They installed the repaired tipm, and when that didn't fix the problem, they told me I need to pick up my car pay them $1000 for trying and they refused to do any more work. Based on their advice, I ordered a brand new tipm for several hundred dollars and had the dealership install it, which had no effect on the issue. That puts me at around $2000 that I spent by taking my vehicle to toy tech. Rude owner, and incompetent mechanics. I am currently looking into whether I can file a small claim against this company.

The vehicle had already been looked at by other shops and they determined the transmission needed rebuilding among other things. Armed with this limited info, I had already been looking at trading the unfortunately upside-down financed 240,000 mile thing and expecting to take a significant hit in the resale value. And that after spending $whatever just to get it running. Since replacing the transmission meant a $6,000 cost for this model vehicle I wanted a serious shop to take another look before moving forward. At first, Cory and team also thought the tranny was going ... until he discovered a bad motor mount during diagnostic inspection. Once that was replaced, no more "tranny bearing" noise. Apparently the engine mount caused a vibration that mimicked that bad tranny noise. Thank goodness they did a very thorough look over the entire vehicle and addressed the lesser problems first. Otherwise, I would have eventually ended up spending six grand and the negative equity unnecessarily. Cory found other relatively minor problems that led to the SUV needing to be towed in to them and successfully repaired / replaced them all such that my daughter now has pretty much a brand new ride. Cory and his guys saved me a lot of serious headaches and substantial coin. Not even close to the amount I was clutching my pearls over. Communication was also great with updates along the way over the course of a few days. Cory took care of everything and I never had to leave home and was even able to pay for everything over the phone with invoice emailed. All my daughter has to do now is Uber it over there to Cory's shop and pickup her ride. Thanks Cory. We brought our 2012 Acura TL with a bad fuel pump (trash in fuel) in Aug 2023. Auto Care USA…read morereplaced with aftermarket Delphi pump (100% markup by the way) that failed immediately after we drove off with fuel gage error. A known issue for Delphi fuel pumps we found out later from others. Also, the radio instrument panel did not work afterwards. To their credit they replaced the pump and somehow got the panel back on, but with another Delphi fuel pump. Later (earlier this year) we found out during an emissions alarm diagnosis (at a different shop specializing in Acura repairs) that the fuel pump had failed again (cracked and leaking). We chose to go with a genuine Acura fuel pump replacement and during removal discovered that the Delphi fuel pump was incorrectly installed by Auto Care USA as it was missing a key gasket resulting in the pump cracking and leaking. We told Tom at Auto Care. He requested an invoice from the repair shop and we offered to bring him old part. Tom did not dispute the failure and oddly did not want to see the old part. Since we had not heard from him, we asked for an update and he just said you should have brought it back to us. No refund. Now why would I have brought it back to Auto Care as they would have given me another Delphi to fail AND would they have missed the key gasket again? Do the right thing and refund us our invoice for the original repair. We will leave the cost of the emissions diagnosis out. Simply admit you made a mistake, which was an error and omission, not a defective part; and don't use 'part warranty' as a reason not to pay us. And in the future don't use cheap highly marked up aftermarket parts for critical components like fuel pumps. Their website says....Superior customer service, honest advice and fair prices, as well as performing high quality work are of the greatest importance to us. Not in our case.

These guys do it all and then some…read more More than just oil changes and state inspections They can do almost everything you need done on a car They do a thorough inspection of all parts and inform the owner what they feel needs doing but they *WON'T* do any work ever without the permission of the owner - also they will take the owner out into the bay to explain exactly what they are intending to do. The owners Casey and Graham are two of the most friendly, knowledgeable automotive service workers I have ever done business with, and I have done business with them for about four years. Relatives from NW Houston drive up to their shop because of the honest and excellent work.
