my hair and make any effort to do a decent job, and would instead refund my money. Again, I haven't had one single issue in eight years. Never had one single instance of needing any sort of rework. This level of inexperience and poor customer service is truly disgusting and I highly suggest not taking your business here. Hope Haley gets out of here so she can continue doing an awesome job for her clients. read more
