I was considering Pets Hotel until i found out that they crate their dogs most of the day and barely play outside. Ollie doesn't like crates and loves to be around humans and other dogs. So, I did my research and came across Maisy's Mutts! We did a meet and greet 3 weeks before I had to leave for the weekend and it went great. However, I realized almost immediately that she had some serious behavioral issues--specifically intense leash aggression and barking--that I simply wasn't equipped to handle alone. After researching local options, I gave Bill at Sierra K9 a call. It was clear right away that he has a genuine passion for what he does. He took the time to listen to my specific goals: I needed Sky to truly become part of my "pack" and be well-behaved enough to join me at breweries, and events. Bill outlined his methods and experience in great detail, and we sat down to map out exactly what it would take to get her there. I opted for the two-week intensive Board-and-Train program. Bill made it clear that the training wouldn't end when I picked her up; he committed to meeting with me for as long as it took for me to feel confident. Throughout those two weeks, Bill and his wife, Shelby, sent regular progress reports, photos, and videos. Seeing her thrive gave me so much peace of mind--it was obvious she was making strides and was incredibly well cared for. On pickup day, Bill and I had a thorough hand-off session. While I was impressed with Sky's progress, Bill was honest with me: the foundation was there, but the real work was just beginning for both of us. When we got back home, I'll admit I struggled. The leash reactivity and pulling returned, and I felt completely hopeless. But Bill and Shelby didn't leave me hanging. They checked in daily, "talked me off the ledge" more than once, and quickly scheduled an in-person session at my house. When Bill arrived, he could tell I was frustrated. He calmly reminded me of the process and took Sky's leash; she immediately "snapped back into shape"--no pulling, no barking, just focus. He carefully observed my handling, gave me manageable homework, and, most importantly, helped me reframe my mindset. He taught me that training isn't a chore; it's an exercise in patience and a form of therapy for both the owner and the dog. Fast forward one month: I've been working with Sky every day and meeting with Bill weekly (and he is always perfectly on time). The transformation is night and day. While she's still a little better on the leash with him than with me (haha!), she is truly a different dog. I know now that with time and Bill's continued guidance, Sky is going to fit in perfectly. I'm actually enjoying the work, we celebrate the wins together, and I am sincerely grateful to the Sierra K9 team.

He had hip dysplasia and she knew that, he had been here before but we were not aware of the tub (it's hidden out back and we would never have let him participate in that portion if we knew about it) She didn't tell us he fell until we picked him up. She took the money for the haircut. He broke his femur and it would have been an $8,000 surgery to repair. He was 12 years old. She claimed to have insurance. It's been over two months and she has done nothing but blame us for the fact our dog is no longer with us and the insurance she claimed to have, she does not. She has dragged us through enough. I was hoping she would show some decency throughout any of this and she has not. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR BUSINESS. Happy to provide more details for any interested upon request.

Camp Lisa is an amazing boarding facility! The cage free concept allowed my Skylar pup to feel…read morecomfortable. The kennels are great because they allow access to inside and outside zones. Skylar was carefully placed with other dogs that were her size and age. When we picked up Skylar she was happy and appeared clean. A couple days later, I took her to a vet appointment, and she was very social with other dogs. This was not like her at all! Camp Lisa actually helped my dog become socialized. I will be bringing her back to Camp Lisa! I have recommended this place to friends. I feel lucky that this place is in our community. I was anxious for months because he didn't get along with my parents' tiny Schnauzer. How was he going to survive two weeks? I felt better when I learned that Rusty would work with the dogs a few times per week. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw photos of Oz and Charlie peacefully coexisting. My parents also learned a ton of dog training tips to bring home and share with us. We used a few different dog trainers in San Francisco when Oz was a puppy, but it wasn't particularly helpful. I grew up with two Golden Retrievers from a breeder in the UK. When I compare my experiences with them to my experiences with Beary, I can say that I have had a much easier time with Beary. Heather sure knows her stuff when it comes to breeding, and she has the best puppy trainers around. Beary already knew many of the basic commands when he arrived and was trained to go to the bathroom in a litter box. Beary is sweet-natured and funny. Playing fetch with him is more entertaining than watching TV. He has no health issues, is very intelligent, and he's always good but perhaps sometimes just a little mischievous! He learns quickly and is very well-behaved. He's also extremely beautiful, loves to cuddle, and is very caring. There's nothing more I could have asked for. Thank you, Heather, for all you do. My life is much happier with Beary in it.
