I went to the mall straight from work. I decided to go into Von Maur. Beautiful store! We just wanted to walk around and look at everything. shortly after we got into the store I noticed a woman who worked there started following us. She didn't approach us at first but was watching us like a hawk! I was feeling quite uneasy about this. She started to get very close to us. I then realized that she probably thought we were going to steal something. I knew we were not dressed upscale enough to "shop" in "her" store. She was so close to me that if I stepped backward I would step right into her. So I decided to say something to her. I turned and looked at her and said "Can I help you with something?" she seemed visibly uncomfortable and then said if we were not going to buy something then we should leave", and much quieter she said "you probably can't buy anything anyway". So rude! I have had several other employees treat us in a similar manner. I don't care how nice of a store it looks like but customers are customers and you can't judge a customer on what they look like. I tell everyone about this experience and steer as many as I can to different stores. Do better Von Maur!!! read more

This is a great place to shop!! I always feel very welcomed when I shop there. The staff is always courteous and professional. I love the selection, and they even offer merchandise I'd never think a department store would carry, which is nice. The store is always very clean. They have a wonderful women's lounge. It's all marble and again, always clean. My favorite thing is the gentleman that plays the piano. I know people think it's to expensive. It's not really when you look at the merchandise they carry. And they always have a sale. A lot of people may not know that the round racks are always on sale. Year round. The shoe department is excellent. Everything about this is awesome. read more

Shopping in store: This store is by far my favorite at the mall. Customer service and professionalism is a priority to this company and it is evident in how associates treat customers. Help is always available, but never over bearing. Prices are amazing when you shop sale you can get almost anything for a steal. My latest boot there I bought a Men's North Face Denali 2 jacket for $89! (Regular price $179). If something is not available in the store they will search the other locations and have it sent in free of cost. I can't say enough about this store and how much I love shopping there. The store card: I have a card with them and just like the ease of everything in store, the card is just the same. The website is simple to use and customer service is easy to talk with, although I've only had to call once. I haven't had any issues what so ever. I also love the zero interest on this card. I highly recommend it to people needing to build credit, if you can be responsible to repay it regularly. read more

I have always loved this store, but after coming in to make an exchange today, I can't imagine shopping elsewhere! I had purchased a necklace in late November, and after only a few uses it had broke (it was a fairly dainty necklace). I came into the jewelry department wondering if there was any sort of warranty policy, and once I explained the situation, Haley, the associate, immediately assured us that she was able to replace or return it. Unfortunately, I didn't have my receipt and I had a hard time deciding which card I had made the purchase on. She bared with me through everything, even though it was very difficult, and eventually was able to get an exchange made. I have always had amazing experiences like this here too!! read more

I am young but I am very capable of making a full purchase.. But when I asked about Kendra Scott's birthday discount she very rudely responded they don't do that anymore and she failed to make eye contact with me. Also, she Never smiled. When she handed me my bag she handed it to me in a disgusted manner. Sarcastically saying have a nice day. I was very disappointed with my experience. Easily my favorite department store in OKC! Such class and elegance right when you walk into the door! They even have umbrellas in case it's raining by the entry doors. Also if you have to go to the bathroom, use it! By far the cleanest one I've seen! I'd honestly rather use theirs than my own! Marble, fresh flowers just delightful! Their brands are great and their sales are even better! Wednesday are their markdown days. Free gift wrapping on every single item even if it is sale! I was here for opening day. It was pretty fancy! Place was packed. I've never been to a Von maur before but it reminds me of Nordstroms. Pretty much exactly the same. High end retail, makeups and perfumes, clothes, shoes, etc. It was really cool that they had a clown there blowing up balloon animals and a face painter (that was pretty legit). I have a love/hate relationship with Von Maur. It's my go to place for event outfits and quality wardrobes pieces; however, the sales people except the dress and shoe department are awful and it's not their fault. Clearly, they are being encouraged to approach the customer immediately and follow them closely for loss prevention saying "may I help you?"..."May I help you?" ....MAY I HELP YOU???" I worked for a women that managed a cosmetics department. She said "if you want to get rid of a customer ask "May I help you?". People have heard that enough that they are immediately annoyed by the question. Talk about the product you see the person looking at, say "Hi" I'm here if you need anything, talk about new arrivals, just let them know you are there and let them shop. Loss prevention...at least pretend to clean and straighten and not treat the customer like they are a Criminal while staring at them the whole time. Losing sales? Update training. read more

I recently went here when shopping with my Mother and was really pleasantly surprised by the store. It was clean and organized and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a fantastic children's section, and they also have a nice selection of evening gowns, one of which I purchased for an upcoming event. The price was reasonable. I travel all over the world and the country for work, and Von Maur's is one of my favorite department stores. It's spotless. Even the bathroom is beautiful. I love the selection of clothes. You'll find Calvin Klein, but you'll also find more unusual brands like Joules, a British brand. I have never been in this store when I wasn't immediately approach by a pleasant person, asking if I needed help. They always seem to have a sale going, and there are some serious bargains. But even the sales racks are neat and tidy. To me, this speaks volumes for a management team that cares what this store looks like, and that it epitomizes the best in what a quality department store should be. read more

This falls right between Nordstroms and Dillard'sas far as quality. . The prices are high end as well as the clothing and accessories. You can find designer clothing, purses and shoes. There is many times, a live piano player that really does set a nice tone. The only downfall is really the limited selection and sizing. read more

I was expecting this place to be kinda like Macy's but it is a little bit of a mix between Macy's and Nordstrom. Very classy and clean. I could find things easy. My husband and I have always had great service and super friendly associates especially in women's shoes. If you ever go to Von Maur ask for Zoey she is an amazing and knowledgeable associate.
