The scooter was taken in to have a service done on it and when my partner went to pick it up they informed him it would be more money because they had to change the brakes. I have never been somewhere in where they change something on a car, truck, boat or etc where they would not call you first and ask you if it's okay to do that. What if the client doesn't have the money and now you've just forced them into something that they may not be able to financially afford? He luckily had the money. Not too long after he had issues with the back breaks and was told he needed new ones. But they had just been changed so how is it that so soon after that they needed to be changed again. I know breaks are part of the wear and tear but considering my partner drives less than two miles to work I highly doubt it was wear and tear. My partner is not happy at all with them and honestly it makes me feel bad that I was the one that found them. Especially since it's hard to find parts for the scooter we purchased so it leaves us in a bit of a bind. Personally I've never dealt with a company like this and for sure it's a lesson learned.

To add to my frustration, the A/C on the ATV also malfunctioned shortly after purchase, with one of the hoses blowing out. They offered the same assessment fee of $192, claiming that they needed to evaluate it. It's worth noting that I had previously purchased a Robalo 360 in 2024, three Yamaha Jet Skis from Key Largo, and an EZ Golf Car, all of which had zero issues. It's surprising how differently things have gone with Riva Motor Sport in Miami. In the end, their handling of these situations has unfortunately led to losing a potentially loyal customer.
