Kids and I came here before going to the movies. The food came out nice and hot and was very yummy! We had leftovers, but couldn't take them since we were headed to the movies. The owner and staff were so kind and offered to hold our to-go bag until after the movie. This is probably one of my favorite chicken wing spot in the area... this is our second time here...They give you so much chicken and the pieces are really big... They have a choice between half or full orders... We always order half orders and we share between the two me and my husband... And we still end up taking some home to enjoy in front of the TV... The only negative comment that I can say is that because the chickens are very finger licking good, they do not provide wet naps needed to clean your fingers and hands ... so we end up having to keep licking our fingers... and there's usually a long line out the restroom to wash their hands... Just enough spice and sweet. Others in the group could eat more than 1. I would give it a 5 if they had better side dishes. I ordered the Von's Special Sauce Chicken thighs. I was told it was baked and not fried. I really liked it. The chicken has a bbq charcoal flavor to it and the sauce was tangy and sweet and mild spicy, which I requested, and it was perfect. I called in the order. When I went to pick up, there were 2 people in front of me and no separate line for pick up only. It took me almost 15 mins to get my food. They should have a separate line for walk in orders and pre-order lines to pay. read more

You only need a tiny bit of the sauce and your whole mouth and tongue are instantly on fire!! The chicken was perfectly crispy and fried. It wasn't too dry or undercooked. We got the cheddar fries and were a little disappointed. The cheddar fries are with a powdered cheddar sprinkled on top with some chives. We thought it was going to be actual cheddar cheese melted on top. The flavor was good but just wasn't exactly what we were expecting. The location is very casual almost has a fast food feel. I recently leveled up in my love of spice (fan of the Hot Ones show & tried their Last Dab XXX sauce & got addicted to it, gave the rest of the bottle to my Dad, & was out of hot sauce & craving something really spicy) .... So Ive had Von's before & it's really good, but I had their regular crispy chicken spicy & it wasn't that spicy. So today I called them over the phone to ask them what the spiciest wings would be, & they (were polite, & patient btw) said it'd be their Yang Yum spicy. So that's what I got & it's no Last Dab XXX but it did not disappoint! Good flavor, not too sweet, just enough to balance it out, I got a nice burn that lasts a few minutes, warming as it went down, will probably have some spicy shits tomorrow lol- Their sides are well done too, the pickled radish is delicious & the coleslaw is very creamy, i like mine chunkier, but the flavor is good & its good for cooling down after the spicy wings. Great location because you can park in the garage and walk over, and maybe catch a movie afterwards. But the place isn't usually all that busy, not really sure why. Soooooo juicy without being oily. Very nice outer crunch. The spicy wasn't very spicy at all, but added more flavor. One of the best fried chickens I've had. The french fries were also excellent. I don't even like fries that much, but these were particularly good because it seems they put a slight batter on them, which makes them extra flavorful and crunchy. Highly recommend the fries. I've been ton bon chon a couple times and I'm glad that there is something closer to me that compares. We got spicy crispy chicken, honey butter crispy, kimchee fried rice, and cheddar fries. I was a big fan of everything but the honey butter chicken. I didn't enjoy how sweet it was. But maybe that's just me. I just felt the size of it was weird, especially compared to the size of the plate of chicken. Might be a good idea to use a bowl vs a small flat plate. The kimchi fried rice lacked flavor. I can't believe it! My wife and I came here after reading the reviews in hopes of a pleasant dinner. There was only another couple in there with us at the time and they were just about done. The waitress tells us to sit anywhere we want. And as we sat, another waitress tells us it was reserved for a party of 12. We gladly moved. We then placed our order, and at least 30 minutes later, food starts coming out, but it's not ours. It's for the party of twelve.
