Not a life changing donut, but a nice treat to grab before your flight. We got a dirt (Oreo with vanilla frosting) and a blueberry cake donut. The dirt was great. The donut isn't quite as light and airy as say a Krispy Kreme, but that's necessary to hold up against the hefty toppings. Oh, how I wish Voodoo Doughnuts were in New York. Prior to stumbling upon their storefront in the Nashville International Airport, I had heard many positive things from friends on the West Coast. So, of course, this serendipitous encounter meant I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally try them. I stood in line for a few minutes debating which doughnut to get (and changing my mind several times), but once I got to the front, I decided to go with the apple fritter. I am not exaggerating at all when I say that this was the best apple fritter - and one of the best doughnuts - I've ever had. It was soft, still warm, and had pieces of fresh apple inside. Ok one, this is and has to be one of the best doughnuts I've ever tasted in my life and that's saying something! I mean omg, I have tried these a few times now and I can't get enough. One, I know y'all are gonna freak but I'm a keto person and I only treat myself once every few weeks to something that's not keto. I hit my goal a long time ago I'm more on it now for lifestyle reasons and I like the results. However, if I ever come off this keto lifestyle it's because of this place! I swear this is the epitome of heaven in a doughnut the ones im especially hooked on are the Voodoo Doll and the Apple Fritter. Never so busy can't get them which scares me. Because I want you guys to stay and also build one outside of the airport here please. We all can't keep going on flights just to get doughnuts lol! Hype or greatness? Seems most people either love or hate Voodoo. I suppose I am somewhere in between. Opening just a few days ago at BNA airport, Voodoo doughnuts was surprisingly not busy - granted I went at 4:30am! We ordered some raised glazed, voodoo dolls, a maple bar and a Dirty. If you are a fan of Voodoo, you will like it and be glad it's now available in Nashville. If you don't buy into the hype, you won't even stop by. The donuts were OK. Nothing great, but not bad. Exactly 3 star average. Prices also not too outrageous considering it's at the airport. Would I come again? Probably not. read more

I'm from Seattle and have never tried a voodoo donut from the Portland location. I was very excited to see one at the airport. I was quickly disappointed when I took a bite of my maple bar to find that it was so dry and crusty I bet it was going on its third day of life. It was not a good representation of voodoo donuts. It's an embarrassment to Oregon. Stop selling old donuts and making them look bad. read more

The oil made the whole area around this place smell awful. There were only a couple types of donuts available (just before lunch). We were told they wouldn't be putting anymore out so we could choose from those or come back some other time. We went ahead and selected one for each of us. We were extremely disappointed. The donuts were just thrown in a bag right on top of each other. Flavors from one were stuck to the others. They were all very oily and just terribly sweet. Having a clever name or logo doesn't make a good doughnut. Making them extra big or using fancy or clever toppings doesn't make a good doughnut. Making up clever names doesn't make a good donut. (I asked the clerk what Portland cream was and she said it's Boston cream. Then why not call it Boston cream?) It starts with a good donut. As someone who's made my living as a baker for over 50 years and as one of the worlds greatest donut lovers, I have to tell you that this is not a great donut. And you can't save a lousy donut by trying too hard to make it great. I am giving them credit for making them in store. I remember when Dunkin' Donuts fried donuts in their store and they were pretty good. Now that they are made in a factory, they're absolutely lousy. So two stars. read more

I stopped by for coffee and I saw the delicious doughnuts in a turnstile by the register. I'm glad I grabbed a doughnut to accompany my coffee. I'm not big on doughnuts so I went for a cinnamon and sugar one. It was very tasty. I did enjoy checking out the different selection they had on display. Seems this Voodo is one of the worst I've visited. Service is rude when they just need to advise what cashier is open or not. I order same donut every voodo I visit and this one is by far the worst I've tried (not only once but twice). Train your staff to be kind and not be annoyed about something that is their own fault. read more

Very cool spot inside the Nashville airport. It was close to our gate ( I think gate D?) It's a pretty kiosk with 2 spinning doughnut displays, which I thought was cool. Their coffee was delicious & hubby said the doughnut was good. read more

First I must say that when walking in the airport for a treat it can be a hit and miss...no biggie, you just want to get something to hold you over, satisfy that sweet tooth, quince your thirst, satisfy your hunger or grab a drink to settle your nerves or prepare for the flight. Voodoo doughnut Nashville Tennessee's airport location is amazing....beyond tasty. Definitely a cute spot with soft pink and black colors...it felt very inviting. The workers were polite and the tables, counters and floors were very clean which was surprising for traffic in an airport. They've made sure to keep up with the cleanliness of the establishment. My girlfriend got the Dirt Doughnut which consist of a cookies and cream topping on top of the donut....She said it was sooo good...she of course gave me a bite and instantly a smile came across my face...it made me immediately find my inner child and want to swing my legs in total delight. I ordered the Vegan Maple Cream doughnut and OMMMGGGGGG....it was sooo incredibly delicious...at times it can be difficult finding good vegan options but this was by far the best vegan treat I have ever tasted in my life sooo when I say runnnnnn to Voodoo doughnuts, please understand the words that are coming out of my mouth ‼‼ Ratings... It was fun to try a world famous donut place! I'd definitely recommend it, and honestly, it's the freshest donut I've ever had in an airport. So why 3 stars? 1) It was incredibly hard to find. It wasn't on the maps we found, even when we did a search by name. It's right between gates T4 & T5 (you don't need to exit to international, which we thought might be the problem. 2) Although they had many donuts in the very handy rotating case, I could see lots of donuts in the baking trays that were not in the case, so I couldn't choose them since I couldn't see them well enough. 3) For being so famous, I expected something well above the rest but really didn't find it was amazing. I got the maple cream and it was decent (no regrets), but it did has that 'donut chain" taste, which is fine, and I still recommend it. But our local places are amazing, like Stan's donuts in Santa Clara. 4) Even the sign outside is marked as Kitty Hawk. You really have to see it to find it. 5) It did satisfy the sweet tooth, but I also tossed a third of mine because it was easy to not finish it. A great donut is hard, nearly impossible, to put down...so that speaks volumes. read more

Despite buying them later in the evening, I still found them to be pretty fresh and oh so delicious. The apple fritter is the best apple fritter I've ever had and the other donut also rocked it. I was at Nashville airport and had just gone through a traumatically invasive and completely unnecessary full body pat down ("randomly selected") and was feeling crappy when I spotted Voodoo donuts! these doughnuts are some of the best I have ever had. I love just the simple Old Fashion glazed maple or glazed with anything really, I am a fan of the cake fried doughnuts. One thing I noticed about these doughnuts is they don't leave an aftertaste in your mouth once you eat them like Shipleys or Donut Palace doughnuts. Too bad there is not other location other then in the airport past security.
