Stopped at Vonnie's on our way through town because my guy was craving a slice. Cute little place with the interior walls covered in Harley t-shirts. Quite a unique idea! My guy ordered a slice of pepperoni (FYI - slices are only available until 1pm) some cheese stuffed bread sticks and a churro. When we opened the pizza bag in the car as we drove, there were actually two slices. Not sure if we paid for two even though only one was ordered or if they were being generous. The two slices combined made for what I thought one slice would look like sizewise. My guy said the flavor was average. The cheesy breadsticks were good - loaded with cheese and some nice garlicky flavor on the outside. The churro....well, I took one bite of the churro and declined another bite. I love churros and this was NOT good. Barely any cinnamon & sugar on the outside and the inside was not cooked enough. Pass on the churros! Service was kinda friendly, I guess. read more

Globe-Miami is pretty well known for its Mexican food, but I have to say I think this pizza is some of the best I have ever had! I have been to places in California, Flagstaff, and The Valley, but I love this place! The prices are great and they have some BIG pizza! I have not had a topping I didn't like! read more

I need to re-tract my statement about Irene's having the best wings.. I just hadn't tried these ones yet! The hot (mild) and BBQ wings are so tender and fall off the bone. They can spice up the hot wings if you like more kick - but the flavor is awesome. We had the Fatboy Calzones last week for a meeting and ordered small. They're huge, and big enough to feed 50 grown men. Pizza is also awesome. Service is even better. There's nothing I like more than hometown people giving hometown service. Came in because the reviews were mostly positive and I've seen this place off the side of the road for years. Nice locale and friendly people but the pizza tasted like if the dough was previously frozen? Ordered the 5 wings deal. Wings tasted like they were just warmed up and not fried. The bottle of hot sauce to pour on our wings should have been a clue. Don't want to bash this place too bad because the people are super nice but this review is about the quality of food, not service. read more

My fiancé showed me this gem and since this is his hometown he knows all the good places to eat. With that being said Vonnie's happens to be the best pizza place in town. The owners are friendly and pizza is always great. It has a biker theme to it which I find unique. My favorite is the jalapeño popper pizza. It has a cream cheese sauce base and topped with crispy bacon and spicy sliced jalapeños. It's is just delicious! Vonnie's is located right off the highway so if you are just passing through it is convenient and easy to find. The only downside is they aren't open on weekends so be sure to try this place during the weekdays. read more

If you live in Globe or just passing through make sure you stop here. They have the best calzones and Pizza. If it's not on the menu ask for it they will make it for you. The price was reasonable and the service was priceless. I will definatly be stopping again when I pass through town. read more

We were traveling through town and wanted pizza, so the reviews seemed pretty good for this place (should have paid attention to the dates) and we decided to try them. Ordered a triple mushroom pizza, explaining we just wanted a pizza covered in mushrooms. Well, what we got was a DiGorno pizza, I think right out of the box, with tomato paste stuffed under the cheese, and not enough mushrooms to be considered a single topping. I called and asked if maybe our order got mixed up, but I was assured that is what they considered a pizza with triple mushrooms. I was so afraid I was going to say something I shouldn't say I just hung up. We went next door to the Walmart and gave the pizza to the homeless guys, and his face curled up. I asked what was wrong, and he said, "We get Vonnie's pizza all the time"...seriously, true story. If you don't have time to go home and cook the frozen pizza in your freezer, and you really love frozen grocery store pizza, this place is for you. Otherwise, I'd suggest other alternatives. read more
